We loved our stay at this lodge! Booked morning of and it turned out to be an awesome choice! Free shuttle to the mountain for skiing and they have a ski room with boot warmers! Room was nice and allows pets! Plus the pool/hot tub was really nice! Close to downtown!

I called on 12/31, first to verify hot tub was working and to check rates for staying at hotel. i was promised hot tub is working and I was quoted an acceptable price and was told they would add tax at hotel. I said ok. When I arrived, the cost had jumped about 50% due to fees, but the front desk person kept saying it was due to taxes out of their control. It was sorted out and about 20% would be returned at checkout but the remainder turned out to be a resort fee and a little for tax. I finally agreed despite cheaper options elsewhere because my back was sore and I needed hot tub jets. The hot tub water was warm, but turns out jets were not working and the hot tub water was really dirty to the point my wife wouldn't even get in. And they had run out of towels. The negative points of my review are directed more toward the front desk people. The room was fine with nice view of parking lot and I have no complaints about house keeping and the "complimentary" breakfast was as good as other places I have stayed in Whitefish. But I should have been told upfront, jets were not working or there shouldn't have been a large resort fee. In fact they need to be more upfront about all their fees. Maybe a learning curve thing since I was advised the hotel is under new ownership.

I didn't actually stay here, but I had a friend in town and visited there. This hotel is great! The den downstairs with all the games is very cool and the pool area is great! This is a great place to bring a family!

We were supposed to stay at another hotel but were very disappointed when we arrived. So we called Pine Lodge and they luckily had a room for our entire stay. Best decision ever! Emily at the front desk was so helpful and kind. They have a great pool/hot tub, s’mores every night, and free kayak/bike rentals. Easy 10 min walk to downtown and an awesome view of the river. Breakfast was pretty good too. We will be back!

My spouse & I had a great trip from Calgary, AB, CAN for 3 nights at Pine Lodge. We drove through the majestic Glacier National Park's Going-to-the-Sun/Logan's Pass for an autumn experience. Nothing was open at Glacier St. Mary's east entrance gate or Logan Pass' visitor center due to late in season. Road was still open with the absence of any snow, but historically closes mid-October.||We stay at Pine Lodge 2-3 times per year and we like the rooms facing river, games room & pool. The staff is always excellent and friendly to handle and need or request. | The breakfast is not what it used to be in the past without the chance to make a fresh waffle with berries & whipped cream among other things. The hot tub is just that with non-working jets (for the past 4 seasons). The button to activate the jets has a plate over top where it used to be. It was always nice to enjoy the massaging jets of the hot tub after a long drive, day of skiing or just because. I hope this is a priority to fix.||The hotel is also going through a change of ownership from Choice Hotels to a local group Averill Hospitality who owns the Firebrand and The Lodge on Whitefish Lake. I look forward to this new change and the local attention and enthusiasm of Whitefish that they will provide to this property!

Google
We enjoyed this hotel. They had a decent continental breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable. They had a nice game room that our son liked. He also liked the afternoon popcorn. The pool had an indoor / outdoor feature. We chose this hotel because of access to the kayaks. We had fun on the river, and it wasn’t difficult to paddle the whole way to the lake. The hotel was also along a walking path into Whitefish, and we saw deer on the path several times. That was fun! We would stay here again.

We stayed here at both ends of our trip. Excellent place to stay! We would recommend asking for a room on the river side with balcony. Beautiful. This little hotel has everything.. including a swim in and out pool, hot tub, den room with games , kayaks, bicycles too! Rooms are spacious and very well appointed . There is a small walking trail from behind the hotel to downtown . Easy short walk. A nice little breakfast is offered as are cookies, s’mores over the fire pit . Friendly staff!

The Pine Lodge is a beautiful resort in a fabulous location and its rates are quite reasonable. The staff, from the front desk, to the housekeepers, to the maintenance people, are incredibly friendly, kind and helpful. The property is lovely and well maintained, and I found my room and all the other areas of the hotel very clean. I stayed there for six nights after my original plans went askew, and I plan to go back next year.

Yelp
We were on a motorcycle ride to Glacier National Park and found ourselves here for a beer and snack. The lodge doesn't look too impressive from the parking lot, but once the doors to the restaurant/bar opened up, we found an unobstructed of Flathead Lake. The weather was wonderful, and we took advantage of the deck. There was a great choice of beers, including non-alcoholic versions. We spent three days on the road and the onion rings were the best we had anywhere. Very nice, but casual. They didn't mind two dirty bikers siting in premium seating, drinking beer!

Yelp
I LOVE this hotel! What a very warm welcome by the front desk. They gave us a goody bag, free cookies and just very warm and nice people. They also offered free s'more's on the back patio fire pit. We loved the room, pool... oh and the Den! We swam inside to the outside, in the snow :) after that we went to the den and played pool. Next morning had a free delicious, hot breakfast! Extremely family and pet friendly. I only have one complaint, the bed was to hard for me and my old bones, haha What a fantastic experience!!!

Yelp
I loved staying here! Staff was super friendly and personable. Lovely view of the river. Close to restaurants and shops but not in a high traffic area. Room was very clean. Breakfast was tasty and staff at the breakfast counter were very friendly and I enjoyed talking to the lady restocking the food. Can't wait to come back in winter and ski (hopefully).

Yelp
My wife and I have stayed at the Pine Lodge in Whitefish twice now, and have really enjoyed it. The price is very reasonable, and the rooms are very nice. Everything is really clean, and the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable, and we have not had any problems what-so-ever. The location is great! Whitefish is a fun little town, with lots of restaurants and shops to visit. The Pine Lodge is within walking distance of downtown, and is close to a supermarket and drugstore too. Of course, the whole idea of being in this part of the world is to see Glacier National Park, and The Pine Lodge is a great place to setup a base of operations for a GNP vacation. The Hotel is right on the river, and there are fun things to do here too like Kayak, Paddle Boarding, and biking on the green-belt trail that runs along the river. The pool, hot-tub, and game room are nice amenities too. We will probably be regulars at the Pine Lodge whenever we are in the area. That's how much we like it!

Yelp
I normally don't write a review before I check out or have left an establishment but I will this time. The staff at the front desk(Kydel check in and Don when returning). Kydel was extremely friendly at check in and after a very long day Don was the same as if I was just entering the hotel for the first time. What an amazing staff you guys have! The bedrooms are spacious with all the amenities you'll ever need in whitefish!

Yelp
When I was looking for a place to go since Yellowstone was closed, I stumbled across a review for this place (not sure where). What stood out was a review about their staff. As a retail manager, I appreciate great service so I made a reservation. I was NOT disappointed!! We were greeted with warm fresh baked cookies. We had smore kits for the fire pits. When I was unable to secure a reservation for GNP, the gentleman at the front desk helped me with a route around the park where we could still see stuff. And he did a great job! Every staff member was a star! The hotel had fun amenities as well. Free kayaks, popcorn in the lobby, indoor/outdoor pool, game room... such fun! My ONLY complaint was the height of the beds and I'm not even holding that against them. Montana was beautiful and the pine lodge was no exception!

Heather Z.

Yelp
Modern, yet natural, Pine Lodge is a comfortable and convenient hotel with luxury touches. The lobby has been updated to include plexiglass for safety, but maintains a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The front desk staff is great, quick to answer questions, and take care of any extra needs. The hotel has a dock - complete with kayaks and paddle boards. There are also bikes you can borrow because Pine Lolocated on a bike path. Our room was a suite, with a huge tub, a kitchenette, and a balcony overlooking the bay. We got sushi and ate in, watching Yellowstone on satellite TV. The bed had the right amount of firm vs soft, and the pillows had just enough bulk to be cozy. Definitely high end sheets... could sleep all day. Loving this place!

Yelp
We just returned from a 4-night stay at Pine Lodge and didn't want to leave! We travel frequently and this is easily one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Sooo much value here! To start, the amenities go above and beyond. There are complimentary bikes, kayaks, and SUPs you can take out as long as you like. We took bikes several times, and the hotel is located directly on the Whitefish bike path with easy access to the lake. We even saw deer on the path! There are also free s'mores kits for the fire pits (a really nice thoughtful touch), and LOADED grab & go bags for breakfast/snacks. There seems to be some thought given to the fact that most people in Whitefish are heading out for active days, as offerings include fresh fruit, protein bars, peanut butter, and more. Toiletries are really nice Bath & Body Works Stress Relief items, again a thoughtful touch. Although we didn't need it, there are two free airport shuttles as well. Next, in the midst of the pandemic, this place is sparkling clean and has gone to great lengths to keep guests and staff safe. Instead of breakfast and coffee being left out, the reception staff keeps it behind the desk and you simply request what you want. They're doing away with daily housekeeping, but you can ask for anything you need. We also witnessed multiple employees sanitizing common areas. You also cannot beat the location! Downtown is a 7-8 minute walk, the lake was about a 12 minute bike ride, Safeway and a very well-stocked Town Pump are just next door for groceries and gas, the airport is less than 15 minutes away, and Glacier NP is only about 30 minutes. Finally, staff is incredible - Lukas especially. Warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. In a time when many hourly employees do the bare minimum, this was a welcome surprise. We will absolutely be back!

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Rooms are clean, bathrooms have a decent size. The hotel comes with an indoor and outdoor pool, laundry room is big and they don't charge you extra for it. The location is great. It's only 5 minutes to walk to the city center.

Janice C.

Yelp
For a relatively inexpensive place, many nice features. You can use river kayaks, paddle boards or bikes free of charge. We kayaked Whitefish River to the lake. It was beautiful. There is free parking, free WiFi and breakfast. Our room had fridge and microwave. Our party booked 2 rooms. Rooms were clean. There is soft serve ice cream in lobby in evening and S'mores kits for kids in summer months. For the winter months they have ski storage room. No restaurant but many cute local places a short walk or drive away. Staff really helpful and pleasant. Would definitely return for a family vacation.

Yelp
Very good hotel. It is not fancy but clean and updated. It has good customer service. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and in walking distance to the main area. Thank you for a great stay!

Yelp
My company used this hotel on a film shoot while we were in Whitefish. They agreed to accept shipments on our behalf. I had something shipped there personally that was a that went missing. An order over $500. Fedex told us that the manager had signed for it (which was later verified when they sent me a picture of the signature). After looking for it for a few days and asking the front desk, we asked to speak with the manager who signed for it. We spoke to her and one other supervisor. All we did was ask for help finding it. To start we extremely non-confrontational, just "Fedex told us this arrived a few days ago. It's not in our package room. Can you help us find it?" From the very beginning they were defensive and hostile throughout the interaction. The supervisor helped us search throughout the complex, but to no avail. While they went through the process with us, from the beginning there was an attitude as if we were accusing them of something. They kept saying, "It's not here" to which I would reply, "But fedex sent us confirmation of delivery, so it would make sense that it's somewhere" to which they would reply something along the lines of "I hope you're not insinuating that we stole this" It was easy to tell from the beginning that they were simply angling to abdicate all responsibility. They claimed that anyone could have signed for the managers name at their desk, that Fedex automatically put her name because of the business that they do, that packages constantly get delivered to the surrounding hotels and are incorrectly logged by Fedex. In the end, we checked the surrounding hotels that they suggested, but they also did not have the package. Fedex sent me a picture of a signature for the package that looked exactly like the managers name who they said signed for it. Either this part of some grand conspiracy, or they simply signed for it and somehow it still went missing. I would have preferred they tell me "Perhaps we signed for it, but it still could have been taken out of your storage room, and it's our policy not cover these expenses in cases like this." Maybe an apology that it happened and a little understanding that it was a crappy situation for me. Instead their behavior was unnecessarily aggressive, preemptively defensive, generally unhelpful, and in my opinion not very professional. I get that maybe they maybe they were defensive because of past customers getting accusatory in past interactions that may have been similar, but I was not being that person and did not deserve that treatment as I simply tried to get to the bottom of things. IMO it was 1 star behavior.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our stay here! I'm a hotel snob because i'm in the luxury hotel industry and this checked all the boxes for me for our personal family vacation: very clean, comfortable, knowledgeable and friendly front desk team, spacious rooms, indoor/outdoor pool, very cool game/movie room, and conveniently located to the main strip (you will need to drive but it's less than 5 minutes). Great coffee 24/7, too! Thank you for an awesome stay.

Kara O.

Yelp
We loved our stay at Pine Lodge, Jamie and his wife were so sweet and their pup Miko, made my heart happy! Seriously tho, they take the time to talk to you, make you feel at home and ensure you have the comforts of home. Their rooms were clean, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel provided by Bath and Body Works and smelled so good! The pool was warm in the winter, the Den was so cool...a great place for all the boys to hang out and enjoy TV, pool, shuffle board...and comfy couches. The hot tub and pool area (indoor and outdoor) were also really well kept and warm. Nightly hot chocolate bar was top notch. Homemade cookies...smores at night for the kids...they had all the nice touches that really made this place stand out. So all in all, we would 100% come back. My only complaint was the night maintenance guy/security guard/stalker/mean guy/a$$hat that followed the kids all night...can we say creeper??? He not only followed the kids all night (HEY FREE BABYSITTING) haha... just kidding...he also smoked around them and blew smoke towards their faces. He was a bit much. He yelled at the kids, even with adults around. When my husband asked what the problem was, he started yelling at my husband who only asked what the kids did. If he wants us to discipline our kids, we have to know what the kids did wrong. While we were near them, we were not on top of them. For 13, 13-14 years old boys hanging out...they did awesome. So we are not exactly sure what was wrong with this man...but man, he needs a talking to. He won't be the reason we don't come again...because Jamie and the front desk crew made up for this wanna be cop. My only suggestion is that he stop following kids (I mean a grown man following teenage boys at night is weird.)...treat the parents with a bit more respect as we do take care of our own. Thanks for a great stay! We will be back, hopefully this summer!

Yelp
The Pine Lodge worked hard to provide me with a five star experience from start to finish, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. While this isn't a five star resort by worldly standards, by my standards it was nothing short of fabulous. From the friendly check in staff (including pet and people treats), to the goody bag with local wares (choice privileges perk), to the fresh made cookies, this place thinks of all the little details that make a stay exceptional. From November to April they even have a free nightly hot cocoa bar with toppings. We weren't able to partake because they only provide sugar free hot cocoa, but no complaints. We thought it was super thoughtful. We had a family sized room for a great price, with a beautiful walk out balcony overlooking the river and were just down the hall from the indoor/outdoor swim out pool and hot tub which my kids thought was a blast. They also had an awesome common space they refer to as the "bear den" where there were games, books, tv's, and a free pool table. the hot breakfast was also more exceptional than most chain hotels. They had a good selection of eggs and meat, but also more unique choices like spicy breakfast taquitios. On top of all of that they were happily willing to give us a late checkout with no complaints because our next digs weren't ready until later in the day. I left believing service isn't dead! Thanks for helping me renew my positive perspective on the world.

Yelp
Best customer service I've ever experienced at a hotel. Overall, one of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed at. It's not too big....not to small....just right. Super clean room and super comfortable bed in my room. It's about a 5 to 10 minute walk from downtown Whitefish. I stayed here for 3 nights during my first visit to Whitefish and will definitely book this hotel on my next visit to Whitefish. Thanks yo the great stuff who make this hotel magical.

Lee-Ann O.

Yelp
The Pine Lodge offered great space and amenities for our family of four. We were able to upgrade to a suite which was conveniently located on the same floor as the den, a separate lounge perfect for kids and adults alike with a pool table, air hockey, and comfy furnishings. On the same level was the pool, laundry and quick access to the complimentary bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. The only upgrade I would recommend is a dishwasher and ice maker in the kitchen. We will return!

Yelp
I travel for work all summer long and I've been in way too many hotels, lodges and cabins... honestly this place not once out of at least 20 stays I can give less than 5 stars. The front desk staff on the phone and in person are all friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The rooms are always nice fresh and clean. The place all around is very nice and inviting. I'm staying her tonight and the lady who booked my room by phone was very nice and sweet. The young man at the front desk is very professional welcoming and made sure we got all we need. I Thank you all and we'll be coming back again and Again. Come to the Pine Lodge in Whitefish Montana

Lakota M.

Yelp
One word ... Yuck! This hotel is comparable to a Motel 6 at best but, it has a 5 star price tag .. 189.00 price tag for an outdated , smelly , dirty hotel .. On our way through the hall staff and maintenance people were everywhere .. Which would lead one to believe that the property & rooms would be immaculate .. Unfortunately .. Not the case. The only redeeming factor is the location & the grassy area for our dogs . The staff also had much to be desired the initial phone contact for booking the room was a very curt & irritated clerk & staff were sitting outside our room smoking cigarettes and letting the smoke waft into our room.. Ugh ! ... If the rooms had a paint job & a newer comforter than one from the 1980's it would be a little more worth it. We will not be staying here again & I'm going to need a few glasses of wine to even sleep here tonight!

Tara K.

Yelp
Very nice hotel! We stayed 3 nights, very clean and staff was very friendly. Game room was super fun, we used both the pool table and the shuffle board. The pool and hot tub were great, although we were there during a very busy weekend and sometimes had to wait to get into the hot tub. Breakfast had plenty to offer and the coffee was delicious! Overall we will definitely stay here again when we go back to whitefish.

Haley W.

Yelp
Beautiful place!!!! The room and the building itself were lovely. The staff was just incredible. Very polite and professional and helpful. The lodge is close to a lot of really cool sites and has a lot of accommodations. It was great!!!

S D.

Yelp
Loved The Pine Lodge. Didn't want to leave and would definitely stay again. I didn't take pictures but the pics in these reviews are accurate. Popcorn was a nice touch and always yummy and hot. The cookies seemed to go fast so we only got our hands on one batch during our two nights and one was good but the other was burnt. My only suggestion would be to throw the burnt ones out and don't serve them lol. We didn't do the biking but saw others doing it! We did kayak the river and it was so beautiful and what a nice benefit to be able to do it through the hotel for free! Also if you've ever kayaked before they have a launch which makes it so much easier to get in and out of the River off the dock. Staff was all very friendly and helpful with questions about the area-I wish I could remember their names but every single one of them were so nice. Breakfast was good and had lots of options. Beds were SO COMFORTABLE! Everything tidy and clean and even though the hot tub didn't have jets it was very soothing and relaxing! We've been on the road for a while so the FREE washer and dryer was huge for us! (Bring laundry soap but if you forget there's some for $2 at reception) there's a fly fishing shop in walking distance

Alex F.

Yelp
We had an excellent stay with 2 adults and a toddler. It was nice having a separate living area with a door to the bedroom so he could have his own sleeping space. Fridge and microwave were nice for packing meals for hiking. Room was very clean with nice updates. Breakfast each morning was good, your standard included hotel breakfast. The pool was not very warm but we were there during the first snow of the year. Being close to downtown whitefish, grocery store, and walking path by the river were all very nice. Not too bad of a drive to GNP. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful with information for hiking.

Dana A.

Yelp
Very accommodating staff and amenities. Conveniently located, and there is a complimentary private shuttle that takes you directly to the mountain, downtown, or to the airport/train station. Fresh coffee 24/7, delicious breakfast that accommodates dietary needs, laundry, and a hot chocolate bar in the afternoon to pair with freshly baked cookies daily! I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Whitefish and will be returning for my next trip for sure.

Lori S.

Yelp
I would have liked to rate this place higher- the stay was good up until we left the room from 11am until 230pm Sunday. It's a crazy thing to write in a review but someone definitely stole my weed from the room during this time. I had it packed in a boot and when I came back it was gone. Person knew I couldn't exactly go to the front desk with this. So, no, I would never stay here again. I stayed here despite reading a similar review that someone had something essentially stolen (left item on bed and hotel claimed it wasn't there). This was only 2 months ago so whoever the dishonest person is obviously still works there. I really would have liked to rate the place better but this was a real buzz kill to a pretty great vacation.

Bossy G.

Yelp
First I must give accolades to Weston for honoring our need for a pet free room. He seemingly did the impossible and was friendly while figuring it out. Second shout out goes to Tanner who figured out how to get closed caption on our TV. He was tenacious and did not give up when others would have shrugged their shoulders and left. We spent two nights and had a nice room on the river side. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Facilities are very nice. Coffee in the lobby was very good (always a pleasant surprise). The only negative is how awful the pillows are--hard as a rock. I had to make a topping of a sweatshirt to sleep. They have no alternative to offer. A silly thing given the rest of the amenities. Highly recommend.

Faustyna Z.

Yelp
I am so glad we stayed here, our time at the pine lodge was incredible. We've had really negative experiences at other hotels recently and this was such a change. We stayed over Christmas so we wanted a hotel that had a lot of amenities we could utilize when everything else was closed. We were given an upgraded room with a kitchen and living room, secluded in the corner which was quiet and private. The hotel and room were very clean! There is an outdoor/indoor pool and hot tub, a cozy game room and incredible buffet breakfast. The staff were accommodating and friendly! The hotel is a 10 minute walk to downtown and right next to Safeway, definitely ideal location. Would absolutely recommend!

Ramnik D.

Yelp
This place may be nice but their ridiculous policies make it not even worth your money when you have places as close or closer to the mountain that are nicer. Let's go through a few of their ridiculous rules, i.e. if you change the pH of the hot tub that is 75 dollars, if the remotes for the TVs are not In he right rooms that is 75 dollars, if the chairs are not aligned the way you found them that is an extra charge, there is no soap or toilet paper except the two rolls that come with the place you need to pay. Sorry, if I was in some mansion maybe these rules would make sense, but this place is not very nice and the rules are just silly. Don't ever stay here, It's not worth it.

Sarah J.

Yelp
This is place has a pool and a hot tub. The prices are great. Depending on what staff member you get, it will be a mix. Our reservations for two King Sized beds were mixed up, but eventually after talking with a few more staff members they were happy to accommodate us. We also had a very loud dog barking above us, but our staff member was quick with the room change and the apology. Very professional. We will definitely be coming back. Also - the inside has recently been 100% renovated and really does give an excellent room vibe! I have asked the business for pictures to upload (they may also upload). They have free shuttle that picks up guests from the train. Excellent storage space for Snowboards, Ski's,etc.

Marc O.

Yelp
My wife and I recently stayed here during part of our vacation. It was easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The amenities were great, the rooms were nice and well appointed, and the location is perfect. I'd like to single out two of the staff in particular, Jaime and Andrea. They were the nicest and most friendly people you could ever hope to deal with and made our stay that much better. Thanks so much and we hope to be back soon.

Petra T.

Yelp
The pros: We arrived an hour before check-in and the young lady at the front desk gave us out keys no problem. The rooms were clean and bright. Unused toiletries are recycled to be sent to people in need. Recycle bins are located in each room and throughout hallways. 24 hour juice & coffee bar. Price was great for a resort town. Love the indoor/outdoor pool (open until 11 pm). Gorgeous setting & views. The cons: No fans in the bathroom. Complimentay breakfast was a bit lacking, but this is coming from a girl who loves her bacon.

Callie J.

Yelp
Although this is a 2-Star hotel, it felt much more like a 3-Star (i.e. Hampton Inn) and I was pleasantly surprised! It is right on the highway but the outside is very nice looking. Lobby is nice and staff were pretty friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely! Nice and updated.. king bed, sitting area with couch, small kitchenette space and a brightly lit bathroom (I wish the bathroom had a fan). There was also a balcony overlooking the river which was awesome. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Great price for what we got. Overall a great experience and we would definitely stay again!

Kate M.

Yelp
I found the room clean and modern. I was thrilled to find a recycle basket in the room and the recycle soap/shampoo notice in the bath as well as what looks like ECO countertops. Finally a hotel that is run with concern for the amount of recyclable trash that it produces! They get my five stars for that alone. The soundproofing is not terrific but even with a roadside room and people on either side of me, I had a pleasant nights sleep. I will definitely return and recommend this hotel to others.

Matt P.

Yelp
1. Uncomfortable bed (confirmed with a co-worker). 2. Small/inadequate fitness room/closet. 3. For $100+/night, you'd expect complimentary toothpaste (or at least be able to buy it there)...especially fter 11pm at night when you're ready for bed and all you want to do is brush your teeth and go to sleep. To be told by the front desk attendant "no, you're going to have to walk half a mile south", that's just terrible. I think management needs a wake-up call...saving $1 on toothpaste & having customers go to bed upset is not a good business model.

Yelp
The hotel seems a little dated, but they seem to use that as a selling point. From the outside it looks "rustic" with its big hewn log porch and balconies. Staff that I met were very courteous, our room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was the usual faire of frozen waffles and cold pastries. Cold cereal, fruit and bagels. But they had a toaster and microwave so I ate enough to be full. We didn't use it, but the pool started indoors and then a swim tunnel connected to an outside pool. The deck outside overlooked the river, and included a hot tub. Staff said the pool was heated too. It's located only a mile from the Amtrak train station so that was why I picked it, but after seeing the other hotels near it- I think I got a great deal. I would stay here again.

Yelp
The staff and service here was above and beyond! The rooms were nice and clean, and so many complimentary things are included in your stay. There is a huge game room, laundry machines available for you to use, internet, canoes, bikes, delicious cookies, sundaes, s'mores and, of course their breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
The staff at night were kind, but when I called right after checking out to see if they could see my airpods on the bed where I left them they said they couldn't find any and when I called back again they could not seem to find any airpods. I am certain they were right there on the bed and upset that they did nothing more to help.

Yelp
We stayed here 9/22-9/26. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable too. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The amenities were nice. Ask for a room on the river side, nice and quiet. We really hope to stay here again. Also the breakfast was good.

Yelp
My husband and I had a great experience. Clean, super friendly staff, and pet friendly. There is a lawn area with poop bags and garbage cans available for your pets and a paved trail system for an easy walk. Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty. only complaints is that there was only one chair on the patio for a two bed room, and we were placed on the 3rd floor all the way at the end. It made for a long walk with two dogs and all the luggage.

Yelp
Realistically, 2.5 stars. The room is nice. The bathroom isn't. The shower barely fits a single person when there is plenty of room for a larger shower. Amenities are good for a family. Average hotel trying to be a nice resort. Needs to do a little more to get there.

Yelp
Whitefish, Montana: Nice spacious rooms. Good value as compared to THE LODGE AT WHITEFISH. No complaints ... little bit like a newer Hampton Inn

Yelp
Decent price for the area but everything was old and worn out. Breakfast was weak. Very nice indoor/outdoor pool and hot tube.

Yelp
The rooms are dated, but clean. I dont think much has changed since the 80's. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our ac wasn't working, so we called the front desk and the maintenance guy came up and took a look. He was able to replace the whole unit in a matter of minutes. Additionally, the pool here is much nicer than the one at grouse lodge. In fact, the pool is fabulous! Breakfast was nothing special, but again the staff were nice. As another bonus, the dogs were allowed on the patio above the pool without a fuss. It was nice to be able to have the dogs allowed anywhere after staying at grouse. Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars or minus I would. The bed had different pieces of hair on it. I found a pillow with what looked like dried blood on it. I would have stated anywhere other than here. The staff was not attentive and the cleaning staff seemed like they were upset I requested my sheets to be changed daily. I had never been to whitefish so I don't know if there are worst places, but personally I have never stayed anywhere worst than this place.

Yelp
I have severe fragrance allergies and this hotel went out of their way to make sure that our room and linens were cleaned without fragranced products. Their common areas had no smell either (other than what guests had on). All the staff we had contact with were very pleasant and helpful. We got in early on the train and left late on the train also and they were very accommodating with our luggage and transportation. We will stay here again. Thank you.

Yelp
Last minute booking and the Pine Lodge still had some rooms available. Seemed pricy (pushing $200 after tax) but then again, at the last minute in that area of the state, that's probably below the average for a nice place. Rooms were good sized, clean and comfy. Continental breakfast had your basics (toast, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal) and they had coffee/hot chocolate going all day. Indoor pool connected to an outdoor pool on a balcony, which also included a hot tub and view of the river. Staff were all polite and helpful.

Yelp
Booked online. Seemed like a decent price and decent reviews. Is listed in Whitefish top 10 accommodations. Would rate as OK. Could have been cleaner, found a Bobby pin under the night stand when looking for something I dropped & floor not that clean. The tub looked as if it had not had a good cleaning or scrubbing for awhile. Fire alarm went off later in evening & not a lot of direction from staff; they seemed rather confused and disorganized. Feel it is pricey for quality. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

Yelp
Stayed here for three night while fishing in the area. Clean room with fridge, free wi-fi, ice makers on each floor and very helpful staff, especially Ashley. Breakfast left me wanting, need to add some bananas to the selection and yogurt.

Yelp
The hotel is more than adequate unless you're Imelda Marcos or Frank Sinatra--in which case you pay the sort of money to stay in Meridian Hotels wherever you go. The Pine Lodge is clean, the front desk staff are courteous and the gas fireplace in the lobby is super when you come in from a cold damp winter evening I enjoyed my stay and never felt harried. The rooms with views are unique and uplifting when awakening and looking out on the river. Whitefish has done a pretty decent job in keeping the river bank accessible to all the public. Nice balconies, too!
