This place continues to be our favorite and only place we wish to stay when coming to ski at Beaver Creek. Our 6th time here and we can't wait to return. |The rooms, location, amenities, and ESPECIALLY the staff (thank you Justin, Hannah, Austin, Ben and the housekeeping crew!! And how we miss Leighana, Kyle, and Stephanie and the old crew too). ||We are family of 3 and just LOVE staying here. The staff are WONDERFUL. The accommodations and amenities are excellent. Feels like upscale home. ||Ski in and out with self serve ski storage and boot drying. Beautiful workout facility with a STEAM Room. Outdoor pool/hottub. And a delicious restaurant. ||Can't wait to return!

This is my third stay at the Pines. It was just about as good as it was before. I've written a detailed review on earlier stays, so will just add a couple of comments:||I was there in mid December so maybe things weren't 100% geared up for winter. Despite information sent to me, the on-site rental/service shop wasn't open yet. That was too bad as I wanted a tune up and had to do that in town instead. No big deal, but it would have been nice to have on hand.||The water machine in the lobby wasn't there although they said it was coming back. There were two bottle of water in my room which weren't replenished each day, but they were made of aluminum so I just refilled them and my flat pack that I ski with each day in the gym which had filtered water. There were also Celsius electrolyte packets in the room with a note saying they were complimentary during my stay, but after day 1 I asked at reception and was told it was only the first day you get them. I just asked the hardworking housekeeping nicely and they gave me more. ||There was no detergent readily available for the sole washing machine available to guests, but again, I was given some when I asked housekeeping. It is so great to be able to do a load mid-trip! ||Keurig in the room was really appreciated even though there is coffee on the floor in the mornings. I like a strong cup and if you don't put in too much water and use two capsules you get a decent drink. Oddly, there was fake creamer in the rooms, but real half and half capsules on the floor, so I just used those.||Because it was still early in the season, I didn't use the so-called ski in/out which is a bit of a hike and not great if not good coverage. Didn't really affect me at all as the free shuttle in Beaver Creek is really useful without too much waiting. ||Just a reminder that there's not on-site restaurant other than the very expensive (and probably excellent) dinner place. Again, using the shuttle to get into town and back for meals was really easy and you can also walk in even less time. I appreciated having the fridge for left overs and also for the cheese and other snacks I brought with me.||Only half the slopes were operational, but it was enough for me - I had a great time and will most likely keep using the Pines for my return visits.

Everyone (staff/guests) was so accommodating and friendly. My son and I really felt at home at this quiet and family-friendly resort! The location was great (about a 5 minute walk to the BC Village with ski-in/ski-out access). I also loved the fact that we were able to pick up our gear right there at the resort!

Great hotel, nice rooms, very clean, great service from the staff and the cleaning people. Very convenient location, just a 5 minute walk to Strawberry Lift and a bit more to the Village and to Centennial Lift.

Beautiful resort on Beaver Creek, close to restaurants, shops and skiing. They offer valet. Very clean. Great people. Coffee and tea every morning on every floor. Delicious hot tub with towels, next to the pool.

A very nice place to stay in Beaver Creek. Rooms were large-2 Queen Beds with a Juliet balcony- Beds were comfortable. Great Views of Beaver Creek and the Mountains. Open windows for fresh mountain air. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Quiet Hotel. Nice Fitness center under used. Short walk to the village at Beaver Creek. Did have a plumbing issue at 10 PM and the staff called a plumber to come in to take care of within the hour.

Okay…when I read The Pines is a RockResort, I thought of Little Dix Bay and many luxurious beautiful resorts that RockResorts built and managed. ||This isn’t it. RockResorts was bought out and changed hands a few times, so don’t get your hopes up. That said I did visit in summer, a number of the reviews that are laudatory are about visits during ski season. ||Pluses, —the staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating. Many are skiers; they really like living in Beaver Creek. ||Cons— housekeeping only every three days or pay and extra charge! That seems out of keeping. HVAC was so loud, I turned it off rather than deal with the noise. Windows don’t open. Bathrooms are tired. Pool is very small as is the gym. The hotel bill for two nights was three pages long, since this enumerate every tax and fee, just a little tacky. ||I had a corner room, but on the second floor, ask for the third floor so your view is not the roof of the first floor. ||I would probably look elsewhere.

Yelp
We got married here. The hotel was super accommodating, the cookies and coffee in the hallways were awesome. The views from the rooms were great. We would definitely stay here again. Valets also did a great job as well as front desk staff. It's pretty easy to ski down to the centennial lift too. Thanks and we'll be back!

Yelp
One of the best hotel experiences. Pro- location, room, valet staff, the young man a check was great, hot tub, ski storage, housekeeping, restaurant staff. Con- the young girl at check out was more worried about her personal phone, the bathroom is out dated.

Yelp
Epic stay at this lodge! Joined my wife for her conference and we loved this cozy lodge. Service was really good from start to finish! Everyone was very friendly. The room was nice and spacious. The service was awesome. The hotel staff really went out of the way to be helpful like really went that extra mile. The hotel was close to the main village and you could use the Beaver Creek circulator app. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the slopes but nothing too bad. The atmosphere of the hotel was really nice. It just felt like a nice lodge. They had free tea and coffee on all the floors in the mornings. They also had a washer and dryer on all the floors. The room was nice and the bathroom was a good size and super nice. I would love to come here again!!

Yelp
I have debated so much how many starts to give this hotel, but in the end it was just too disappointing to get a better rating but the hotel is nice so it gets three instead of two. The hotel itself gets 4 starts. First off, if you are expecting a luxury hotel with amenities, like a ski shop where they help with your ski's, this is 100% not it. It doesn't have a shop, the valet doesn't even carry your skis outside, you have to haul them to a little stand by the pool yourself. On the other hand, the room was super nice. The room is newly remodeled which is perfect. Good size, little couch, Juliette balcony, Chromecast Tv, and an actually not bad bed. The bathroom is whatever. They remodeled the rooms (all modern) but didn't remodel the bathrooms (very old styled)?! I don't get it. The pool is nice. It's a good size for a mountain hotel and the jacuzzi was enjoyable. The gym bathroom has a steam, and it's pretty nice. On to the 1 star portion of the hotel. The SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!!! When we got there, the valet barely even helped us bring down the suitcases. We carried it it to the trolly thing and they simply brought it up. Then the guy checking us in was ridiculously rude. Checked us in without looking up to greet us and didn't even check our ID? Never had that before. We also asked for a late checkout, and on the last night we double checked he said yes, but they said he never put it in the computer. Everyone else who worked at the front desk was also rude. They were never helpful or respectful. I also made the reservation on the phone with them (you get a discount with your epic pass) and told him we were there for my mom's birthday, when I made the reservation the man making the reservation said he would make a note and they would do something nice and special, but they never even acknowledged it throughout our whole stay. Every employee was terrible. On the the valet. They were always rude and unhelpful. We literally brought down our bags at the end and put them in our car ourselves. A sidenote, the restaurant in the hotel has such a strong smell of fish, and there seems to be no ventilation in the hotel, so the whole hotel smells terribly of fish. It was pretty disgusting every time you walk into the hotel, or went downstairs. Lastly, if you're expecting a ski in ski out hotel, do not go here. There's a little walkway behind the hotel with lots of snow that you can walk on and get to the middle of a ski run, which is not terrible, but it is not a ski in ski out hotel. I honestly would not stay here again because of how terrible things were, but it is disappointing because the hotel itself is nice but the bad outweighs the good.

Yelp
The hotel rooms are pretty roomy and beds are comfortable. This is a pet friendly hotel which is a good option if anyone wants to bring their furry kids along on vacation. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub was nice especially after a day riding on the mountain. The so called ski-in ski-out isn't what we expected, it's behind the pool/hot tub gated area and about 50-60 steps to the 'Intertwine' slope. However that part of the slope is really flat and narrow. I'd say it's about 1 min or so walk to where the slope decline to the Strawberry base area, which wasn't so bad; but it's def easier if you are skier using the poles ;) The valet parking staffs were very nice and friendly during our whole stay which my hubby and I appreciated them. But I didn't get the same vibe or feel welcoming from the front desk. Not that they were rude, but not 'genuinely' friendly from the time we checked-in and a couple times of inquiry/question about the hotel and the mountains actives. Overall an okay stay at this hotel, but won't be our first choice next year.

Yelp
We came by the front desk around 12 pm, the rooms were not ready, the front desk assistant told us - it's getting cleaned. We left our luggage and went for a walk. Three hours after - the rooms are still not ready. They were able to give another room to our friends, we still were waiting. 40 more min -the same story. I asked Them if it is as hard to clean one in 4 hrs? Besides us it was nobody else waiting. Now I've received a different respond-that it's actually a maintenance work going on in the room. And they don't have any other rooms to offer, so we still have to wait.my husband couldn't handle that anymore and we went to check hotel next door. And guess what - as soon as he stepped out another room was found and offered to us... The explanation was given - they said they are not guarantee rooms till 4 pm. Ok, I understand that but it's plenty of ways how you can handle the situation, at least show around, offer water, let the guests know where the bathroom is, where is the restaurant is, say what activities they can find here. But no, in that place they don't not know what is the customer service is.the stuff has to be trained better and educated. I will recommend to check another places around, don't waist your vacation here. And when I called front desk before checking out to extend it till 12, they told me they have a lot of ppl checking in so it's complicated for them. I remind them that check in is at 4, than after a long conversation, they extend it till 12.It doesn't make any sense. Those ppl don't know how to satisfy clients and run hotel business. P.S. There is no coffee machine in the room either ... The view is the only positive thing about that place

Yelp
Staying in Beaver Creek is always a special treat for us, so we were looking forward to returning to The Pines for a second time in a few years (we usually stay at its sister hotel, The Osprey, and have done so on 4 occasions). The Pines is an excellent lodging option during ski season, especially when there are deals. Access to the slopes is immediate, and you catch a ride up the Strawberry Express Lift and return via the Blue/intermediate Bitterroot run and exiting left at the signs on a green catwalk. The hotel is also one of the default stops for the complimentary Beaver Creek shuttle during the day. A valet immediately greeted us and unloaded our luggage even though we were several hours too early to check-in. However, we were not informed that they were keeping our skis at the ski-in/out entrance towards the back, so later we had to hunt one of the valets down to find out where they went. At the end of the day, it was very easy to just stick our skis on the outdoor rack. Loved the fact that the hotel offers coffee/tea service every morning on the 2nd and 3rd floor, and again with hot chocolate and powdered cider in the afternoons accompanied by fresh chocolate chip cookies. They also provide turn-down service in the evenings. The main floor had comfy sofas and chairs and a fireplace in which to lounge around by the lobby. Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to check out the pool, sauna, etc; however, there was a nice little gym and a small yet decent locker room. There was even a tiny ski gear/equipment shop in case you needed to rent or buy something you left back home. Our deluxe room was clean, roomy, and had excellent views over the village. It even had a small, walk-out porch. We didn't really notice the hallway noise even though our door was directly across from the elevators and next to the morning coffee & tea service. Though the tub was small, I liked that the toilet was in its own little area with a door separating it from the rest of the bathroom. My biggest complaint, however, is that compared to The Osprey, the staff here is a little more absent-minded and inconsistent. For example, we wanted extra bottled water in our room and made several requests at the front desk throughout our stay. No, we weren't trying to steal the attractive glass bottles - we just like to have extra as we drink a LOT of H2O, and the filtered water here is delicious. One day we called twice, and water was sent up an hour later. Another day we called 3 times spaced an hour apart, and water was finally brought up after the 3rd call. Yes, there is a ~$30 daily resort charge that includes the valet parking, but you'll find that everywhere in Beaver Creek. Therefore, I am not accounting for this fact in my review. Anyway, I highly recommend The Pines and would love to be a guest again.

Yelp
We arrived earlier than we should, I know that. Of course our room was not ready, and they said they would call to my husband's cell phone when it would be ready. We killed our time for about 4 hours, but never received a call. We finally approached the check-in clerk, and she said "All the rooms are ready"!!!! I said to her "You didn't call us to let us know it's ready." She just said "I just started working".... When we walked into our room, I found a hair in the bath tub and inside the fridge. Well, we were so tired to yell at them so we decided to go dinner and told them "Just bring in our suitcases into the room" After dinner, we found our suitcases were still in the lobby!!! They said that they couldn't open the door of our room. I've never heard such an excuses in my life. The reason I give them 3 stars, because they apologized and gave us a bottle of wine and free breakfast. But I don't think I will stay here in the future.

Yelp
Neither my boyfriend or I had been to Beaver Creek and decided to book a room here for the Labor Day Holiday. We were very happy with the room, the features of the hotel, the valets, and it's location to the village. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom was spacious adorned with a make up mirror, hair dryer, and scale if anyone is checking their weight on vacation! We had no complaints about the room, or the grounds of the resort. Great place! However, there were a couple of negatives which is why I won't quite give them 5 starts...Though the valet's were nice, I can't say I was overly pleased with the front desk staff. When we checked in I inquired about any credit card holds for incidentals as I had booked online, and the guy at the front desk was rather rude and short. He seemed almost annoyed that I would inquire. Also, we had seen shuttles in the village and called to inquire about the shuttles, and again, the same person was rather rude and short on the phone, as if at 9:00 p.m. he had better things to do than answer questions from the guests. The resort fee was a bit steep as well. We used the valet the first day as you have no choice at this resort, and never used it again until we checked out. Yet, there was a $30/day fee for this service. We enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely return, but would hope that the front desk staff take a lesson in customer service before we return.

Yelp
This was our second stay in a Rock Resort and the service at the Pines did not disappoint. From the Valet to the Concierge our needs were well met. Our room was nicely apportioned albeit without a mountain view. We did not spend much time in the room though so location was paramount. The Starbucks Coffee prepared just outside our room was a nice touch.

Yelp
Great service! I always appriciate being remembered by name from check in through check out ...by everyone! All employees were eager to please and friendly. I loved the hot tub with a waterfall and the beds were comfortable. The free shuttle made everything very convenient! I would go back.

Yelp
I stayed here during the summer, and it was really affordable considering how nice everything was. Beautiful rooms, fitness center, pool & hot tub, & one of the area's best restaurants in the lobby! The staff was really friendly and attentive, making for top-notch service, and I loved the little touches like complimentary daily bottles of filtered water, granola bars, and laundry room. This place understands hospitality. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they slip in a $33-per-day "resort fee" on top of the daily rate to cover the business office and mandatory valet (neither of which I wanted), but that seems to be a normal practice at any Beaver Creek resort.

Yelp
Our guests stayed at The Pines for our wedding and loved it! While I don't have much personal experience, I can say that their customer service was great and the delivered our guest bags at no charge (can't say the same for the Hyatt).

Yelp
I grew up spending weekends in Vail/BC with my family, and have stayed at every hotel (Arrabelle, Solaris, Sonnenalp etc.), and I have never had as great of an experience as I did at Pines Lodge. Everyone from the valet, to the front desk, to the waitstaff/bartender at Grouse Mountain Grill (best meal I have ever had) was so friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to Alex for being so helpful even when he was already off the clock. I will not be staying anywhere else but The Pines Lodge when I visit Beaver Creek. Thank you guys so much.

Yelp
Just returned from a skiing vacation and stayed at the Pines and had a wonderful time despite the lack of natural snow. The room was very spacious, neat, clean and well appointed. They are located close to the village maybe a ten minute walk or a short ride on the shuttle bus. They do claim to be ski in/ski out but due to the lack of natural snow the only option was the bus which dropped us off a short walk to the Centennial lift. Fortunately this lift serviced the dozen open trails which offer top to bottom skiing. The food at the in house restaurant was delicious as were the other meals I had at other restaurants located in the village. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the hot tub was out of service for the last two days of my stay. But when in service it was hot and the jets were terrific on my sore muscles. I live on the east coast and over the last few years I've been filling my bucket list by hitting a different Western ski resort each year. Beaver creek is one that I wouldn't mind returning too and I'll be staying at the Pines when I do.
