We’re a group of 15 Italians traveling together, and one evening we decided to try American-style pizza — and The Pizza Place was a fantastic choice! Despite not having a reservation, the staff was incredibly kind and quick to find us a table. Their hospitality really made us feel welcome. The pizza was delicious — different from what we’re used to, of course, but very well made with great ingredients and generous toppings. Everyone in the group really enjoyed it. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and great food. Highly recommended!

This was one of the only food places in town. It was busy when we went so we ordered to go. The staff was super friendly when we went in to pick up our food. And the food was good. Crust had a nice chew to it. And I loved that fresh jalapeños were used. The cheese bread wasn’t anything special. If I went back I would stick to just eating the pizza.

What an awesome experience we had at this excellent restaurant! The pizza was some of the BEST we've ever had. It was cooked to perfection, and the crust was just unbelievable. It was bar none the best meal we had in Bryce! Our server Eduardo was spot on! If we ever come back to the area, it will be the first place we go out to eat.

Google
Great place to eat! The kind host, service, atmosphere, and of course the food was great! Best we have had in Utah thus far. They have a decent selection on the menu if your looking for more than just pizza and accommodating to vegitarians like myself!

We were visiting Bryce Canyon and decided to stop by this spot for dinner at the end of November. We arrived right after sunset, and the place was almost full — a good sign! We started with the mozzarella sticks and English chips as appetizers, and both were fantastic. For the main course, we shared a chicken and bacon pizza with ranch sauce, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. Every bite was flavorful, and the crust had the perfect balance of crispy and soft. I paired my meal with a glass of red wine, and my boyfriend ordered hot chocolate (or something similar — can’t quite recall!). Both drinks hit the spot after a chilly evening outdoors. Our server was fast, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was exactly what we hoped for — cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a small-town stop after a long day of exploring. If you're driving through the area, I highly recommend this place! It was a pleasant surprise and one of the most memorable meals of our trip.

Google
Looking for a good place to eat in Bryce and were excited we found The Pizza Place. The drive from the national park to here was short and well worth it. We parked in the street right in front of the restaurant and were seated promptly. This inside was rather cold so we asked to sit outside. The were still prepping the patio so we waited 1 minute and were seated with a a great view. Our server was Adrian( see photo). he was a great server being a happy and professional person. The menu is extensive but we focus on our taste and got a large custom pepperoni, artichoke and mushroom pizza. We ate as much as we could and still had another meal for two as leftovers. My wife ordered a glass of wine, forgetting we were in Utah. The alcohol content was low and it tasted like apple juice. Adrain told us they serve light wine in terms of alcohol content. The pizza tasted great and with generous portions. I would highly recommend stoping here, food and service were great!

My husband and I stopped in for dinner yesterday. We had two calzones that were stuffed with meat and vegetables and two Utah brews. Our server was only 16 years old, but he did an excellent job and had personality to boot! They were relatively busy, but the wait time was not long, as all the employees seem to work together . Pizza is our favorite foods and we definitely rated this place high on the list as one of our best!

Best Pasta I have ever tested in my life. Everything we ordered is very testy. Excellent service. If you are visiting Bryce Canyon you must visit this restaurant and try their Pesto Pasta.

Yelp
near the Bryce Canyon,if u live at the ruby's inn and don't want eat there, this definitely a good choice。

Yelp
Our pizza was DELICIOUS, hot and fresh. As New Yorkers we know pizza! And we were so happy with our dinner after a cold day at Bryce. The waitress was amazing

Rafael E.

Yelp
Food was ok. Waited 25 mins for someone to put us on the wait list (we were second in line). The restaurant was half capacity. Our waitress never checked up on us after she gave us our food to see how the food was nor did she refill our drinks. After my father paid he included a $10 tip for our $105 meal and she demanded that we give her a 18% tip. (He gave her another $10 bc he was confused. We were all confused in the situation from what we heard from her). It's a tip...we don't have to give you a tip especially if you provided terrible service. The server was Johanna L.

Yelp
SERVICE We ordered take out (we recommend) both times since this spot is usually busy & packed. The servers were friendly & quick + pizza was done on time. FOOD Decently good quality pizza. We got the supreme and then the chicken bacon ranch with added garlic & dried tomatoes (Honestly the BEST ONE)... we ordered the chicken salad TWICE IN A ROW because it was so tasty the first time!! LOCATION This is *THE PIZZA* place in Tropic! I'd recommend to stop by and support this place and leave a tip ;-)

Consumer A.

Yelp
Great grub for a visit to Bryce. Artichoke beignets and pizza were great! Want to come back and stay at the inn next door when it opens for the season.

Bryon T.

Yelp
The Pizza Place was a treat! The patio was great. You get a great view of the mountains while eating some Za. The server was young, friendly guy who likely just got done training. A little awkward but he made it up with his friendliness. They certainly live up to their name of the pizza place though because they make a mean pizza. We shared a bottle of Pinot noir, and started with a salad and the garlic cheese bread. Both of which were great. Then, my wife and I a shared a build your own pizza for our meal and had the pesto sauce as our base with some sun dried tomatoes, chicken, and a few other veggies and it was absolutely delicious! This is a great option for dinner if you're visiting Bryce Canyon

Myke M.

Yelp
Just drove out of our way for a pizza. They were closed. Don't trust their website or Google. BS!

David W.

Yelp
The workers here really work their butts off! Pizza was great and came out pretty quick. The place is big enough for a lot of people but if they changed their seats they could fit more. I love pizza

Laurie H.

Yelp
A nice surprise in a small town. Excellent pizza! I had a small supreme and brought half home. Delicious crust, sauce, cheese and fresh toppings. Friendly and welcoming staff. They open at 3, so I had an early dinner.

Lina D.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious! The chicken, bacon, and ranch was the best out of the rest though. It reminds me of the chicken bakes you'd get at Costco but better! Also the service was really nice and quick with our pizzas. I wish I could've dined in but I didn't have the time to, but I will say that the place looked very clean and I love the decor of it. Definitely plan on coming here again during my next camping trip.

John T.

Yelp
Delicious pizza and delicious crust and friendly happy environment. Top notch and friendly, thoughtful service. . Plenty of parking, free Wi-Fi, good salad great menu interesting local beers we had just a very marvellous time.

James R.

Yelp
The food was a four (kinda) the service was at two, so we land semi comfortably on a three. Although my group believes the food was a three, not a four. We were the only ones there and they still got our order wrong. Very inattentive service. That bringing said this place is s better 'bang for your buck' than other options in the area.

Micah S.

Yelp
loved the vibes and wine. came here for a friday night vibes for wine wednesday (on a saturday) and loved it. say cheese is amazing; i want one on my own home!

Karey R.

Yelp
Pizza Place is an oasis in a food desert. We came in after a long hike in Bryce, so hungry, so thirsty, so tired. The staff was kind and helpful. It's like they've dealt with hungry hikers before.... anyway, they brought us a pitcher of water as I ordered "all the water please" and a tray of breadsticks as I ordered "please food". We got a 1/2 Chicken Bacon Ranch, 1/2 Supreme Pizza and breadsticks. It was all so delicious. The restaurant was clean, cool and I loved zoning out and watching TV while we waited for our food. I could not recommend Pizza Place enough.

Lee Ann P.

Yelp
It was such a treat eating at this little pizza shop. The interior is nothing to write home about, but on the patio you get awesome views of the mountains. Our server was a young boy who was a little awkward but got the job done. They live up to their name of the pizza place though because they make a mean pizza. We shared a bottle of Pinot noir, and started with a salad and the garlic cheese bread. Both of which were great. Then my husband and I a shared a build you own pizza for our meal and had the pesto sauce as our base with some sun dried tomatoes, chicken, and a few other veggies and it was absolutely delicious! This is a great option for dinner if you're visiting Bryce Canyon

Jon W.

Yelp
The food was okay. There are limited options in early April. The pizza place seemed like a good choice. My salad was great; the pizza was just okay--not bad, just middle of the road. Their service was fantastic. I recommend ordering takeout as their seating capacity is max 49. We only had ti wait about 20-30 minutes to get a table, which seemed great given the volume of people they were serving. The place is very clean, informal/kid friendly, and welcoming.

Moumita G.

Yelp
The service is really slow, since they do a lot of take out orders. The pizza is okay. You are middle of nowhere in Tropic and there are just a few places to eat. The place is really spacious and very clean . They have good music

Owen M.

Yelp
This place was so good and a good deal. The cheesy bread sticks with free refills on the drinks and the supreme pizza. It fed a family of four. Although short staffed, they managed to get our food quickly and they were kind. The place was so clean easy to find the restrooms, and the atmosphere was just pleasant. Come here.

Adrian F.

Yelp
Honestly the best calzone (sidewinder) I have ever eaten! The famous cheese bread lived up to the name. And whatever they put in their ranch can only be compared to fairy tears! (Delicious magic!!) The kiddo got the veggie Alfredo with NO veggies and inhaled the whole plate! The Mrs got the supreme pizza, again 10/10!!! Mind blowing! As native Southern Californians we know good pizza and this is great pizza! If you are anywhere near Bryce it is worth the 8 mile trek for some amazing pizza and even better service! We will definitely be back!

Calvin Y.

Yelp
When you search for food around Bryce Canyon National Park there are few good options and I'm glad that not only is there a good pizza joint in the area, it's also next door to wheee we are staying on this trip. You can order online but we ordered in person -- 1 large 16" Hawaiian pizza, cheesy breadsticks, a marinara mushroom pasta w/ garlic bread, and a garden salad. It's good food, I think the best in the area. Large restaurant with ample seating inside and on the patio.

H C.

Yelp
Pizza and wings were solid. The salad was small portion for a ten dollar salad. Service is reasonable. If you are in Bryce Canyon, this place is a good alternative to the steak houses.

Estela B.

Yelp
Decent pizza for after hiking. Nothing special. We had chicken bacon ranch and all meat. I think the All meat needed more meat it was like very sparse. Ordered a small salad with balsamic vinegar. Balsamic was meh. Mozzarella sticks were good. I would only come back if I was in town and nothing else to try. I wasn't a big fan of the pizza. The service was great.

Erin S.

Yelp
The pizza tasted like Pizza Hut pizza. Pizza was fine, but nothing special. We got the medium Veggie Pizza ($18.25, though the menu listed it for a dollar cheaper...inflation I guess). They were generous with the toppings. We subbed pineapple for the green pepper, and there was no extra cost. We finished the whole thing! Probably just really hungry after a day of hiking. Service was good. The inside is nice and feels new and clean. I recommend, but I also recommend having reasonable expectations. It's not the best pizza, but it's fine!

Maria Aimen J.

Yelp
How lucky are we to have more than one option around the Bryce Canyon National Park? This park definitely does not have much around it but it has slowly started getting more and more things and although it seems like this place was here before, we did not venture upon it until our most recent trip to Utah. As there are slim to none options for halal meat, we at least were able to find vegetarian pizza which was a much welcomed. Luckily we were able to find the pizza was absolutely delicious like some of the previously ones that we got in the Zion National Park a couple hours away. I ordered over the phone and my husband went to pick it up and bring it and he was telling me about how extremely busy it was inside and how there was quite a wait for tables. They forgot a couple of the things that I asked for like napkins and ranch, but I forgive them since they were busy and the food was warm and delicious.

Dexter D.

Yelp
We were on a two week road trip with friends and trying to mix-up our meals. Tonight was pizza night. Parking was a challenge. There parking in front of the restaurant were all filled up. We went around the corner. There are no sidewalks. Front yards transition to gravel and then to the roadway. We took our chances and parked in the gravel in front of someone's house. The car was still there when we returned. We were seated fairly quickly and then presented with menus and water. We decided to order salads and a large 1/2 & 1/2 pizza, Supreme and Hawaiian. The salads came quickly. We had asked for a couple of extra plates so we could share. Food was good, service was good. We'd come back again if in the area.

Jacob S.

Yelp
The pizzas weren't fancy but they were excellent. I ordered the 10" Hawaiian and wish I had ordered the 14". It did come out a bit cooler than I expected, but they were very busy for the number of employees that were working and it didn't affect the taste. The staff were all very nice and I overheard the waiter at the table next to me having a great conversation with the family. Facilities were clean. I did have to make a couple laps to find a parking spot out front. Worth a stop on the way to Bryce canyon.

Gwen R.

Yelp
After exploring Zion, we drove to Bryce Canyon area. After checking out Yelp, we decided pizza and salad sounded good. We all ordered a side salad, then we shared their famous cheese sticks and a meat lovers pizza with jalapeños. Everything was delicious! The pizza was light and the perfect ratio of crust to sauce to toppings. The young girl waiting our our table was attentive and overall fabulous. She had a wonderful sense of humor and great personality as well. We would definitely return to eat here again.

Thomas M.

Yelp
The best place to eat near Bryce in November. We stopped at three (closed) restaurants before stumbling upon this one and it should have been the first. Great pizza and a beer above 5% ABV #Sold.

Aarti P.

Yelp
If you're looking for a pizza oasis right outside of Bryce Canyon, look no further than Pizza Place! This hidden gem delivered an unforgettable dining experience that left my taste buds dancing! The outdoor dining setting was a dream come true. Picture this: sitting beneath a canopy of lights, surrounded by majestic red rock formations, as a gentle breeze rustles through the air. It's the stuff of postcard perfection, and Pizza Place made it a reality. Now, let's talk about the pizza. Oh my cheesy goodness! From the first bite to the very last, I knew I had stumbled upon pizza heaven. The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce bursting with flavor, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. I was left wanting more with every bite. The staff at Pizza Place deserves a standing ovation. They were warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. As a bonus, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the pizza. So, whether you're fueling up after a long day of exploring Bryce Canyon or simply seeking a pizza haven in Utah, make a beeline to Pizza Place. Your taste buds will thank you.

Bri N.

Yelp
Not too much to eat around here so this pizza place was a great find. Good service and the place is clean and cute. Pizza is pretty good too.

Bill T.

Yelp
This place hit the spot. We ordered out and got great service on the phone and at the counter. People were friendly inside and the place was clean and hopp'n inside. Bbq pizza - hit the spot. The Hawaiian pizza was loaded. We got breadsticks and a salad. Salad was fresh spring lettuce and veges. This was a hit with me crew. Highly recommend.

Jenna S.

Yelp
I'll start with the fact that the pizza, when it arrived, was quite good. However, we were "forgotten" about multiple times. No one came for 15 minutes to get our order. When we went to get someone they "forgot" we were there. They "forgot" our sodas. They never once checked in once we had food and were cold in general. One can't help but think it's the price of being visibly queer in rural Utah. While it wasn't empty, the place wasn't slammed, and they made time to check on other tables and some had food before we did even though they arrived later. This was not a pleasant experience, and no one else seemed to get the same treatment. I understand that your beliefs may be a certain way, but our money spends the same as anyone else's. Thankfully I will rarely be in the area anyway, but I'd gladly drive much farther for friendlier options that can remember we exist.

Matt B.

Yelp
5 Stars, all the food was amazing. If you get a chance eat here and the service was amazing

Trevor B.

Yelp
I ordered the Golden Spike - Hefeweizen beer. It comes in a can but they also provide a frosted mug, which is awesome! The beer was honestly one of the best Hefeweizens I have eve I also ordered the 14 inch pizza that was half of the BBQ chicken and half meat lovers. It was very tasty. My only critique is the BBQ pizza didn't have BBQ sauce on the first few bites, it was only near the middle and crust. The service was extremely friendly and prompt. The venue is clean and tidy with televisions.

Hayden F.

Yelp
Ate here two days in a row, pizza is delicious and hot. Chicken salad was very good as well. Service is a little slow but it's worth the wait and everyone is very nice.

Erik Z.

Yelp
What a place to go to the service was incredible and the food was even better my favorite part was the desserts, they have so many options from ice cream to milk shakes to exotic pastries all of them are great. A great place to take your family if you're in the area.

Yeung T.

Yelp
Great ambience, friendly service. We had wings, breadsticks and kid's pizzas. All was good. The best thing was the kid's meals come with a drink, fries and ice-cream for a great price. One of our favorite place in the area during our trip to visit Bryce Canyon NP.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Delicious pizza, dang good for being out by Bryce Canyon. Would go to this place again in a heartbeat!

Martin L.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night for some comfort food, pizza. Took a bit to get seated. Took a bit to get our order. Definitely not fast food. Pizza was really good though. Well worth the wait. Chicken bacon ranch was bursting w flavor. Crust was a bit bready and crisp. Supreme was also great. Fresh flavors. Kids cod was very crispy and wafflfries amazing.

Paul L.

Yelp
I had no expectations for Pizza Place. Good food in certain areas of Utah is a challenge. If I compared the pizza here to pizza I can typically get in most other parts of the country, this restaurant would get no stars. Much of my veggie pizza seems to have been pre-made -- the dough surely was -- and the highly colorful vegetables on the bed of way, way too white cheese made the pie look a lot like Brach's peppermint nougat Christmas candy. Normally, that would be the end of the review. However, I want to cut Pizza Place some slack. Yeah, it ain't perfect. My pizza could best be compared to one from a supermarket frozen food section. Here's the thing, though: after a half day of hiking up and down Bryce Canyon three times, I eagerly anticipated the leftover Pizza Place slices I had waiting in my cabin's little refrigerator. I have no regrets.

Sally A.

Yelp
Clean, nice atmosphere; delicious pizza and great service! We highly recommend this restaurant during your visit to Bryce Canyon!

Soutah G.

Yelp
As we saddled up for adventure this mornin, I was not expecting, nor had any inkling that i would be in for the delight today. My young sidekick was feelin a bit..... hungry..... after a day of nonstop adventures and excitement'. We rolled into the pizza place expecting.... Well, your typical small town pizza. What I was not expecting was the culinary delight that was better described as pizza of the gods... is there a pizza god? Like does Zeus have a little brother that delivers this mana to the mouths of mortals from his throne on Mount Olympus? Well if not then there should be and it should be made here.

Joanna C.

Yelp
Since a lot of food in Bryce Canyon City had low Yelp ratings, we decide to head over to Tropic to give the Pizza Place a try. We didn't know if they were open late since it was New Year's Eve but they were. So my sister and I went in and ordered. The food was done fast, the service was nice and the place was super clean looking. If we had stayed another day I would have made the trip to come back here. They have some kind of item that's on not officially on their menu but is on a piece of paper taped to the menu that sounded intriguing. It was fried artichokes stuffed with cheese. These were absolutely amazing and I wish I had gotten more than one order. As for the rest of the food, all of it was delicious. We got a large half chicken bacon ranch, half meat lovers, a Calzone, boneless and bone-in wings and cheese bread and everything was great! I wish I had taken pictures but it was all eaten very quickly as everyone was hungry after being at park all day.

Mari L.

Yelp
While visiting Bryce Canyon, we were craving pizza. There are not a lot of options in the area, but no need as this place is great!!! Pizza was really, really good! We also ordered the Pesto Pasta with chicken and sun dried tomatoes and also was good! Staff was welcoming and friendly! We are a little bit of picky eaters, but our server was very helpful and accommodating to our request. Food was really good and satisfied these picky eaters too! The place was filled with families and groups, so a very lively environment!

Lindsay C.

Yelp
Tropic is a small town -- about 4, maybe 5 restaurants. We'd read about The Pizza Place and, despite mixed reviews, decided to give it a try. It sounded like the perfect post-hike destination. (Heads up: they stop seating at 8,l!) We stopped in on a beautiful Thursday night and were disappointed to find the patio closed. We decided on take-out and to dine outdoors at our Airbnb instead. The host was lovely and prompt; she could not have been kinder or more attentive. We ordered a small house salad and a medium veggie pizza, and she told us it would be about 15 minutes, so we set out to unpack. 15 minutes later, we returned to find our pizza was ready and kept in a warming station (we loved this -- thanks for keeping it hot!) Once we dug into it, though, we found it was pretty average -- only slightly better than a frozen pizza. There were lots of veggies on top, but the ingredients and taste were very average. The salad wasn't anything to write home about either; just a really basic lettuce, carrots, and tomatoes in a styrofoam container (apparently styrofoam is still a thing in Utah -- awful). 5 stars for service, 3 for food, minus one star for a closed patio. We're grateful The Pizza Place was open, but the next night discovered an adorable patio with live music and a fire pit down the street at Showdown's. While the menu there also left a little bit to be desired, next time, I would send people there instead.

Dianna C.

Yelp
Calzone and Wings were delicious, decent price for 1 large pizza, 2 order of wings, and a calzone.,..kinda of far from our hotel, But definitely worth the drive.

Mike M.

Yelp
The pizza place was a perfect dinner spot for my family and I on our trip to Bryce Canyon. After a long day of hiking (and my carrying our kiddo) we were craving some carbs and decided to try the pizza place. Pulling up and seeing the outside, I was expecting the typical 1980's pizza parlor motif; black vinyl seats, old carpet, checkerboard table cloth, carpeted floor, and borderline dirty. Stepping inside I was surprised to find a well lit restaurant with good lighting and plenty of natural light. More striking however was just how clean the restaurant was. I don't know if it's the owner, the manager, the employees or all of the above, but someone really cares about the cleanliness of the restaurant. I personally witnessed the hostess clean AND sanitize every table within a minute of the parties leaving. In fact, we decided to switch from a table to a booth as a party was standing up and were in the booth within 45 seconds, albeit slightly wet. It's an odd thing to highlight but the cleanliness was notable. The service was really great as well, it took between 15 minutes to sit down, put in our order and get our food which included a large pepperoni pizza, garlic bread, and a salad. We did notice it slowed down a little as the restaurant got full, but it was very fast for us. The food itself was solid. It was definitely good pizza, we had some leftovers and ate it the next day, and it was actually even better then. That said, it wasn't necessarily to a point that I'll be craving unless I'm headed to Bryce Canyon. It was for sure the best pizza I've had in some time living in Utah.

Carla R.

Yelp
Pizza was delicious, crust just right. I thought I can ask for thin crust but there was just one option, it doesn't matter because their crust was just perfect! The caprese salad was good too. They did not skimp on the fresh mozzarella. Service was fast! We were the first customers. The restrooms were clean which is always a plus!

Jeff B.

Yelp
food was mediocre at best. Our waiter barely spoke english and only asked one person in our party what they wanted for food and then left. When he came back he said he thought we were going to share the 10 inch pizza between the 4 of us. My order was messed up 3 times so i opted to give up and eat somewhere else. Another customer ate his food and left without paying. Very quiet and nice views though. Host and waitress to table next to us were very kind.
