The Place of a Thousand Drips

The captivating Place of a Thousand Drips is found at the end of The Roaring Forks Motor tour. It was a fitting finale to our Smoky Mountains escapade, we were here in fall, the leaves were changing colors, looking absolutely gorgeous. We were lucky enough to see water running down the wall in several places, I would imagine spring would bring more little falls out. Be aware tho the road is a one way road and very narrow. Call ahead first day we attempted the road was closed for an accident.

Make sure you get your parking pass if you plan on parking for more than 15mins. Did not see any places to get a parking pass anywhere on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. We had to go to the visitor center and drive back since we wanted to do some hiking. No tickets to buy, just the parking pass you should buy in advance.

Absolutely beautiful. Worth the time to walk up to Grotto Falls and as you drive back down it’s just gorgeous all the way down the mountain

The place is located on a motor trail. It's a little bit scary to drive here on the one lane road along the mountains with a cliff on the other side. But it's a beautiful road. We were here for a long weekend Thanksgiving, and the most trees lost their lives. Still, it was stunning views. We saw the family of bears: mother and two cubs. So, be mindful. Bears are not only on the pictures or decorations. They definitely exist.

We really enjoyed this stop at the end of the Roaring Fork Motor Trail; it was neat to see many mini waterfalls coming down the mountain into a small pool, very unique. The leaves really added great features.

Nice little falls right off the side of the road. Only a small 3 car pull off to get pics though, so if you want to get out to visit, HIGHLY encourage you to go right at dawn. Same for any trails on the loop. Limited parking and fills very quickly.

Roaring Fork road hasany a gem. This hour long journey worth every minute to enjoy fall scene-scapes. It is a one way road landing to a private mill with shop and facilities. The waterfall is a brief viewing from a pull off all of a few feet from the road. It is water flow dependent for its grandeur. It is among many tranquil findinga on the trail road.

Beautiful place to visit. Roaring fork motor trail, you'll find fantastic views of waterfalls and streams. Very picturesque place to go to. Many trails to discover and wildlife to.
