The Place Taipei

This hotel is a great choice for travelers planning to visit Jiufen or Keelung, and there are large shopping malls nearby as well. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. Personally, I feel it’s much more relaxing compared to staying around Taipei Main Station, while still being conveniently close to Taipei. Nangang has HSR, TRA, and MRT connections, so getting around is very convenient. The standard rooms are small but well-designed and very clean. The hotel staff may not be extremely enthusiastic, but they are always polite and professional. Breakfast doesn’t offer a huge variety, but it’s sufficient and the menu changes daily. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

THE HOTEL LOBBY IS ON THE 10TH FLOOR. When I was first dropped off by the taxi, I could not see the reception desk, so I panicked a little bit. I thought I had arrived at a mattress shop. Other than the initial confusion, it was a great hotel to stay in. The rooms are modern and clean. Everything was in working order. Breakfast was ample. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Also, many thanks to the housekeeper who folded our clothes for us. This was very kind and not expected. Thank you. Tip for other travellers, if the Uber app does not work, try using the Bolt rideshare app.

The Place Taipei is a 3 to 4 star rating hotel in the city centre of Taipei. Good ambience, clean, walking distance to Metro train line, Lala Port shopping centre, next door to a fast food and small grocery store. The staff are polite and accomodating, the included breakfast have reasonable food selection. An excellent hotel for budget minded traveler. (Provided by Trip a Deal).

Stayed at the hotel one night, family friendly. The hotel supplied us a baby bed, bottle steam steriliser and bath. Which was amazing and useful. The room was clean and spacious. Good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

The comfortable interiors and kind staff provided the optimal environment, allowing me to fully concentrate on my business schedule during my stay at this hotel. If I attend the annual ITF event again next year, I would certainly choose this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area for business. Thank you.

Fairly clean mid-range hotel. The sound proofing was very nice, even though the door to the hallway was still lacking in this feature; people in the hallways sound very loud. Bit surprised by how bad the proficiency in english is among staff, considering this does seem like a hotel that would target people on business trips. Staff itself was quite nice however. Breakfast was also nice if not a little inconsistent. For pasta: don't close the lid in the steam tray. As the name suggests, you just continue to steam the pasta, which causes it to be overcooked.

Ridiculously long waiting time during checkout… There are 3 lifts but only 2 are operating, and each lift is so small that only few people could fit inside. Since the checkout time of 11:00, me and my wife have been standing there and waiting for 40+ mins for the lift to go downstairs for the checkout process……
