Visited The Place Touche.
The Sizzler after nearly 7 years, hoping to relive some good memories on my wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience was largely disappointing.
Pros:
The Mushroom Crispy starter was genuinely good, crisp, flavorful, and enjoyable.
The lemon soda was refreshing and well made.
The person attending to us was warm, polite, and friendly, which is the only reason this place still gets one stars.
Cons (and there are many):
The sizzlers have completely lost their touch. What was once the highlight of this place is now its biggest letdown.
The quality of the sizzler was horrible and nowhere close to what it used to be.
The soya garlic sauce was overpowering, to the point that it was difficult to eat and masked every other flavor.
The rice quantity was excessive, while the vegetables were disappointingly less — a very poor balance.
Chicken pieces were bare minimum, almost symbolic rather than substantial.
Overall, the sizzler felt cheaply put together, lacking both taste and thought.
At a price point of ₹650 and above per sizzler, this is absolutely not worth the money anymore.
We were 3 adults and 1 child and ordered:
2 sizzlers (shared)
2 Mushroom Crispy
3 lemon sodas
1 whiskey
3 caramel custurd & 1 icecream
The final bill came to a staggering ₹4000, which is blatantly overpriced for the quality of food served. This kind of pricing demands consistency, quality, and value, none of which were delivered.
We specifically chose this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary, expecting nostalgia and good food. Sadly, instead of memories, we walked away with disappointment.
Final Verdict:
The Place Touche is surviving on its past reputation. If you’re visiting for sizzlers expecting the old taste and experience you’ll be let down. Unless major improvements are made in food quality and portion balance, this place no longer justifies its price or hype.
