As Adelaide people we returned home for a family xmas 🎄2025/26. We have stayed with the Playford hotel before several times as Accor Members. 👍 The Hotel has remained in top standard , quality & charm. From check in , very late at night to check out. ✈️ The staff are most Courteous, and helpful nothing was too much trouble from ice buckets, herbal teas and chocolates on our bed each day . The room was spacious and well appointed. Extra pillows and bath robes. The A C was climate controlled and the room was so cool & quiet with the block out curtains. 😴 We highly recommend this beautiful Art Deco Hotel, location, parking , restaurant & Bar. Once again we congratulate you on your continuing service and effort. See you soon . 5 Stars 🌟 🙏

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcomed and incredibly well looked after. The service was nothing short of outstanding, warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. To our surprise and delight, we were generously upgraded, which completely elevated our stay. The room was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful details that made it feel luxurious without being pretentious. Every interaction with the staff was a highlight. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and it was clear they genuinely cared about ensuring we had the best possible experience. It’s rare to feel so well looked after while still being given space to relax and enjoy your stay. This is the kind of place that sets the standard for hospitality. We left feeling refreshed, valued, and already planning our return. Highly, highly recommended — an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

We stayed for 6 nights. The location was central to the city centre making it convenient to drive and explore the Adelaide Hills, Barossa and McLaren Vale regions. The King room was comfortable and the restaurant had a great fine dining experience. We were provided an upgrade but did not like the upgraded room (you had to go up the stairs to the bedroom whilst the sitting area and bathroom was downstairs) so asked to be moved to a standard king room where all the facilities were on one level. Staff were attentive and helpful during our stay.

The Playford Hotel is a beautiful, well-maintained property that truly delivers a luxury experience. The rooms are ultra-luxurious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making the stay feel special from start to finish. The sauna and pool facilities were excellent and added to the overall experience. What really stood out, though, was the front desk service. Reece was exceptional — incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely great at making conversation. He is a shining star and a real asset to the hotel. Overall, this hotel clearly benefits from strong management and attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined, luxury stay.

The Playford Hotel is a pleasant place to stay, and the loft room is quite unique. The hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. However, it falls short of what I would consider a true five-star experience. While everything was good, nothing really stood out or felt exceptional, and unfortunately our only windows simply faced an alley way. I would like to see more offered for suite guests, such as a complimentary minibar, breakfast, or the introduction of an exclusive club experience similar to those found at Sofitel and other five-star hotels. Overall, while the stay was enjoyable, there was nothing compelling enough to encourage a return visit.

Beautiful hotel in a really convenient location in the city. Amazing customer service from all the staff. I loved the facilities: the gym, sauna, and pool were so lovely to use. I booked a room with a spa and it was so relaxing. Staying at the Playford Hotel was the most relaxing thing I've done all year. Thank you for an amazing stay. If you are a mum of 4 and have not had a night away from the kids in 8 years and it's your birthday: this is the hotel you should book for yourself.

My parents stayed there for their 50th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. They stayed in the North Terrace Junior Suite and had a ball. The rooms are beautiful, bath huge, lovely lounge area as well. They were treated so well by all staff and thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast also. We have stayed here numerous times over the years and we absolutely love it. It is the hotel of choice for Adelaide- every time!! Thanks again for making their stay so special!

Had a great stay at The Playford. The room is nicely furnished and clean. Plenty of space and quiet. Customer and room service are very professional. Manage to accidentally left my keycard inside my room on one occasion and staff is quick to help. Location is perfect close to transport, plenty of restaurants nearby and Rundle Mall. No hesitation to stay here again.
