Amazing stay! I can't wait to return to stay at the Plaza again. I was very impressed with customer service, from the first to the last moment of my 4 night stay. Every single staff I encountered --from the front desk, the bell service attendants, the spa helpers --were so kind and helpful. And the maid-service was amazing too. They really made my stay special. The rooms are a little dated but I think the price reflects that so it's a good value for the fantastic location, all the amenities and the 5-star service. I appreciated the little touches like yummy gourmet teas and free water bottles that were replenished each day. I'm definitely staying at the Plaza again when I visit Seoul next time.

Dear Plaza Hotel Seoul Team,||I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful staff at The Plaza Seoul for making our family stay from 22 December to 31 December such a memorable and pleasant experience.||We stayed at the hotel for a year-end holiday and to celebrate our daughter’s 8th birthday, and from the very beginning until the end of our stay, the service we received was exceptional.||I would especially like to recognize J-Yul, one of your bell staff, who consistently went above and beyond to assist us. He brought such positive energy every day and was always eager to help. We offered him tips on several occasions, but he kindly declined, saying that helping guests was simply part of his job and that he was happy to do so. His attitude truly reflects the spirit of hospitality.||Another very special mention goes to Laura Kang from customer service. I spoke with her several evenings, and she made our daughter’s birthday incredibly special. The handwritten note, thoughtful handmade hat, and birthday cake were such personal and touching gestures. She truly went the extra mile to make our daughter feel celebrated and happy, something our family will never forget.||I would also like to thank Concierge Lin Lee, who was extremely helpful when we encountered booking issues. She handled everything efficiently and also assisted us with arranging transportation, which made things much easier for our family.||While the hotel may not be the newest, the people and the level of service are absolutely second to none. That said, I would like to share some honest feedback: housekeeping consistency varied depending on the staff member. However, on certain days, the housekeeping was exceptionally meticulous and impressive. Small details—such as thoughtfully arranging my skincare items and placing a towel underneath to keep them dry—made a big difference and brought big smiles. These thoughtful touches truly stood out.||Overall, our experience at The Plaza Seoul was outstanding, and it is because of the people who work there. Thank you for creating such a warm, welcoming, and memorable stay for our family. We look forward to returning in the future.

We had a wonderful trip the hotel was fabulous facilities were great staff was exceptional. The only downside was it the room was unbearably hot each night. We kept the windows open and they actually brought us a fan but apparently they turn off the air conditioning at this time of year so there is no option for air conditioning

Had a wonderful stay for the first time at The Plaza Seoul in mid-November. A top notch property right in the heart of the city with easy assess to public transport and within walking distance to a lot key shopping areas. Whilst I did not receive any room upgrades during my 2 night stay as a Titanium member, the team at the hotel made me feel welcome and right at home as if I am frequent guest at the hotel. Hospitable and Professional from the moment you step foot into the hotel, this was a brilliant experience. A special mention to Callum, part of the team at the Executive Lounge. Your friendliness and professionalism really made my stay memorable. Hope to be back soon!

A lovely property next to the subway station and across from the Palace. Wonderful room, excellent food, good staff. Would stay here again just for these reasons.||||But here's the kicker. We are fitness enthusiasts and would have found it hard to imagine a better facility than the one we belong to at home, but boy did the Plaza Seoul's fitness facility deliver the Wow factor. Four levels nicely organized, equipped, and clean, with dedicated areas for different types of exercise from cardio to swimming to stretching, even golf practice areas. The changing rooms offered freshly laundered exercise clothes (including socks!), lockers with ample storage, col/hot/really hot whirlpools, steam rooms, dry saunas, and showers. Plenty of room to get dressed and primped, with provided amenities and large mirrors with individually equipped sections. Truly amazing.||||The lobby smelled so good we had to purchase the signature essential oils to enjoy at home.

I’m leaving this review because families traveling with children should be aware of the hotel’s lounge policy. Although the staff did inform us of the restriction, I think the policy itself is both unfair and poorly aligned with what a “family-friendly” hotel claims to offer. I was traveling with my 11-year-old daughter. She is well-behaved and polite, and she is a registered guest like anyone else. Yet the hotel’s rules prohibit children from entering the lounge under any circumstances — even when accompanied by a parent. The issue isn’t simply that my daughter couldn’t join me; it’s that the policy also prevented me from using the lounge at all, because I will not leave her alone in the room. That means that as a paying guest — and in my case, a Marriott loyalist — I effectively did not have access to a benefit that was part of the value of the stay. From a parent’s perspective, this policy makes no sense: • Children are not second-tier guests • A parent shouldn’t have to choose between their child’s safety and the amenities they paid for • There are reasonable compromises (designated family hours or a cordoned section) that many other hotels implement Instead, the hotel has chosen the most restrictive version possible — one that unintentionally penalizes parents and removes benefits they paid for simply because they have children with them. I understand the goal of maintaining a quiet space for business travelers, but the current policy goes much too far, especially in a brand that markets itself as family-friendly. Families are not asking for special treatment — just fair access to the amenities we’ve purchased. Until this policy changes, I wouldn’t recommend this property to travelers with children. There are many other Marriott hotels that have struck a better balance between quiet spaces and family accommodation without excluding guests who happen to be parents.

As a titanium member of Bonvoy, I have stayed at many hotels over the years and normally receive small welcome items such as fruit, chocolates, or a welcome card. However, l booked this hotel by four rooms with two suites with paid (not free upgrade, l booked in advanced) On this occasion there was nothing — no welcome gift and no welcome card. I believe this is the first time this has happened to me.||Before arrival I sent several emails with the hotel to request the best possible arrangements for our stay, but those requests were not fulfilled. During the first few days at the hotel I spent a lot of time discussing and resolving basic arrangements with staff, including buffet timings, room allocations, and access to the executive lounge. This was stressful and not what I expected given the pre-arrival communications.||Most importantly, this stay was intended to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, which was why I chose this hotel. On the birthday itself the hotel had not prepared any gift, decorations, or even a simple birthday card. I was surprised and disappointed that the hotel did not offer any small gesture for a child’s birthday. And this is also a Christmas Day We were a party of 12, including elderly relatives and children; there was not even a small chocolate or Christmas gift for guests. Curiously, I observed staff presenting gifts (including the hotel plush mascot) to other guests, while I had to purchase the hotel plush myself as a three-piece set. This inconsistent treatment felt very unthoughtful.

High quality hotel. Stayed here during our trip to Seoul and everything was perfect. The room, the view, the cleanliness and the help from the staff. It's also really well located, walking distance to most things or a subway that is right outside the door. They also have concierge that can help you with different plans for your visit.
