I love food carts and given the opportunity, I'm always going to check them out. I'm a pretty adventurous eater and the food cart scene fills the gap in our town of great restaurants, but a little short on variety.
The Podski is the latest food cart pod, six carts, plus a beer hut. The carts offered a pretty great variety of options. We tried two of the six carts, (one was closed) and thought the food was decent, some better than others. I was a little disappointed that there are only 6 beers on tap and there was only one local brewery represented. That said, it was a Worthy IRA, so thumbs up for that one. They also offer wine, beer in cans and I'm guessing Kombucha (although Kombucha is never on my radar).
Seating is casual, shared picnic tables. There is some sort of sun shade over the area. I'm not a huge fan of this style of seating, I'm six feet tall and it's a long drop to the bench. I did like the vibe, great combination of locals, out of towners, lots of kids and a couple of dogs - great by me.
I was concerned that parking would be a problem, but not the case. They have a little lot and were found a spot right away on the street.
While I'm a fan, I'm not going out of my way to stop by here again.
