The Poets Inn

The location of this hostel is right in the heart of everything. Literally a 1 min walk from the Torre dos Clérigos. It is at the top of the hill and very clean and comfortable with big rooms. The bathroom was separate from the shower and it was super clean. There are only 1-3 rooms max on.each floor. Would def stay here again.

Lovely place to stay, well situated, comfortable, charming, clean, and we didn’t even have to talk to anyone to check in! They sent us instructions to check in and it was easy, seamless, and interaction-free. The balcony in our room was the icing on the cake. We really enjoyed our stay here. I’m not sure what dampness the other commenter was talking about, there is no smell and it is very clean, as of 2025. Porto itself is a very damp city, so props to the staff for keeping the inn clean and dry. It’s a short, mostly straight walk from the closest metro station, which makes it really easy to access from the airport. The only thing that makes this a 4 instead of 5 star review, is that everything is falling apart. I went to hang my coat up, and the hanger fell into three pieces. I sat on the desk chair in the room, and realized one of the legs was moments away from falling off. My fiancé pulled on a door handle, and one of the screws fell out onto the floor. I opened the curtains in the room, and the curtain rod fell off. We are pretty gentle people, it’s not like we were yanking on stuff or banging it around, but it seemed like everything we touched just…fell apart. Otherwise, everything about this place is fantastic and I would totally recommend it!!

A very charming place with a great atmosphere. Very poetic decor. Great location. A balcony overlooking the street, pubs nearby. I highly recommend.

Thank You Giulia and Francisca. They were very friendly and helpful. They were also very flexible with my needs... If given the chance, I will stay in this place again. Though, the reception may not always be available...they provided an alternative contact number to reach out to them.

Service is nonexistent after 1230, they didn't reply for the entire afternoon and night when I had an emergency The wooden floors are super loud and very disruptive whenever someone climbs up. Also, that makes the room very cold if you don't use air conditioning Otherwise it's nice

This is a gem, the place is near everything! We loved our stay and decided to stay another night in Oporto. Excellent service, perfect customer service and so clean!!

The perfect spot for our first night in Porto. Easy access from Porto Airport via taxi or Uber and located near the Torre dos Clérigos. The perfect landmark if you want to walk around the city and need a landmark to get back to the Inn. The upstairs Suite has a small balcony and widows that open to a stunning view of downtown. Again, perfect for a first night. A clean room, tasty breakfast, great value and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

The Poets Inn was perfect for what I needed. Great Location. The service was excellent.
