Small grill on Washington Island. We arrived for lunch after few trekking under the sun looking for somewhere to get some energy back.
It was Sunday of the 4 Jul weekend and tons of people were looking for the same there throughout the whole island (this was the second restaurant we queued in after a 25 minute wait at another place and already sick of lones not moving). We waited in line for about 10 minutes to place our order and provided with a number. About 20 minutes later a different order came to the table, however we did not realize right away, so we started eating it. We then realized that our order was misplaced and inquired to learn more. The owner of the place showed up and in few minutes, straightened things up with great customer care and being supportive of the situation. We understood that it is unusual for a small place like this to maintain a steady rithm during such a busy day, however it was clear that everyone was doing their best, smiling and keeping ul with orders as much as they could. We got offered some of the chef's special fried cheese for the day and that was greatly appreciated.
The place was also offering a couple of vegan option in the menu that makes the place more accessible to everyone.
The selection of meat is wide and the prices are accessible.
