The Poke Box

This has been my regular go to spot for poke for a long time. They give big portions and have fresh ingredients. I think it's great value.

Delicious. Fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. Had the low carb one with zoodles and it was awesome. Especially loved the egg.

I highly recommend the Lava Blaze bowl at Poke Box (700 University Ave, Toronto)! 🔥🍣 Everything was top-notch — from the super fresh ingredients to the perfectly balanced spicy kick. The Lava Blaze is full of flavor, with just enough heat to make it exciting without being too much. The toppings added amazing texture, and the portion was very generous. What made the experience even better was the lovely girl who made my bowl — she was so kind, attentive, and genuinely sweet. 🩷 It’s always a bonus when the service is as great as the food! Can’t wait to go back. A real gem in the heart of the city!

Easily accessible through the Queen’s Park TTC station, this spot is a great option for both lunch and dinner. They offer plenty of preset options as well as build your own for around $15-20 per bowl depending on the size you get and your toppings. The regular option was already a great portion. My favourite preset option is the original poke box with both salmon and ahi tuna. I just wish the dining area was a bit nicer.

My favorite place to grab a lunch poke bowl, the lava blaze was amazing! The portions are large, good enough for two people or two meals. It’s mostly take out. You can order ahead online.

Haven’t poke in so long, so I’m glad I found this place! Got their Big Umami bowl with sushi rice base in regular size for $15.30, and I’m impressed! Really enjoyed the filling meal, and all the ingredients were super fresh! The only thing is that some of the rice was a bit clumped together, so maybe I’ll get a different base next time.

Really fresh and tasty poke bowls - I eat a lot of poke but this is definitely one of the best I've had in downtown Toronto. They are very generous with the fish and toppings and I love how they don't marinate the fish so you can really taste how fresh it is. Their signature bowls like Big Umami or The Poke Box are fantastic, highly recommend!
