When I arrived it was obvious the pub had had a recent makeover and was very fresh. Went inside and booked in easily and was shown to my room. On the way through we passed through the restaurant which was twice the size of the pub and came as a big surprise with a great view over the fields. Anyway, I put my stuff in the room and went down for dinner. The menu, though not big, had quite a few things on that I was happy with so ordered the Steak and Ale pie. 20 mins later and I was indulging in the best pie I've ever had in any pub. Meal finished, I went back to the bar which was now quite lively with locals and holiday makers alike.
Slept well and down for my full English breakfast. Again very well presented and full of flavour. Win Win all round and at £72 at the height of the season, you'd be mad to think any different. Definitely recommend.
