Warm and friendly family run restaurant serving traditional European dishes. The atmosphere is clean and stylish with elegant low lighting and plenty of space. The staff are absolutely amazing - their son and daughter were working that evening and were so attentive, charming, professional and quick. The food was quite good, perhaps a little pricey for the style and scale but well executed. My fish was a little overdone as hot vegetables came served on top of it which kept it cooking past the perfection it no-doubt left the pan in. Very tricky with a thin and delicate white fleshed fish. The chef was very kind to carefully consider allergies and alter the dishes.

I went here for my birthday a couple weeks ago and had the best service and even better food! everything about this place was amazing & I will definitely be coming back! Shout out Hugo & the rest of the team that was on the night absolutely loved!

I wasn’t expecting much when I walker in, just another Ponsonby place - but I was wrong. The space felt calm, unforced. And the service completely changed the night. Archie was warm, effortless, and genuinely attentive without ever hovering. It’s rare to feel that looked after without it feeling like a performance. Because of them, I felt genuinely attended to, and I started to imagine taking myself back, with friends, family, and definitely someone I’m trying to impress! The attention to detail stood out. It wasn’t just service, it was genuine care and great service. That’s what made the night feel special and separated from the mess of other start-up restaurants. I am endlessly grateful for my service tonight and I hope that my waitress gets the praise she deserves in the teams Thank you.

Recently opened restaurant in Ponsonby, been twice now to try it out — once for dinner and once just for drinks — and both times have been fantastic. Delicious food, great drinks, well thought-out refit, friendly and genuinely welcoming staff. Looking forward to many more visits and hoping this becomes my new favourite place. Recommended.

Simply the best time had at Gigi, best service, delicious food, the cocktails are to live for and the atmosphere is just perfect! Thank you for bringing a place like this back to Ponsonby Road. 💕👌🎉

LOVED it. Luke just knows what he's doing. Delicious.Tasty food. Such an appealing menu. Loved the crispy cauliflower tuna tartare divine fabulous calamari awesome steak. Staff lovely so helpful and charming. Archie is a treasure. We will be back, often.

Welcomed by the owner at the door and served quick smart we had a fabulous experience .Great atmosphere. We did not want to leave. The food was divine. Highly recommend the slow cooked lamb. and roasted potatoes.
