Staying at the Pendry so went to check out the pool. Came here on a Wednesday at noon, not very busy. But I heard on Sunday afternoons, this place is an absolute party. Anyways found my pool chair. I tried to ordered an Estrella Jalisco on draft but they didn't have it. I ended up going with a Shock Top. Nice and refreshing by the pool. The server was nice and overall solid experience.

I really liked the ambiance of the rooftop pool! It was relaxing to come during the week when it was not crowded. I liked the music in the background. I ordered a quesadilla and was highly disappointed that the cheese was not melted. It sucks especially since it was $30 total (I added shrimp for $12). So, I did not think the food was good. I like the drinks. Service was decent, started well then tapered off though I would have ordered another cocktail if they came by.

I just visited the rooftop pool today and it was an amazing experience. We ordered the Mediterranean Appetizer Plate and the Lobster Roll w/fries…everything was delicious! The ambience is very chic and trendy. The drinks were also very good. I think the best element of it all was the service. The staff is very professional, courteous, and catering. This place does an amazing job of hiring the right people…special shoutout to Kaden who provided great service and we also had an amazing lady with short black hair as our waitress but I didn’t get her name. I will definitely be back!

Where to even begin… we always stay at the pendry and always hung out at the pool house! I decided to have my bfs birthday weekend in San Diego. So I went ahead and booked a cabana. Mike helped set up everything and did amazing . Zack had took care of us since walking in along with our server/hostess Jennie. Both were very attentive and overall great customer service. Jennie even helped me pick out what to say on the marquee sign for one of the rounds of bottles we had brought out. The dj, the vibes, a packed pool house with all our friends, it was a weekend we won’t forget. The food was delicious and the mixed drinks we ordered on top of the bottles and mixers was great. I recommend getting a pitcher! Safe to say we will definitely be back! 10/10 for everything.

Came here for a Happy Hour a few months ago. The scene is great, the layout and ambiance as well. However, the wait for the food was outrageous. We waited an hour to get a lobster roll and some sashimi and oysters. Everyone was nice and apologetic, but it was still irritating to wait so long nonetheless. The food, once we did get it, was quite good. I especially liked the sashimi and lobster roll. I'm sure we'll come back again, but probably after the summer rush, when the kitchen flow can be more manageable.

Google
My team and I chose this place for a lunch bite since we work off G Street. I’m so glad we did! I had the poke bowl with a side of chips. I also tried some of the fries off my friend’s plate -crispy and delicious btw. Highly recommend the poke bowl, it was fresh. Although I don’t eat chicken, the buffalo wrap my coworkers got looked delicious.

Google
Crazy Beautiful Pool spot with a fun Beautiful, and helpful staff! This pool has a cool beach club type vibe, with delicious drinks and cocktails and food. Gonna book a room at the Pendry next time I’m in SD just because of the atmosphere and experience here at The Pool House.

Google
Came here for a nice, light happy hour and we got what we wanted! They were very accommodating to our one-year-old daughter and got her a high chair from a different restaurant. We were very pleased! The fish tacos were great, and I enjoyed my wine. Beautiful location, no cigarette smoke, and a perfect place to dine in the sun. Service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
Went to an event and not impressed!!! Initially went to check in with "front desk" and the gal had no idea of the event. I'd say a leadership miss of advising staff of day's events - especially when 100 are expected throughout the course of a few hours. I'm sure the hosts preordered but no food brought out first half hour and menu seemed to be limited as is. We had to request plates for the appetizers - feel like that should be Service 101. Food was tasty but as an attendee, I have no idea how much things cost to see if worth the value. Felt like Staff was meant to be eye candy with their limited experience and knowledge so doubt cabana fee and cost of food & drink offset for lack of professionalism

Yelp
Super fun place to chill with your friends. My gfs and I landed and changed, dropped off our luggage since we couldn't check in until 4pm and head here instead to kill some time. It was such a nice experience. The staff were very kind and attentive. Food was okay. The chips and guac was good and we also had a Caesar salad wrap which was good as well. A bit pricey however it worked out for my girls and I. We reserved online, paid a reservation hold fee and that fee went towards food and beverages.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing place to stop and grab a bite to eat during the convention. Quiet laid back atmosphere with good food and (what looks like to me) a full bar. Sat at the bar and was served very quickly and efficiently with awesome friendly smile. It is a little pricey, but completely worth it to escape comic-con crowds and buy yourself a little respite.
google avatar

Brenda B.

Yelp
Menu wasn't very intriguing, pretty basic. I was expecting more honestly. Also, I was waiting to get approached at the table but no one did, I had to stand up and ask one of the girls for a menu, after reading over it, I decided not to get any food. By the time I decided no one had acknowledged me. I mainly went for vibes and pool, but the pool is on the smaller size compared to the area. There's alot of seating but it's "reserved" not sure if it truly is or they just put it on there for potential paid guests. Also, there were at least 7 kids in the pool, which killed any vibe and made me feel like I was on vacation with the whole extended family. The pool looked cloudy also. So to sum up, maybe have an even or time frame where only adults can hang etc. also maybe open up more seating not just paid seating, and maybe have the girls at the bar area be more socially aware.

Yelp
This is our second time as a group and it's always a fun time during their summer Sundays. The food is overpriced, but make sense for a nice hotel in downtown at the pool. The lobster roll was small, but good. The drinks were tasty and everyone else said they enjoyed their food. One of our servers was very rude and treated us poorly which was unfortunate. We had another server that treated us much better. I would still go back-- always a fun time!! Parking: downtown street parking or valet parking. Don't forget to get on the guest list!

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday at the pool house. Boris organized with me very well, communicated greatly and made sure we were happy up until we got there. Boris was great! We booked a cabana for a $1000 minimum. We were told it fit 15 people but it was pretty small. The service in the cabana was not great. They rarely came around to check on us. It was hard to flag them down, I even tried to order at the bar but they told me I have to wait for my server. The service charge is 25% so they got a pretty good tip for bare minimum service. The food was pretty standard, we liked the buffalo chicken wrap. My friends went to the bar to order food on a separate tab but they didn't allow them to come back to the cabana to eat it. The atmosphere was nice in terms of decor, but there is only one small pool and it's very crowded. Keep in mind they also had children at the pool. The atmosphere was interesting because it was a mix of older men (one of which harassed my friend) and younger women, then families. Music was decent, we requested some songs and the DJ tried his best to accommodate. He ended up playing a mixed version of similar songs we requested. Overall i'd give this place a 2/5, Boris did the best job at communicating I just think the service there was bad for what you're paying. Wouldn't recommend it and won't be back.

Yelp
Went here for my friends birthday party. It gives Vegas pool party vibes on the weekend. Very crowded but could have been due to a festival that weekend in SD. They had a live DJ which was very fun. It would be nice if they had some room to dance. It was a bit cramped with tables by the DJ. The servers were extremely helpful and friendly. The drinks were good. Great place to host a celebration.

Yelp
My colleagues and I arrived at the hotel and decided to hang at the pool. Dinner wasn't anytime soon so we decided to something to eat. Fish Tacos (Baja Style) - fish was crispy and tender on the inside. The toppings were fresh and seasoned perfectly. The tortillas on side were perfect for catching the toppings the dropped. Smoked Turkey Club Sandwich - chicken was seasoned and delicious. The fries were so yummy. The seasoning reminded me of bbq chips. Avocado Toast - perfect for the person that's not looking for anything heavy. The drinks were also good.

Yelp
This review is mostly for the misleading ad on Eventbrite where they advertise as Lounge and Lunch and as a free event. I was supposed to meet with a girlfriend there for lunch and enjoy the pool. After waiting for a while my friend had an emergency and could not make it so I ended up leaving. Why? Usually I am not shy doing things alone but don't want to pay $30 for using the pool when the ticket says free event. So apparently the only free thing is that you are allowed and escorted to take the elevator to this rooftop. Initially I was confused about how to get there so I asked at the Pendry and the guys were kind of dry in the communication. Then I felt weird being escorted to the rooftop, common is not that grandiose (guy who helped me was super nice). I did not like to know that I actually could not use any lounge, just the tables at the restaurant. Took a peek at the menu and was not interested in being there plus as compared to the Hard Rock rooftop the views and vibes are lacking here. I guess I will go to some party at night and see the atmosphere in a different context but please do not mislead ladies in the Eventbrite posts.

Yelp
I usually love coming here in general and for the music on Sundays. A few weeks ago, I signed up for a lounge & lunch with my friend. There was a guest list on Discotech we went through. We both took work off to come. Unfortunately my friend and I did have issues with this experience. I was excited to come here on Friday as booked online. My friend and I were told by the girl downstairs (checked our ID) that we were in the right spot and the visit was complimentary and we could get a chair at the pool. When we got upstairs, another worker had told us that we would each need to provide a $50 minimum to be sat at the chairs poolside. Both my friend and I were willing to spend this much each to stay and lounge as expected/advertised. We were told to please find a couple poolchairs and they would be over to take the order soon. We found two chairs and were given a menu to look over. A few minutes after settling in, the manager came over and said actually we can't get poolchairs, that the guest list is only for M-Thursday. But we could sit at the bar area only today. I wish this was communicated better on the booking before we spent money to drive and park here. Anyways we sat at the bar for a bit before we decided to leave. I wish just for this day there was more understanding especially since we were willing to drop $100 total. And there were poolchairs open.

Yelp
Such a fun experience going to The Pool House now that the weather has warmed up. There's nothing better than laying by the pool and enjoying their amazing cocktails and light bites. Everyone there was super nice and accommodating and it was such good vibes all around. Who needs the Vegas pool parties when you got The Pool House right in your backyard.

Yelp
The vibes here are a perfect 10/10 - with poolside seating, cabanas and tables by the bar. Located at an entrance to the left of the hotel, you are escorted in an elevator to the rooftop pool. Service is really outstanding. During our meal, we met several waiters and bartenders, all of whom were helpful and attentive. I'd be happy working there too as it it's such a fun ambiance. The drinks and food that we got were really good. Get the Wet sand cocktail - you'll be happy you did. They also have bottle archive available. It's a small menu food but with some really great options. Our fish tacos were really good - with lots of fresh guacamole on top. The açaí bowl was fresh with plenty of fresh fruit.

Yelp
Honestly didn't expect much from the food. The place itself is super cute and the staff is friendly! We got a daybed with $150 min, so got a pitcher and a few food items - everything was so good!! Highly recommend eating here if you're staying at the hotel! IG: yehjesseats

Yelp
Service was good until they told me to leave. Would have been nice if I was able to grab my shoes or phone from my friend. The guy ordered me an uber with absolutely nothing and told me I wasn't able to grab any of my stuff. Thank god the uber was ordered to the right place or it could have been very bad. Thankfully my friend was able to drive me back to grab everything and get me home safe. Definitely do not recommend this place.

Corbin O.

Yelp
absolutely terrible staff. Would highly recommend steering clear from this place....the people do not care for the safety and wellbeing of their costumers. I am highly disappointed and honestly disgusted at the costumer service of this establishment. You guys are truly a joke. Whether you are drunk, sober, driving, or walking...make sure you stroll right past this place because I can guarantee they do not give a flying fuck about your safety. Plenty of better options in downtown San Diego and franky I hope their competition beats them. Fuck pool house.

Yelp
I had lunch at The Pool House and enjoyed everything I had! I enjoyed the oysters, they were fresh! The fish tacos were crispy and delicious. The Beyond meat Sliders were really flavorful and so cute! The poke was fresh and spicy, which is how I like mine. The cabanas you can rest are cute and comfortable. The pool is great, even if you go on a cloudy day, they heat the pool so it's comfortable. The views are awesome of San Diego too. The service was great, everyone was very attentive. The lounge or cabana rental sounds expensive but it's actually totally doable because you get it for the whole day. Worth it!

Yelp
First trip since covid started and of course we came to San Diego. This is a review for their happy hour. $1 oysters $8 cocktails and $8 bite. Awesome deal and good food. We had oysters and grilled fish tacos. Also great music and vibe at happy hour 3-5pm. Our server Jess was super friendly. Drinks were on points. We will be back and will bring friends.

Yelp
came with 4 friends, an asian guy, 2 hispanic and 1 black guy and apparently racism is alive and well at the pool house. Came for a day event that we had a guest list for and we were about to head up but then the General manager arrived and was uppity about who we were with, etc. He then said they were at capacity. A minute later a large group of white people arrived and in they went, then another group and they got in. i asked the door guy what the deal was since he was ready yo let us in and he said that was the GM's decision. i asked the guy is he racist and he smiled and gave me a nod.

Yelp
aaand I'm back... and I still love this place!! what a great little getaway- kinda early in the summer but the weather always shapes up @ the Poolhouse. Attentive Staff, Good Food with Generous Portions, and Chill Music (except for Sundays- it's a Party on Sundays!!)... Get the Lollipop Wings

Yelp
Love this spot for a rooftop pool day! they have delicious bites & poolside drinks too. I love their frozen pina colada drinks and the Mediterranean board. Their staff was awesome and whether you're a local or visitor, it's a great spot to soak up the sun!

Yelp
Was denied entry due to wearing pants but 8 individuals were allowed entry with pants right after me. Not sure what the deal was. Dress code not posted on the website.

Yelp
I was strolling around the Gaslamp district and decided to check this cool hang out. JD is the manager and he was kind enough to give me a tour of the spa and Pendry Hotel which is attached to the Pool House. I love it here and thought about getting a cabana and cooling off in the beautiful pool. They have a $50 food and beverage minimum which is well worth it!! Hotel guests can use the pool of course! I love it here!! Everyone is so friendly and cool!!
google avatar

Saleen M.

Yelp
Located in the beautiful Pendry Hotel in DTSD! If you are not staying at the Pendry, entrance for the Pool House is actually just a few doors away from the entrance of the hotel, look out for an elevator with signs. It is so cute! Definitely a great spot to lounge, enjoy their happy hour bites & drinks, with views of DT. The Pool House is located maybe on the 4th level so the views are not vast but still nice! Happy Hour- 4p-6p $1 Raw Oysters: Not typically a fan of raw oysters but what I like about these is that they do not have a grainy taste! Crispy Calamari: Delicious! Loved the sauce. I cannot even remember what drinks we got but they were tasty & strong!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed this past weekend at their hotel. Enjoyed every minute of it. And our experience at The Pool House was a major part of it. My experience started off a little shaky with me having to wait longer than I hoped to have to on Saturday. But then later that night my girlfriend and I were finally able to enjoy ourselves in the hot tub and pool while enjoying a few drinks. Sure it was after a little while of me being annoyed and showing my frustration to the hostess Sam and the semi new manager Dawn. (I think his name was Dawn and not Don. I was calling him Dawn all weekend lol) All the servers were friendly and as on top if things as possible. Both at the bar and poop side. Their food was good. We ordered their chips & guacamole, coconut ceviche and a few different drinks. But really enjoying their Frose and Wet Sand. Over all we really enjoyed ourselves. A big part of that like I mentioned earlier was due to both Sam and Dawn making the effort to see how annoyed I was and doing their best to accommodate us. They were both very apologetic and made sure we had everything we needed. Including great chairs by the pool & checking in to see if we were good. I always say it but customer service is key with me. Great customer service will keep mine and my families business always. And them two just made that hotel and pool experience even better. I highly recommend this hotel and The Pool House to anyone traveling to San Diego. It's a great place to stay, eat, drink and have a overall good time at. I know my family and I will be back sooner than later.

Yelp
Great service! My friend and I came here for happy hour yesterday we were very impressed by the service of the wait staff. We ordered all of the food menu items and a lot of oysters for $1 each It was an unbelievable deal. Everything came out quick and with a smile. We racked up our tab pretty high and probably over stayed our welcome guessing by the number of drinks we had but the servers and manager at the night shift was very accommodating to us. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I had my birthday at the Pool House last month and we rented a cabana for the day. Certain things were great- the cabana was nice and shady, the view was pretty, drinks tasted decent. That's why I didn't give 1 star. But planning/booking it with their manager was horrendous and the day of was even worse. There is a min. food and drink total of $600 for cabana rental for the day. When we got the bill, we saw *THEY INCLUDED A 25% TIP on top of our bill!!* I knew tip wasn't included in the minimum, but I was never told they'd tip themselves 25% of our total bill. If the service was great, I wouldn't have cared. But it was awful. We had to order half our food and drinks from the bar because the servers stopped coming to our cabana after maybe an hour. When I asked the server about this, she said there was nothing she could do and I asked to talk to the manager (I saw him there ten minutes before) and she said he wasn't there. I emailed him re this situation and never heard back. Also fyi they don't tell you that you're not allowed to sit in any lounge chairs if you rent a cabana and not a hotel guest. You're required to be in your cabana or in the pool.

Yelp
Cool vibes at the pool- good music, great to meet up with girl friends drink and to have a good time.

Yelp
Beautiful rooftop restaurant. Lovely Décor and view. It's a great place to go to enjoy the weather, people watch, and grab something eat (if it arrives). My friend lives just a few blocks away, and we were starving after a visit to the USS Midway. Although he comes here often for dinners and events, he had never been for lunch. Long story short....our lunch took about 50 minutes to arrive. We ordered the Poke and Avocado Toast as appetizers. Sadly all of our dishes arrived at the same time.... yes, even the Avocado Toast. We also had the Tacos and Buffalo Chicken Wrap. The food is decent, but I'm not impressed with the service here. We quickly ate our lunch and left. What we thought would be a short lunch ended up taking much longer, and we had a dog to walk. Our server had to fill our iced teas more times than I can remember. To make up for the long wait for our food, the server didn't charge us for appetizers. That was nice of them. I think they could have done better with the food situation. There were a whole lot of staff walking around. Most of them looked like management. It even looked like they were have a little meeting near the bar. Did I mention that all of their servers are attractive? I wonder what their interview process is like. Do they show up in swimsuits? :-) lol.

Yelp
Awesome food and drinks here! Wasn't expecting such a good burger! My complaint is just that the staff was not welcoming, warm, or friendly. Quite the opposite, I got some attitude even when I asked for some water because the dispenser was empty. The water was never refilled during my hours there laying by the pool. Everyone seemed to have an attitude today. Wondering how management culture is...

Yelp
I had communicated with someone named Marissa about renting a cabana during the week. I was told that they were available and that they would stay open until 10:00 pm. I tried day before and day of to reach Marissa again to settle the reservation, as well as called The Pool House (very difficult to get ahold of someone there and the hotel staff didn't seem to know how to direct the call/there was a lot of back and forth and transfers). I also emailed their concierge email, day of, to let them know we were on our way. I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone to reserve the cabana, so my group and I decided to purchase it upon arrival. We arrived, via Uber, at 5:45 PM (this was a Tuesday) and was told that the pool was closed. We were told that the pool stays open until 10:00pm (even on a Tuesday), by two different staff. The Pendry staff was unapologetic about the miscommunication. My group and I were ready to through down $2,000 that evening (this is June-gloom weather, mind you); but I am glad we didn't. We Ubered back to our hotel (Kona Kai Resort), where we were able to enjoy two cabanas for free; we ordered food and drinks from the restaurant. Never got a reply email or call, by the way.

Yelp
2 stars solely due to the man checking ID's at the booth outside yesterday (Sunday 6/9 around 4PM). He was extremely rude and dismissive, definitely on a power trip and overall seems like a miserable dude. Really put a bad taste in my mouth the second my friends and I got there, making the overall experience more negative than anything. Man needs a lesson on customer service as he is the first person people encounter to get in making him the face of the establishment.

Yelp
Commemorating the end of the school year at the Pendry, The Pool House was the perfect place to unwind and celebrate the beginning of summer. The atmosphere was fun, yet relaxing. Our waitress, Arlene, was very well informed on menu options and provided outstanding service! She checked to see if we were doing okay and was always friendly and gracious making for truly exceptional service. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many vegan options on the menu. The 'Banana Split' was absolutely amazing. The ice-cream was rich and creamy, while the covered banana was crispy and phenomenal. The drink that Arlene suggested, the 'Fresca Fizz,' was fun and refreshing. The Pool House is a fabulous hotel pool, providing a truly remarkable experience for guests!

Liyon K.

Yelp
The manger is racist and disrespectful, we wanted to get in and he said that there is dress code and he was letting in everyone that we're wearing same clothes as us and when I asked him he just says "yea" and looks away because he knew he was wrong and didn't have an answer

Yelp
San Diego is back! Came here to celebrates birthdays. It was a super safe Covid-19 environment, friendly staff, and well structured maintenance. Jess was the absolute best waitress! We will back. I suggest you take advantage of t his spot. Went to other pool spots and nothing like this compared. Great rooftop view. GM was accommodating and provided great residency while we stayed. Grab a southern punch. Refreshing and tasteful.

I went here for a pool party and was not disappointed by the cleanliness of the pools and the hospitality of the staff.

Yelp
My SO booked us a room at the Pendry and we decided as hotel guests to visit the Pool House on the rooftop. The service between roof top and lobby is night and day. I really felt welcomed by the lobby staff and yet when we go up to the top floor in the elevator, you're put into Vegas-esque style where the bartenders forget your drinks or barely notice you at all and the wait staff is only concerned about people who paid for a cabana. I had to remind our hostess that my drink never arrived and it took longer to receive water than the drinks we ordered.

Yelp
Ahh nice pool scene. Beautiful people, normal people. All kinds. The perfect weather makes it hard to go wrong but the service here was just about perfect as well. Friendly, not stuffy, came around frequently. We arrived after 4 and there were some cabanas in action and a few kids swimming but it was quiet and relaxed-most people soaking up rays in the lounges around the pool. 5:00 hit and the happy hour pricing started which is definitely the time to eat and drink (1/2 off). Gaucamole and chips were just right-a modified version with some radish slices and pepitas but tasted good. Margarita on the rocks was delicious with a "float of grand marnier" on top. 5:00 is also when the doors open for the public: cue the people watching! On a Thursday night, all sorts of big groups began arriving and it was lots of fun to hang out, have a drink and observe. My favorites: guy with the large camera and the extremely tight and short swim suit: wow. Just wow. More power to you for forcing that thing on! Girl with the semi thong thing: I wasn't looking I promise but yes it definitely worked-especially the part where it semi-curved and began to...oh wait never mind ;-) Over-talking cell phone guy: annoying yet also quite entertaining! Hipster hat-wearing guy with the miracle-gro beard: OH MY GOD- that thing was way out of control, contained wildlife and was massively awesome! Young guys with the perfect chests and arms: envy- ok I need to wax and do more upper body for sure. Credit to the Pendry- just about whatever it does it does well.

Yelp
I stopped in at The Pool House at the Pendry Hotel for a light lunch after a men's facial at the Spa Pendry. At the bar, I ordered the "Hiramasa" or Yellow Tail Sashimi at $15 and a draft M.D. Ultra at $7. The yellow tail was no doubt delicious and melted in my mouth as I ate, but what impressed me were the ingredients that came along with the meal. The ponzu was tasty and I loved the addition of the delicately sliced Serrano peppers. The red sauce, similar or actually a Sirracha went well with the Hiramasa. The texture of the fish was quite buttery and its flavor was keen. At $15, the price seemed fair for the quality of fish, but I would like to see them serve a little more of that micro salad which was a very good palate cleanser between offerings of the fish. The M.B. Ultra was refreshing and light, but I was disappointing that they served it in a warm glass which allowed the beer to loose it coldness quicker than it should of. They have to find away to keep their beer glasses cold, especially for those warm summer days and nights. Service was pretty good. The young lady who served me at first, before a shift change, had a great personality and was attentive. After she left, it was not as well refined as it should been. Nevertheless, the place is beautiful, and offers a great view of the Gaslamp Quarter and such. Their are private cabanas, a pool, and state of the art Jacuzzi. The general public can access the The Pool House from 5th avenue visit the bar and enjoy to of the great eats they offer here, not to mention the pool parties!

Yelp
The employees are so kind & attentive. They are also well informed about the menu items. I enjoyed a banana spicy margarita. My husband had a rum cocktail. I was skeptical about a banana drink, but it was very tasty. The grilled striped bass fish tacos were divine. The restaurant is located in the Pendry San Diego & are well worth checking out.

Yelp
Covid Review #59 Following a massage at the Pendry Spa, you can "relax" at the adjacent pool. Minus one star for the loudness. It's NOT a spa pool, it's a party pool, so be forwarned...it's NOT relaxing like let's say the Rancho Bernardo Inn spa pool. I hope they could make it a spa pool while the spa is open, or at least a family pool and leave the parties for after hours. Just club music in the middle of the day... why? But 4 stars for sunshine, happy hour and plentiful lounges :) The food is solid too.

Yelp
Just got to The Pendry yesterday and went straight to the Pool House. A pretty and hip pool deck- pool is kinda small. Lots of seating and only cabana area is reserved. There is a jacuzzi as well as pool. Waitress service is offered and Brittany was great. She cane back after her break to make sure we were taken care of. Music was good- a live dj might be a better touch for Sunday afternoon but it was still fun. We had the fish tacos and the pool burger both were delicious. Fries were tasty too. They have several employees working together- setting up your umbrella and clearing dishes etc. Grey and white striped towels are provided at the pool and you need your room key card to access the pool area. There is a bar and tv area for drinks and tables for lunch etc too. It gets good afternoon sun and lots of umbrellas. Stay at the Pendry and hit the pool.

Yelp
Something you might not hear often but COME WORK REMOTE HERE DURING THE DAY! I've made it a habit to bring my laptop here and having incredibly productive days! San Diego days are beautiful and they have a covered area near the bar ideal for setting up and getting to work. PLUS Wifi quality is very good I have had no problems. Atmosphere is awesome, good music playing but not too loud so you can concentrate. Service is impeccable! I had the privilege of being taken care of by Arliene & Jared. Arliene checked on me and was so sweet and personable but also totally gave me my space since I was working. Also got to meet David who was great and truly a reflection of the quality of service you get at The Pendry. The food and snacks are all 10/10 and they even have coffee! Working at a beautiful place with sunshine and all the amenities I need was really a game changer for me. Highly recommend

Yelp
Such a great place to step away from the hustle and bustle and sit back and relax for a couple of drinks and snacks. Awesome staff makes it a great time on top of it. It's not a big place, especially that the social distancing is in place, however, if not reserving a cabana, a bliss to find a table and spend the afternoon away.

Yelp
Party Time! Every Sunday The Pool house has a Pool Party. Even do I have only been here once i had a great time. Bottle service starts in the 750.00 USD. The average bottle is in the 450.00 USD. The music is load and will be only EDM. So be ready to dance. It has a small pool. So even do it's advertised as a "Pool Party" the Pool is almost empty. So this Pool Party is a great excuse to party in a very small bikini and day drink. Would I came again? Hell yea!

Yelp
First of all, best lobster roll sandwich! It is filled with lobster shoved into the post delicious bread ever. Must order. Their fries were also good, we also had the seafood cocktail and fish tacos. It was all yummy and for what it was, downtown, it was a fair price. Not cheap, but I didn't feel like I paid too much for what I got. The pool is awesome to enjoy also. Comfy chairs and beds and perfect water temp The only thing missing is the service. We were sitting out at the pool so that may have been what produced worse service. Ultimately at first we weren't checked in on often at first. Wasn't until the pool was jam packed they started coming around more often. We didn't have any cocktails mostly due to other reviews saying they are overpriced and don't pack a punch. Make your own in the room
