The Port Square Hotel

There are many many hotels in Piraeus either close or very close to the port. This one is just feet from the subway and easy to reach by bus from the airport. It's also pretty much across the street from Gate E7 and very close to E8 and E9, making getting to your ferry terminal in minutes if leaving from those gates. It's more upscale than many of the other hotels nearby and the price reflects that. The front desk person was incredible when we were there. The rooms aren't huge, but again bigger than others in the area. Overall, comfortable room, great bed and nice bathroom. We had a side sea view with a balcony. I'm not sure that it's worth paying more for that because the balcony was small with no place to sit. We really liked the little restaurant attached. It's a bit elegant. Also, breakfast was excellent. On the other side away from the restaurant is a wonderful cafe/deli/bakery so if you don't want to go far, you have two good choices for food to the left or right of the lobby. The neighborhood feels a little doggy.

Unbelievably convenient location!! Directly in front of Piraeus Railway / Metro station and the very busy famous port. Room was spotless, supremely comfortable bed hard to wake up from each morning with a smallish but perfectly functioning bathroom. Breakfast is served in the restaurant attached to the hotel. High quality selection, not huge, but something for everyone’s tastebuds. Hotel staff were very amicable and always on hand to help any questions or just local advice. With the Metro outside taking you straight to Syntagma in 20/25 minutes and the airport just over an hour on the same line. Will be my first choice next visit. Left feeling refreshed and relaxed. The staff was very professional, friendly and efficient, at the front desk Nick was very helpful. The hotel is very clean and the rooms have a coffee machine and a mini fridge which is great to start the morning. The location is great the subway/metro station is right across the hotel so you can get anywhere quickly. There are a lot of restaurants near by and roof bar terrasse to go to. If you are going on cruise or finishing a cruise this hotel is a great place to stay. It as a restaurant that is great and reasonably priced. There no balcony which really is not needed.

Stayed one night after returning on a late ferry from the islands, got a free upgrade to a larger room which was clean and well-furnished. Reception staff were the best! Special thank you to Maria, who made sure we knew about the train and metro situation (there was a strike so trains were limited and not running all day) and gave us great advice so that we could catch our flight home.

This is an excellent hotel which met our needs in full.It is fantastically situated directly across from Piraeus Station giving easy access to Athens sights as well as both Olympiacos and Panathinaikos football Stadiums It is also adjacent to the Port for ferries to the islands The hotel staff from front desk to cleaners to breakfast were super friendly, helpful and accommodating and are a credit to the hotel. The breakfast itself is absolutely lovely and has a range of very tasty items both hot and cold, both sweet and savoury including many traditional treats, all of a very high quality. The room was both functional and comfortable and afforded plenty of space for us both. This and the ensuite with excellent "rain shower" were modern, stylish, spacious and well maintained. The toiletries provided were of a high standard and additionally complimentary bottles of mineral water were provided.The area as a whole has like anywhere, it's plusses and minuses but we found it generally safe, pleasant, lively at times but not excessively so, with a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, kiosks and more in the immediate vicinity and and an even wider range in the neighborhood in general. There are also some worthwhile sights nearby in Piraeus itself and the hotel serves as a great base for beach lovers with tram stops to the Athens Riviera a few minutes away All in all this hotel provided us with an excellent and enjoyable stay, offering very good value for money and we would recommend it.very highly indeed.

A wonderful place for the short stay! Clean rooms, the shower's heat and water pressure was fab, the staff were super friendly and professional, and the options included in the breakfast buffet was lovely and great fuel to start the day. An added bonus is the metro station right opposite the hotel, super easy to get to Athens city centre for all the touristy things and back again. Σας ευχαριστώ!

This gem of a hotel in the port is fantastic. Tasteful furnished, roomy and very clean it has everything you need to a stay before boarding a cruise. We arrived very late at night and were greeted warmly and were checked in in no time. The WiFi is free and fast and the included buffet breakfast was very welcome. I would certainly stay again if I was boarding a cruise which is just a short walk away.

We spent the night here before boarding our ferry. This hotel was comfortable, clean, and very convenient to the metro and the port! We were exhausted from our travel and were delighted to discover the hotel is in between a delicious restaurant and a lovely coffeeshop. This was a great stay!
