Best Guesthouse in town! If you are celebrating anything , this is the place to be. Had the absolute best birthday here, with surprise decorations and treats. Annamarie and Dave are so welcoming and such nice staff. The room was beautiful and good amenities. Breakfast was also perfect and will be coming back. Thanks you so much guys! Will never forget it.

The perfect place to stay in Hermanus! Anne Marie and Dave are simply wonderful hosts — warm, kind, and incredibly helpful. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us as if we were part of their home. And in fact, after reading their story, you realize that’s exactly the spirit they’ve created here: a cozy, homely, and truly special environment. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic too — just a short walk to the Cliff Path, perfect for enjoying the stunning ocean views. Anne Marie and Dave also provided us with all the information and tips we needed to make the most of our time in Hermanus. Honestly, this is the best place to stay in town — we couldn’t recommend it more!

We loved our stay at the Potting Shed! The rooms are beautifully furnished with so many details. The bed is very comfortable ! The little Pool area and the private spot outside our room were also great! The employees are so friendly and made our stay even more special. And great breakfast! Unfortunetaly we were only for one night here but you should book 2 or more!

We stayed in studio room which was large and comfortable could no make the most of the outside area due to the weather. Fantastic pancakes for breakfast which made a nice change to the usual breakfast. About a 1 km walk from the main centre down a well lit road and passing the Police station so always felt safe.

Really a great stay. We stayed one night in the studio room and it was perfect. Annamarie and Dave are very sweet and help you with all their love to book an activity, for example. The breakfast is delicious, especially the homemade pancakes! Location is perfect, close to the coast and nice restaurants. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at the Potting Shed for one night and recieved a very warm welcome. At arrival we were given a drink and a tour around the b&b. We booked the deluxe room, meaning we had access to a braai that worked beautifully, and we did not have to do the dishes. During breakfast, the owners were very kind and loved to come over to have a chat. Overall an amazing experience and we would definitely come back!

Stayed for one night. The welcome was warm and the room was neatly taken care of. The homemade breakfast was delicious. The flexibility of the owners to let us shower after a kayak tour was very much appreciated!
