We've been coming here for many years, since we moved to Keizer, but we'll find another spot now. It was Friday night at like 6:30pm. There were maybe 6 to 8 people in the place other than a band setting up. There were twice as many people in the kitchen as we've ever seen (2, lol). We sat down at the bar and noticed that there wasn't any kind of tap list visible anywhere (that's new). When the barkeeper asked for our drink order, we had to ask about what was available (she did manage to tell us about the daily special though). No problems there. Of the 6 of us seated at the bar, the barkeeper (Katrina I think, I overheard it from someone at the bar, she never introduced herself) was focused 50% of the time on her cell phone and 48% of the time on 2 very obviously already over served individuals that were clearly personal friends. We asked if they had a menu item they've had in the past available and were simply told no. We ordered some waffle fries and a pretzel and after 20-30 minutes (there aren't other people ordering at this point, so we're not sure what the hold up is) we received a pretzel and some soggy waffle fries. Maybe spend more time training the kitchen staff and less time on the fancy white chef uniform for a grill cook at a bar? Fake it till you make it doesn't really work with barkeepers and cooks. I had heard that the place was under new ownership/management, it's unfortunate that such a great location is struggling so hard with such basic business concepts. Maybe the wife and I will check back in a year or so and see if they can figure this out. Overall, the lack of any kind of attention from the barkeeper and the quality and variety of foods and their preparation are not what we've come to enjoy here, so we won't be regulars here anymore. Pretty sad, I used to like this place.
