A huge thank you for Q for fitting my suit for a friend's wedding. It was such a great fitted jacket, shirt and pants. Q walks me through the process, and is able to advise a complete fashion novice on what makes a great suit. He's very patient and meticulous. As a Singaporean, the price point was high but definitely worth it and great value. Tailoring a suit isn't just simple alteration, it's a complete customised statement piece that I can wear to social events and business events, and feel confident in how I look. Stepping into his shop and being introduced to the fabric options was not as daunting as I imagined and actually was quite a fun process. I would definitely return to Q to get custom shirts.

Mr. Q is possibly the most knowledgeable mens clothing man I’ve ever met. He knows the ins and outs of it all and is so kind and patient throughout. We talked for a long time and he was understanding that I needed to think on a few small items, which I came back for one a week or so later. The store is known for their menswear, but they have some great casual options as well! I love that Prefecture straddles the boundary of casual and formal so effortlessly.

A tailoring experience at The Prefecture is like no other. Mr Q a man of many words, finesse and of course style will advise you the best colours, cuts and fabric that will make you look your best and if you should be so lucky you just may leave the shop with a life lesson or two. I’ve been a regular customer and wouldn’t ever dream of going anywhere else when I need an update in my wardrobe.

I have known Mr Q for 6 years both as a tailor and a friend. He is an absolute pleasure to deal with and the clothes are unlike anything you can find in Singapore. Unique design and fabrics with precise custom fittings. The shop is tucked nicely away in Duxton fostering a great atmosphere that beckons the passerby to come in to chat with the ultra friendly store owner. I highly recommend his custom designed shirts, pants, suits and everything in between. His accessories (belts, jewellery, and known designer shoes) are pretty special as well as they fit with nicely with his developed clothing lines.

Q is an exceptional craftsmen with an excellent eye for detail, style and character. He encouraged me to think bold with my fashion choices without sacrificing comfort. My experience with The Prefecture was a fantastic one, I highly recommend!

Mr Q is the anti-thesis of your grandfather’s sombre tailor. I had the pleasure of starting my tailoring journey with Q, and was immediately caught by his infectious enthusiasm towards crafting quality menswear and the boldness to add just enough edginess to bring character out of every wearer. The weather’s horrid in Singapore and with hardly anyone going into the office anymore, Mr Q’s speciality in laid back sprezzatura, tropical inspired comfort menswear is a must visit for anyone discerning!

We highly recommend Mr Q. From start to finish our wedding outfits were taken control of to a terrific level of quality. The service was impeccable and the cut of the product equally impressive. We will be back to lengthen the wardrobe without a doubt !
