The Prince George Hotel Halifax

Stayed here in December and could not have been happier. Rooms and amenities were excellent. Surpassed only by the excellent customer service. The staff was lovely, knowledgeable and accommodating. Anytime supplies in a certain area of the hotel were lacking they were promptly restocked. Would recommend to anybody. Our stay was lovely.

The staff were amazing from check in early as requested to room being spotless on arrival and after second morning as well. Walk in shower and bed great. Pool/sauna/hot tub and abundance of lovely towels makes for great option. ||Can't forget Gio their amazing first class dining room. Prior to this visit, our go to restaurant was the Keg across the street. No longer... Gio was so much better from food, service, and atmosphere. Appetizers were amazing... Borscht soup and Risotto ball, followed by best steak and scallops and shrimp. Then dessert wonderful. Can't wait to return.

We stayed here for short visit to Halifax. We fell in love with the prime location. The harbour boardwalk was walking distance. There were MANY dining options within steps. ||The team at the Prince George went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They gladly shared favourite establishments and places we must see. As well, we had left an item in our room after we departed. The staff located it and stored until we could safely retrieve. ||The pool and workout space were welcome space to use at the end of a long travel day!

We were with a group tour run by Tauck and they booked this hotel. We liked it. The rooms are clean and everything works. I don’t think it’s really a luxury hotel but the location is quite good. A couple of outstanding features are the instant on hot water in the rooms and the amazing bacon they serve with their breakfast. Other nice features are they’re very friendly with a prompt response to any request. They do have a pool. There’s also a deck where you can have cocktails and snacks. We stayed here a total of five nights during our trip and would return if we were to visit Halifax again.

How do I process my emotions regarding our stay at the prince george hotel…. Me and my husband and 3 children checked into a 400 dollar suite for my sons birthday. The pool is very hot as the hot tub is overflowing into the pool. The dry sauna does not work as advertised. Our room was called a suite and was fairly decent and quite clean. Now the horrific part. My husband was coming up from the lobby in the elevator a few guests decided they wanted to racially profile him and i care not to repeat the things they said. I did call downstairs immediately. They listened but no apology was given on behalf of the hotel because it happened at the hotel, nothing. In the morning at check out the clerk Jackie was very nice and understanding but told me I received an email from the manager. After reading the email, it basically explained we hold no accountable for this situation. I’m a very reasonable person and an apology with sympathy would be fine for me. Maybe a complimentary brunch for the kids, but i left feeling like my family was just a dollar to the manager. Very hurtful! I know things were out of his control but I know how i would have handled that situation and I know i would have went about handling the situation.

A wonderful experience! The rooms are good, solid, no frills, 4 stars. The staff are exceptional, 6 stars! I let Jannie know it was a big birthday for my wife (ending in a zero). She arranged to leave a card, chocolate, and drink vouchers for us. These are the types of things that really make you feel good and want to return (and write a review). Thank you Prince George!

Room was wonderful... beds the best. Loved walk in shower. Pool/sauna/hot-tub great. Gio... finest restaurant in Haifax, if not Nova Scotia. First class and so much more enjoyable than the Keg, which is right across the street.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! From arrival to departure everything was 5*'s. Check in was smooth, parking was easy to do on our own. The pool was fantastic we had it all to ourselves along with the sauna! I have to give a big shout out to Steven at the front desk, he was great and went above and beyond. You made our anniversary extra special! Thank you. The mixologist at the bar is also awesome ! Along with the other bar tender. We attend a comedy show at the Lighthouse and used the underground tunnel! It was awesome. This hotel is in a perfect location. We will be back!!
