Amazing!!! As a big fan of the Ted Lasso show, visiting The Prince’s Head was a must—and I’m so glad we did! The experience was fantastic from start to finish. We walked in without a reservation, but the staff were incredibly accommodating. One of them assured us he’d find a table, and he delivered. The service was top-notch throughout. Gilbert did an outstanding job taking care of us—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. His beer recommendations were spot on. The food was excellent, especially the vegetarian options, which really stood out. Huge thanks to the kitchen team! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was great to see where so many memorable Ted Lasso moments were filmed. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful dinner and a truly memorable experience!

This pub has been made famous by Ted Lasso, which is what brought us here. But if you were to ignore that fact, on it’s an absolutely excellent pub. There is indoor and outdoor seating. For the pub area, you order at the bar and food is brought to the table (they have numbers on them). There is also a restaurant area but it was full and we didn’t have a reservation (would recommend that if you want a table in the dining area). They have a great selection of food and drinks of all kinds. It was busy/full at lunch time on a Friday, and yet we were still able to easily hear each other when talking. They had Wimbledon on some of the TVs and football on others. There is a view of the Richmond Green from one side/outside. The servers were quick and efficient, but also really helpful and welcoming. Overall a great place to eat and drink (while soaking in those Ted Lasso vibes you may or may not be interested in).

The moment I was gifted the trip to London , it was my goal to come visit Richmond because of the show Ted Lasso. As I walked into the Prince’s Head not only was I taken back with the beautiful layout of the location, but the service. The staff made it exciting when we sat down to eat offered us the Ted Lasso booth where we ate. Food was delicious as my wife had the Fish & Chips, I ate the wings. Beer was great, and the staff asked great questions to ensure we had the best time. Never bothered , yet always stayed attentive to our needs. Thank you for making part of my dream trip even more memorable. Elvis M

Food was great!! Atmosphere was really cool and knowing about Ted Lasso filming there was a neat fact! Service was very friendly but a little slow. Overall for the money we enjoyed it a lot!

Google
Came here thanks to Ted Lasso and were quite happy with the experience. The food was good and waiting time was reasonable given how busy the place is on the weekends. Great selection of food which sits more on the premium side compared to traditional pub fares.

Google
This place was a dream come true to visit, especially if you are a Ted Lasso fan. Everything was amazing food, service, drinks beyond top notch. Bartenders were awesome, they let us pose with the AFC Richmond scarf!! 100% recommend and would definitely visit again. Everything we had was reasonably priced.

Google
Was really fun to come here and see the famous pub from Ted Lasso. It's the outside that's in the show - the interior scenes are filmed in a studio - but really quaint pub regardless. The pint I ordered came out crisp and clear.

Google
Being a fan of Ted Lasso, this pub was on the list of things to see while in the UK 🇬🇧 There was plenty of seating inside and out and we were lucky enough to get outdoor seating. It did rain but the umbrella outside kept us dry so it was still a very pleasant visit. There are a lot of tourists that come past and take loads of pics of the pub and phone boxes out front so be prepared to be snapped in the background.

Yelp
This is the bar known as the Crown and Anchor from the Ted Lasso television show. The family and I ended up doing a guided Ted Lasso tour through Richmond which ended at this pub. We made reservations about 3 weeks ahead of time to ensure we could dine here after our tour. The outside is exactly as you see in the TV show. The inside is cozy with more room in the back. We were lucky to be seated next to the booth that Ted and Beard usually sit at. The staff was super friendly and helped us to enjoy the continuing Ted moment. For food, we were all very pleased. I ordered a chicken sandwich with chips. The chips (fries) are triple fried which made the fries super crispy on the exterior and so soft and fluffy in the middle. I don't usually like steak fries, but these were fantastic. My kid also ordered the onion rings. The breading was so light and super crispy. I asked the server what was in the breading. She said it had something to do with the local beer they use for the batter. Fantastic way to enjoy some food while in Richmond.

Yelp
Great food, beer and service. Made a reservation online, but we were quite a bit late. Gentleman that greeted us was very nice and seated us right away (there is a lot of seating). Bruschetta is delicious. Bread was slightly crunchy, but soft in the middle. Perfect. Topping were lovely. Fish and chips were tasty as well. Nicely cooked. Chips were nice and crispy too. Yummy. Good selection of beer and liquor. More locals seem to come here than tourists. Atmosphere is lively and friendly. All the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. Place is clean. Definitely come here whether you are a Ted Lasso fan or just visiting.

Yelp
Are you a Ted Lasso fan?!? Yes? YES!!! Well this is definitely a MUST DO in Richmond (after you've done the Original Ted Lasso Tour - another MUST DO!!!). This is hands down the coolest pub everrrrr!. Recommend making reservations online and requesting a ted lasso table! We scored big time and got THE ted lasso table! We had other guests coming over to take photos (so be ready for that if you're in the ted lasso booth!). Service was amazing here, we were a little earlier than our reservation but we were able to get it in! And imagine our surprise when nick led us over to the ted lasso booth (i was so surprised, i didnt even KNOW there was this themed ted lasso booth!!). Very cool to see the photos and kit front the show! Food was great, beer was awesome, ambiance was incredible. Definitely a must do in Richmond!

Yelp
We met our friend here for lunch during our last visit to London and it was a great experience. We visited during a pretty torrential downpour so after a wet walk from the Richmond Train station we were so happy to come into such a warm welcoming environment. I had pretty low expectation since I figured so many people come here just because of Ted Lasso. But it is a really nice, traditional English pub with a lovely atmosphere and high-quality food. My husband had the fish and chips and I had the crab cake special. The sauce on the crab cake was so good and frankly the best part. I could have done with a little more crab and a little less breading, but all in all it was a good meal. I especially loved the pear cider. The place was packed for lunch mid-week in the off season so if you want to go, make sure you book a table. It's definitely a great spot.

Yelp
All right Ted Lasso fans. This review is from just under a year ago (apologies for that because I was talking a social media break). I have to say that The Princes Head really did not disappoint. The food was good and the beer cold. We were pleasantly surprised when the server said that they had a couple vegan options on the menu. We enjoyed some nibbler and starters that were the Chili and garlic olives, focaccia bread Kalamata olive mayo, crispy cauliflower, and a couple cold Fuller beers (and it was all surprisingly filling too). Everything was good especially compared to the usual Pub food. For my non-plant based friends my daughters had the Rib Eye, calamari, and fries which they also enjoyed. The server was very friendly and helpful will to let us take our time with the menu and even going back to the kitchen to double check on their plant based options. As of the ambience, it had a nice vibe. The people around were very friendly and there was a little tribute to the show Ted Lasso with the place having a booth dedicated to the show. I will say though that I was a little disappointed when I saw that there was no dart board because I was looking forward to tossing a few darts, but I guess you can't have it all .

Yelp
I couldn't resist coming by for a Guinness at Ted's pub while waiting for my Richmond AFC shirt to be personalized at the nearby shop. Very cute bar; seems larger on the show. Love the vibe on a Sunday afternoon. Didn't get a chance to eat anything as I have reservations for tea in a bit and I didn't want to spoil my appetite. The crew behind the bar were very friendly. Next time I'll stay for lunch!

Yelp
Yes, we came here because my family is Ted Lasso fans but Ted Lasso or not this a great little pub! We made reservations as there were 6 of us, and they seated us at a little table in the back. I had the south down venison and it was delicious. They also had a decent beer and wine list so overall we had lovely dinner here! There are multiple nods to Ted Lasso throughout the pub. The scarf behind the counter, a booth with pictures and jerseys in the back of the pub and if you head to the bathroom you will see Believe. It was a neat experience as a fan to be able to sit and have a meal here. Also, we got there early which was perfect as the area outside is also picture worthy and we ended up spending the entire day wandering the area as Richmond is a quiet laid back city, which was a great change in pace to the rest of the vacation, so try to spend some extra time in the area if you can!

Yelp
I Believe This might be the best fish and chips, even the peas were delicious! Got the charcuterie board starter, it was good but detracted from the main event. Sat in the Ted Lasso corner, a DubaiAir jersey over my shoulder and a bunch of photos of the cast of TL everywhere. The service was quick, exceedingly friendly and overall just perfect. Reservations recommended Go Greyhounds!

Yelp
Went to the Princess Head after the Ted Lasso tour and booked the Ted Lasso table. The food, while standard pub fare, is very good. The staff is lovely and accommodating and the Ted Lasso ambiance makes for a fun meal.

Yelp
I mean, it's the Ted Lasso pub! That's 100% why we visited here and didn't expect it to be much more than that, but we surprisingly had a great overall experience (beyond just indulging our nerdy fandom). The fish & chips were the best we had during our time in London, they had a great beer selection, and the service was super friendly even though we were clearly tourists taking in the Ted Lasso vibes.

Yelp
Went to the prince's head on a recent trip to London, as we're big Ted Lasso fans. They sat us quickly (it's the off season - do not expect that in a busy tourist season), but the pub was still incredibly busy. The food and the beer were great, and the staff was excellent. They have a few nods to the show, but they also have their own charm of being a pub right on the Green! Highly recommend checking it out.

Yelp
A picturesque pub with solid service and good pub fare. I'm sure it was busy before the hit show aired and Princes Head became a mecca for my fellow TedHeads, and it's definitely busy now. Fortunately, though, it's got quite a bit of seating for a pub, so we didn't have to wait for a table for 5 at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The Greyhounds corner is especially comfortable with the couch tucked in the corner. Fish n chips were very good - the curry sauce it comes with is zesty, and the mushy peas were so good, even the little guy was a fan. The kids' portion would be enough for a normal plate, and the full size was massive. The batter and the chips were perfectly fried. A better fish n chips very likely exists elsewhere, but as a huge fan of the dish, this one did the trick nicely. I'm told the ravioli was 3.5/5. The pork schnitzel, though, was disappointingly bland and thick. Service throughout was quick and cheerful - definitely better than it typically at most tourist destinations. Worth the pilgrimage!

Yelp
I was worried about this famous location being too touristy. I thought the food (Sunday roast) and service was excellent. A fun location and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
google avatar

Gina C.

Yelp
Packed little pub!!! They had lots of seating options on the back if you were looking to eat. We were a group stopping by for a round of beers and had to maneuver a bit until we found a table to take over from a group leaving. Beautiful views of the park and lovely interior with lots of charm. Would definitely come back!!

Yelp
For the Ted Lasso pub pilgrimage from Heathrow airport terminal 5 bus station take the #490 to the George street stop. It's an hour ride. Walk down the alley and you have arrived. The small shrine of the Ted Lasso / Richmond Greyhounds football club is in the back dining room. A staff person will happily take your photo. We came hungry for Sunday roast. Without a booking the greeter was still happy to seat us even though the place was busy. 3 other servers visited us during our meal and they were all friendly and happy. The food was good. I had the beef Sunday roast with all the trimmings. It was a big plate with generous portions. 2 weeks before I ate a Sunday roast in a fancy place in Chelsea. That meal cost twice the Princes head roast. I preferred the Princes head as it t was more flavorful, prepared more expertly, less fussy and homemade tasting. Bambie loved her fish and chips. She said the haddock was the best she had in 3 weeks at several different places. Plentiful selection of whatever adult beverage you may desire. As this is a Fuller's pub, I opted for the cask ale. It was delicious, tasted alive. If you love Ted Lasso a visit here will be a memorable experience. If you're not a Lasso devotee, but are in town with a stomach growling hunger this pub will satisfy.

Yelp
Second trip here with wife and 7 yo. Walked in on a busy weeknight, we didn't have reservations so had to squeeze in to a spot in the bar area. Staff is fantastic, helpful and pros. Food is delicious and would love to eat here everyday. Will probably make a reservation next time, unless we are in the area and we'll stroll in. Side note - kids menu - chicken is great, pizza is a bust.

Yelp
Had to travel and do the Ted Lasso tourist thing! Made reservations for a 1 pm lunch online, no problems and grabbed a drink before we sat down. Great choices for Ciders and ales and a great allergy tracker for food ingredients if you have allergies just make sure you really are specific to what you want, I'm almost positive they DID NOT give me a gluten free bun, since i had a reaction after we left. The atmosphere was exactly like except, great cozy corners and full bar with great decorations on the wall from the series on Apple TV. Employees were nice and efficient. Just had a burger, but was tastey and broccoli side helped me feel a tad bit healthier. If you go make sure you take a walk down to the water to see the views and walk off your meal.

Yelp
Full disclosure, I like both pubs and Ted lasso, so this was a no brainer for me. Being the first to arrive as they opened we were greeted quickly and allowed to do things most people may not be able to do as far as photos go. The service was way and beyond friendly from multiple staff members. Beers were reasonable and the bar felt original and not overly commercialized, despite its reputation. Great start to a day trip away from the London city center.

Yelp
Went as fans of Ted Lasso and the staff were very friendly and accommodating even though we had no reservations. Food was elevated and fabulous for a pub.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Fantastic Ambience! Friendly locals and amazing fish and chips!! Keep an eye out for the sprinkling of Ted Lasso memorabilia throughout the pub! Can't wait to visit again!!
google avatar

Yelp
If you are going to see the bar from Ted Lasso, you will not be disappointed. Make sure to walk the whole place, as. you will find suddle hiddened FC Richmond merchandise. The beer and gin selection was good, and the atmosphere during a Rugby game made us feel like we were watching FC Richmond.

Yelp
Had a visit planned for months - Ted Lasso fans From the moment we arrived it seemed surreal. Georgia was our sever and she was fantastic! Friendly, welcoming and not judgy of our geekiness at all. Had the Chicken meal and Fish & Chips. Food was excellent, perfect blend of flavors and textures, served piping hot.  We truly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Richmond.

Yelp
Not even going to deny it, I came here because I am a huge Ted Lasso fan and had to eat at the pub. I know they don't actually film inside but still. Got the pie of the day which was steak and cabbage. It was delicious. Savoury, warm, rich in flavour and the sauce completed it all. The pub is also so well run, great employees and very nice. Even if you don't watch the show, worth stopping by!

Yelp
On our way to catch a proper London Rugby Darby, we stopped by the Prine's Head Pub in Richmond next to the green. If you don't know, this is the pub that is prominently featured in the TV show Ted Lasso. We walked straight by at first on our quest to catch some rugby only to be met with a sold-out house. So, dejected from not getting to see the match, we returned to the pub to have a pint and drown our sorrows. But they weren't sorrows for very long because the Prince's Head was just plain great. Sure, there were some Lasso tourists, ourselves included, but it was mostly just a classical English pub kicking it on a Saturday night. We met a manager named Nick who was terrific and shared the impact of the show on their biz. While definitely busier, he told us it was still mostly locals, and we met a few that were perfectly mannered Englishmen to boot. If you want a non-tourist tourist destination the Prince's Head is what you seek.

Kristen G.

Yelp
Highly recommend if you're a Ted Lasso fan. It's a typical pub- no surprises with the food or drink menu. They have a little table with pictures behind it from the show- while I didn't sit there, I noticed there were about 50 people who went over and took pictures of it (while people were dining at the table). My advice would be to not sit at that particular table if you don't want your picture taken and/or people coming over to you. I've heard the staff don't love the lasso fans but my experience was far from that- they were all enthusiastic and really sweet. If you just moved to London- it's an easy trip out to Richmond, 100% worth it..take a walk by the water after, gorgeous! If you're only in London for a quick trip, it might be a lot if you're trying to squeeze a million things in.

Yelp
Made reservations ahead of time. Wanted to experience the Ted Lasso pub. It was great. Service was excellent. Good ciders and beers. Food was some of the best traditional British food on our trip. Sunday roasts were good as were the fish and chips. Enjoyed the fattoush salad and the desserts. Proper meal!
google avatar

Measley F.

Yelp
Fish and chips were quite quite good with ample malt vinegar, perfect. Cider and lager were good. A few vegan dishes. Location of where our hero, Ted Lasso raises a pint. A nice visit anytime, but if a Lasso fan a must stop.
google avatar

Yelp
Good drinks, good view, good food, great pub! Service was quick and the patrons were all friendly. Lasso approved, so why not you!?

Regine F.

Yelp
Delicious food, beer and cider served at The Prince's Head Pub. Try the salmon or fish and chips. You won't be disappointed. It's a bit pricey, but the portions are generous so you could easily split a plate to save cash. Service varies depending on how busy they are, but the staff was kind when we were there. Fun ambiance whether you're a Ted Lasso fan or not! :)

Yelp
Such an awesome experience. Went because of Ted Lasso but stayed for excellent service, drinks, and food. Historic building and staff couldn't have been nicer. For a traveler, the menu was unique and food was outstanding! Well worth the trip from London

Sandy M.

Yelp
If you get the chance to go here please do. Regard less if you like the show Ted lasso or not. Everything here was great I came in on a Friday around 3pm. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would have been. The staff was really nice and helpful. The ambiance here is the staple for an English pub look. When I ordered a beer the bartender asked if I wanted a large or small and I said small. Assuming it would be in a pint but it's a smaller tall glass which was perfect for me because I didn't want the pint glass. Then I had to ordered the fish and chips here too. I didn't expect much from the food but omg I was proven so wrong because it was the best fish and chips I ever had. If you are ever I London please go here. From where I stayed it was about 40 min ride to get here. Definitely come back here again!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, wonderful atmosphere and friendly people! Thomas was a great waiter. As a tourist you don't feel ridiculous because you like Ted Lasso which is what brought you here.

Yelp
Nothing wrong here really, a good Fullers pub, seconds away from the High Street situated on Richmond Green a pretty little square with grass in the middle where they play cricket. A lot of the pubs in Richmond have been modernised and changed into Gastro pubs with bleached floors and leather sofa's etc. This pub has been renovated but still retains much of its original interior and has a definite pub feel rather than gastro. They point themselves towards gastro in terms of food, so I guess you have the best of both worlds, pub charm and gastro food. As ever the Fullers beer is kept well and the service on my recent visit was courteous and up to speed. Various nooks and cranny's to sit in and the outside area is great in the summer months due to its picturesque location. Busy in the evenings and Sunday's can be busy whilst relaxed and comfortable. Decent honest pub trying hard to elevate it's food.
google avatar

Yelp
Apparently there have been some recent refurbishments at this place. This can sometimes be a bit of a warning sign that things have turned all gastroenteritis on us and the previous charm is no more. However, I think things have remained fairly solid here. It's got a good traditional atmosphere and the location plus food and drinks make for a good choice. It's right at the corner of Richmond Green which is a nice place for anyone or anything to be. Certainly there's quite a lot of choice round here but personally, I prefer this to the Cricketers next door and the food is definitely better. Real ale on tap too.

Yelp
Ahhh, English pubs how I missed you..... and how I missed the very British tradition of it always raining on a bank holiday. So, picnic in Richmond Park cancelled, day in nearest pub promptly scheduled. The Princes Head was leading choice as it had some outside space (foolish optimism prevailed for around an hour) and two of us had been there before and eaten a decent (read: HUGE) roast. It was a nice enough pub in which to spend the day. Fullers usually are imho. The drinks weren't too expensive for Richmond (or am I just used to drinking in the States now, with its sales tax and humongous tip for table service?) and the bar staff were friendly. The wine is drinkable. The food is good value, it's not bad pub fare - who am I kidding, I was desperate for some mushy peas and proper chips. Minus points for their 'no under 21' policy - more the manner (rude) in which it was enforced when my friend arrived with his baby in tow than the policy itself, which I can understand. But there's no need to be mean about it. It must be pretty good as we were somehow here for more than 9 hours. 3 stars.

Qype User (filcha…)

Yelp
The Princes Head is a pretty good Fuller's establishment in an excellent location, right on Richmond green. In summertime, there's not much better than getting a pint of chilled Discovery and lying on the grass, watching the combination of cricketers, football, kids, frisbee etc. and of course, the excellent view of the planes coming in to Heathrow. The points I've scored in this very place on "identify that aircraft challenge"... ah. The staff are good here, the food is standard pub fayre, but nice with it. The interior is a bit sticky, but they have open fires and sofas which are cozy in winter. All in all, not bad.
google avatar

Qype User (Timina…)

Yelp
Decent pub on the corner of Richmond Green, down a lane just off the high street. A large sports pub with lots of space inside and several round wooden tables out on the pavement. Food is average.
google avatar

Jody O.

Yelp
This place was delightful. Their menu (particularly for a pub) was top notch. We went for dinner and shared 4 small plates and each got a side of the baby greens. First of all, presentation was amazing! Second, the food was very good. Service was delightful but a bit on the slow side so best to eat here if you are not in a huge hurry.
google avatar

Tom H.

Yelp
Decent local pub overlooking Richmond Green and playing sports when they're on. They serve okay food and have a few cosy nooks and cranny's to chill out in as well as a few benches outside in the atmospheric pedestrian lane. It's A-OK.

Yelp
Nice enough pub with a few decent real ales nothing special
