The Priory

Just back from our stay at the Priory and what a lovely stay it was! Every part of the house was filled with lovely little touches and beautiful decoration. Our room was just gorgeous and immaculately clean. Sarah is an absolutely fabulous host, so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was also fantastic! We will definitely be back!

What a fabulous stay. Sarah was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and made us really feel at home. The whole house is beautifully decorated with lovely touches both inside and outside the rooms. A very comfortable night's stay, and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The location is also excellent - literally a stone's throw from Middleham Castle, right in the heart of Middleham, and a great base for the Yorkshire Dales. Lovely to watch the local racehorses being exercised through the village in the morning as well.

Just back from a night at the Priory for my birthday. We received a warm welcome by the owner and shown to our room - we had the Green room. Large and beautifully decorated with a stunning view of the back garden. The breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble. We had a stunning walk around the village afterwards, its such a beautiful location. Then, I had a lovely quiet sitdown in the guest lounge. We'd love to return for a longer stay.

Another fantastic weekend away at the Priory in Middleham. This is a home away from home, made feel so welcome by Sarah and Chris. The service is incredible and Sarah was the most accommodating host in every way. Breakfast both days was fantastic in a chilled relaxed environment. I honestly would look no further than the Priory In Middleham and can’t wait to come back.

Had a fabulous one night stay at The Priory a week or so ago, we enjoyed it that much that we've booked again but this time for two nights at the end of October.|We stayed in the Middleham room which was beautiful and so spacious, the room was absolutely spotless. The bathroom was also perfect with a large shower and lovely roll top bath.|Breakfast was lovely, fresh local ingredients and pre ordering the night before worked perfect for us.|The village is great and very picturesque with a couple of great pubs and a lovely traditional fish and chip shop, can highly recommend. The village also has a little food store, couple of antique shops and the fabulous Atrium Vintage Emporium. We bought some great pieces in there and looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks.|Sarah is wonderful and so friendly, a great host, looking forward to seeing her again.

The warm welcome which greeted our arrival set the tone for an enjoyable short stay. Our comfortable bedroom on the top floor, overlooking the castle, was furnished with a stylish ensuite bathroom and rolltop bath. A sitting room on the first floor offered the opportunity to chill out or watch tv, and the breakfast was excellent. We would certainly wish to stay here again.

An oasis of warm welcomes, friendship, delightful rooms and wonderful breakfast.Yes it’s basically a B&B but feels more like a luxurious home. That’s not surprising because Sarah lives here and has renovated and decorated to perfection this old building.We stayed on Tuesday and then again Friday and will stay again.Tuesday my wife needed an extra pillow….. Friday no need to ask Sarah had remembered.Such little things make a huge difference and Sarah has a huge success on her hands. |This is one of those places that makes a trip or holiday totally memorable. Just had a two night stay here and The Priory is stunning!! Rooms are amazing, great breakfast with many options and to top it all off the owners are lovely and so helpfully. Will definitely look to stay here again when in the area as it is also a prefect location to explore.
