The Priory

Just had a two night stay here and The Priory is stunning!! Rooms are amazing, great breakfast with many options and to top it all off the owners are lovely and so helpfully. Will definitely look to stay here again when in the area as it is also a prefect location to explore.

An oasis of warm welcomes, friendship, delightful rooms and wonderful breakfast.Yes it’s basically a B&B but feels more like a luxurious home. That’s not surprising because Sarah lives here and has renovated and decorated to perfection this old building.We stayed on Tuesday and then again Friday and will stay again.Tuesday my wife needed an extra pillow….. Friday no need to ask Sarah had remembered.Such little things make a huge difference and Sarah has a huge success on her hands. |This is one of those places that makes a trip or holiday totally memorable. We stayed with friends for three nights in this excellent guest house. Spotless and very tastefully decorated accommodation with great breakfasts and a host that could not do enough for us. Our room, the Middleham, was perfectly situated for viewing the horses in the morning as it overlooks the street. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Priory as a base if you intend visiting the area. Many thanks to Sarah for making our stay so memorable.

A truly wonderful welcome by Sarah to a beautiful B&B in the heart of Middleham! Friendly, helpful, accommodating and spotless! We had a great stay , the most comfortable beds and pillows! Amazing stay here, the rooms so well decorated and stocked. Such an eye for design throughout property. Lovely view of caste and listening to horses on a morning. Such a good breakfast with so much choice. Sarah was a brilliant host and so helpful. Would 100% recommend!

A beautiful, elegant property with a stunning view of the castle and a comfortable sitting room as well as a very large, comfortable bedroom. The breakfast was outstanding!

This bed and breakfast is the best we’ve stayed in. The host, Sarah, could not do enough for us. She even did some ironing for us and made us a pack up and flask for our day ahead.|The room was beautiful, we stayed in the blue room. It had a dressing room, beautiful copper bath and a lovely comfortable king size bed, plus a fabulous view of Middleham castle and we could watch the race horses each morning going up to the gallopps. |We could come and go as we pleased. The breakfast was amazing.|We would recommend anyone to stay. |Thank you Sarah you made our stay truly wonderful. 😊

It's rare that rooms match an establishment's online presence, but The Priory in Middleham is as lovely as pictured! Our room and the common areas were sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and odor free. Our bed was comfortable with crisp white linens. Every special detail that makes a positive impression was attended to, and the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful right down to steaming hot milk for my coffee. Quaint table settings included dog bowls with sliced sausages for the furry traveling companions of other guests. And what a view outside the front windows: gorgeous race horses trotting by each morning on their way to the Gallops and beautiful Middleham Castle right across the street. Best of all was the warm and sincere welcome and attention by owner Sarah. Treat yourself to a stay at The Priory.
