The Promenade

This is a nice beach facing hotel and restaurant. The food here is delicious. Everything we ordered here was simply fantastic. They play really good instrumental music that elevates the mood of the already scenic environment. The music is neither too loud, nor too feeble. It's just humming in the background. The service staff is very courteous and playful towards children. All and all, we had a wonderful time here.

The property is right on the beach. Got some amazing views even from the rooms which are not sea facing. They got two restaurants and food is amazing. The bar is also good. Outdoor seating of the restaurant is amazing. The room service and the room infrastructure has scope of improvement.

Had a good stay here. Will remember the breakfast spread for a very long time. It was proper French breakfast buffet, loved it. Great location but make your own parking space if you are heading here in your car. Rooms do smell of a old wood when you enter. Staff are polite and addressed to my issue and changed the room. Overall thanks for making my vacation a memorable one.

We booked this last minute after our original accommodation in Pondicherry disappointed. The hotel is located on the Promenade overlooking the beach with sea views, with the old lighthouse and Gandhi statue next door.||We had a twin room, which was super clean, had an ensuite bathroom, wardrobe, and safe.||The staff here were great, so helpful and avcommodating. Breakfast was included and consisted of buffet style local dishes, made to order egg dishes as well as an amazing selection of pastries and cakes.||The hotel also had 3 bars and 2 restaurants with a restaurant and bar on the rooftop. There was also a small outside swimming pool, which was well maintained. We loved to sit in the garden with a drink in the late afternoon watching the world go by. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Location is good but the Hotel needs improvement.|When you enter the hotel first thing you are greeted by is bad stanch smell of open sewer. |Service was very slow and staff lacks pleasantry. I believe it needs some lively atmosphere.|Breakfast bar is supposed to be opened by 7.00 but the first day of our stay it wasn’t properly set up till 7.30.

Very stupid management. Rooms are smelly. Breakfast poor. Washroom has no proper drainage. Service very poor. To top it all super high prices for room and food. Don't waste your hard earned money.

Not worth the money spent Though location is great the hotel seems to be minting money only based on this advantage. Rooms are very old and only 2 to 3 front side rooms have clear beach view. We were 3 adults but were not provided anything extra like towel, basic toiletries( which were of avg quality), tea/coffee sachets or even bedding so had to call up again and again. Bathroom is so old that there are molds and paint peeling. Found a cockroach too. The partition bet counter top and shower area is narrow and water seeps outside the shower area. We had to point out for a bathroom mat but house keeping only put a napkin cum towel which used to get drenched and bathroom floor would be wet throughout. Wash basin and WC pots were stained though clean The setee in the main room was a hard wooden flat surface and we asked for mattress so that we cd use it during day time for sitting. Only one old dusty chair in room. Hot water jar was inside a cupboard which had no electric panel. So evertime to remove and keep on the writing table, use and had to keep back so that our bags cd be kept on that table. Very inconvinient.The TV panel area unnecessary wasted wth some design. Instead they cd make space for keeping things. Cupboard too had very few racks so cd be used only by 1 or 2 persons. Overall a great disappointment for the price and feel room shd not be more than 6 to 7 k considering beach location. Otherwise doesn't deserve to pay 3-4k. However bkfst was very good and tasty. Didn't try any other food due to exorbitant prices( not less than 600 to 700 per dish)

The hotel on general is s good and the staff is friendly. However they are a bit laid back on making you feel comfortable. The room service is sloppy and they don’t even bother to get your fruit basket or cookie tray refilled in case you’re staying for a couple of days. The front desk manager is helpful and ensures that he makes a note of your needs. Restaurant staff is energetic and friendly.. room service front desk and house keeping needs to improve.
