I recently stopped by this charming brunch and bistro spot, and it immediately stood out for its welcoming atmosphere. The space feels bright and cozy — the kind of place where you could linger over a meal with friends or simply enjoy a quiet moment to yourself. The service was attentive without being rushed, which added to the relaxed vibe. Their menu offers a thoughtful variety, from fresh-baked pastries and hearty brunch plates to lighter options for those just looking for a quick bite. I picked up a croissant, a warm chai, and a loaf of sourdough bread to go, and everything was delicious — the croissant was buttery and flaky, the chai had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness, and the sourdough was baked beautifully with that satisfying tang. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back and explore more of the menu. A wonderful little gem for anyone who loves good food in a pleasant setting.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant thanks to Miss Hailey’s outstanding service. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us warmly and made sure we felt welcome. Throughout the meal, she was attentive without being intrusive, checking in at just the right moments. Miss Hailey was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made sure any special requests were handled smoothly. Her friendly attitude and genuine care really elevated our dining experience. Thank you, Miss Hailey, for making our visit so pleasant — we’ll definitely be back!❤️

The mala wings were amazingly good and so are the pizzas. There’s one for one on drinks and a little complicated to order though service staff will assist and make it a breeze. Coconut latte cake is refreshingly different and I would order that again. Food is awesome if you are looking for cafe dining option. Came on Wed evening and it was quiet .

Such a nice place to sit down for a cup of coffee & have a delicious pastry! But couldn't do that today as I was just taking away a cup of delicious coffee & will definitely back! Staff were extremely friendly too!

Had a wonderful experience at The Providore (Mandarin Gallery). The food was fresh and flavorful, especially the pastries which were absolutely delightful 🥐. The service staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, perfect for brunch or a casual catch-up ☕✨. Definitely one of my favourite spots in town — highly recommended!

We had a very good snack here at The Providore while waiting for an appointment. This is our second time returning to this restaurant since our last trip to Singapore about a year ago. They use very good beef in their burgers and their burgers were cooked perfectly. Our server Eezy was charming and very attentive to our needs.

Google
I frequent the place quite often. Service is always pleasant and tonight Eezy was attentive as usual The restaurant's concept has changed under the new management. I'm not sure how that will evolve over time. The Set Dinner was good value at $99 for 2 pax. One thing i miss is the ice cream sandwich dessert. Please bring it back.

I had a wonderful dining experience thanks to being served by “Bala” a petite sweet young lady with a bright smile. She was warm, welcoming and attentive. We saw that she was diligent and professional, there must have been great training! It’s great to see hardworking young individuals in this society! Lovely ambience, service and night, will be coming back again!

Yelp
Great coffee and one of the few places that warms up your danish (which was excellent), and to top it off, highly attentive staff.

Yelp
Had potential, but left on a sour note. My family & I sat down to eat and while we all ordered food, 2/8 people had to dine elsewhere due to dietary restrictions and bring their food back to join everyone else. Immediately, they were asked to go elsewhere (outside) as outside food was not allowed despite an over $250 bill. In addition, the servers knew no knowledge of the food when asked what was in an item. Two negatives do not equal a positive in this case!

Yelp
Located upstairs on the 2nd FL of another sleek shopping complex around the area, this was a pleasant spot to wind away in. The lighting is a cool soft-hue but sufficient and the shelves have a neat organized array of stuff. I had a quest of looking for different chai to try around the island and I was able to check this one off of my very non-solid list, lol. It was mentioned that it's made in-house so those are always curious to me... It was a nice chai latte and also had nice presentation from the simple art and the popsicle stick laid on top with some sort of spice dashed on it for taste (cinnamon, nutmeg... not sure, could also be the chai powder). Whatever it was, I just dumped it in, stirred it up and drank it. Perhaps like anything with powder, it's best enjoyed warm and regularly stirred, 'else you swallow clumps waiting for you at the end. ;) Anywho, this was a nice subtle--if not lacking--chai latte. I probably should've checked about cinnamon and nutmeg [and sugar], which I always enjoy mixed in. Staff was good and felt welcoming. The chairs at the window bar, where I sat, are sort of neat molded wood stool types. The backrest has a height adjustment but the wing nut screwed on wanted Hulk strength to loosen... ;/ These types of wood chairs are SO comfy with the right setting.

Yelp
3.5 stars, had stopped here for a coffee. Decent brew, good ambiance, Ok spot for a coffee if you're tired of shopping on Orchard and need a break!

Yelp
3.5 stars. Easy brunch / lunch spot with several branches in the city. Had the crab pasta which was surprisingly delicious (didn't expect a good pasta from a brunch place) - right balance of spicy and savory with a generous amount of crab. A good spot for meeting up with friends. Vegetarian-friendly.

Yelp
Situated right at the entrance with beautiful people sitting and eating, there must be something special about this place! I wanna look beautiful too and boy, I wanna look cool. Luckily there's space and they're opened till 10pm. It's expensive wanting to sit here and look cool.. I gave the coffee a miss because I'm not shelling out 9 bucks for coffee I'm unsure of. The food is good.. Expensive but...you are paying for location to be seen. And it isn't that bad.. The food I mean. Had the papardalle pasta ($24)with slow roasted beef cheeks, stewed in a ragout style and little kales and mushrooms. The atmosphere is seen to be seen and somebody needs to tell them they need to equalize their music.. Too dang sharp to hang out there now :( They offer lots of variety in snacks and coffee. Would I come back? Nah.. Not really. To hang out with friends yeah I could.

Yelp
Sunday brunch, the holy grail of the weekends. If you're looking for a well-located place, this is it! Ride the escalator located outside of Mandarin Gallery (on the side nearer to H&M) and you're magically transported right to The Providore's doorstep. Definitely magical because once you step through those doors, you leave the humidity of Singapore's weather outside - which was what we were looking for on a really sunny and warm Sunday afternoon. We were quickly seated as there was no queue and relatively little patrons when we arrived - there was a queue when we left, so my advice is to really get there a little earlier though the accepted is a late Sunday brunch. All I have to say is the early bird catches the worm! Service was quick as well - we ordered drinks first, and subsequently they actually came round thrice to ask if we were ready to order food! Iced Latte as usual for me, while the partner had a Musk Earl Grey Tea. The iced latte was nothing to shout about, it's just habit that I have my morning coffee. The musk earl grey tea smelt divine and tasted great as well - earl grey tea served with slices of citrus (lime, lemon and orange slices to be exact). After much deliberation, I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese - it was yummy, but overall a disappointment. While the lobster and pasta tasted great in the cheese sauce, it was cheese sauce. My standards of great mac and cheese start and end with the macaroni being engulfed in gooey cheesy goodness. This one lacked that, the cream sauce was thin with a hint of blue cheese - a more creamy rather than cheesy version of what would've been perfect because the sauce really tasted awesome. The partner had the Ham and Cheese Toastie, which was totally awesome - made me regret not ordering the steak sandwich instead because of a ham and cheese could be elevated like that, I would really loved to have tried what they could do with steak and bread. Unfortunately, we probably will not be back here unless a twist of fate brings us back to The Providore - he found this place for brunch at 3am in the morning through Google and glad to say, he decided on his dish based on photos posted by fellow Yelpers! Overall, it was a good experience with speedy service but I wouldn't be back here again for brunch - maybe to buy alcohol as they have a selection of wines and spirits that aren't frequently seen around.

Yelp
Decent food let down by appalling service. A minor seating issue mishandled lead to a conversation with the "manager" who exhibited no EQ (or frankly, IQ). If I owned the place I'd start by sacking him. A good post script is that the atmosphere & service at wild honey (upstairs) were far better

Yelp
More of a cafe than a restaurant but with restaurant prices. I suppose the location is nice and it does have a nice balcony overlooking orchard. The pasta was a bit watery. It just missed an opportunity. It needs to be thicker or richer in some way. Salad was ok and no complaints. I would come back to try their coffee and dessert as I like the venue as a cafe. Not so impressed with the food so far. Actually their meats and cheeses look nice as they have a deli corner. The service is so so. They forgot our water and give us another table's bill.

Yelp
Terrible service. We got there at about 10:20p. They said we have to finish by 10:40p. But in reality, they close at 11p. I guess they just wanted us out of their hair. We ordered the Lemon Meringue cake, Cookies and Cream Cheesecake, Rocky Road, and Chocolate ice cream cookie. The only item that was nice was the Rocky Road. The Lemon Meringue cake was alright. but the cookies and cream cheesecake was horrible. it was very bland. we didn't think they used oreo for the crumbs. not sure what it was. some knock-off oreo maybe? chocolate ice cream cookie was non-descript. the ice cream was very bland.

Yelp
Had the Breakfast Board-prosciutto, poached eggs, goat cheese, and avocados. Delicious!

Yelp
The Iced Cappuccino is disappointing. The coffee was bland as the taste of the coffee was not strong, even the milk taste wasn't apparent. The Flat White's blend came from Toby's Estate, so you know what to expect. Great coffee! The Roasted New Potatoes with Rosemary and Romesco Sauce was well sauteed and roasted to perfection, its enough to be eaten on its own. Have it, however, with the Romesco sauce for a mild spicy and tangy taste. The Spatchcock Chicken is a chicken that had their backbone removed so that it can be flattened before roasting it with lemon & thyme, garlic & shallots, verjus & Creme Fraiche sauce. This resulted in a crispy skin and each piece of chicken tasting juicy and flavourful. It is one that must be ordered here! The Red Velvet Cake had disappointed a bit. The cake did not crumble easily, the taste of the cake were alright, but the taste of butter/cheese was in near absence in the cream used. Nonetheless, the quantity was enough to delight both of us.

Yelp
If you crave for refreshment coffee and some sweet treat, this place is recommended. Coffee was nice, flavoury, not too acid. Ambience was nice, good service. I like their cakes and ice cream too

Yelp
I went here twice. I feel their food is better than jones n they serves decent cuppa. I really like their muesli w yogurt, n I've tried their portobello mushroom w sourdough bread which the bread is not to my liking. I also tried their red velvet cake which is dissapointing

Yelp
great brunch place and a very cool spot to eat and lounge in general. spanish baked eggs - hearty, tasty and loved the bread and small skillet it came in the club - SO stinking good! the bacon was crispy and the amount of chicken was sizable. i would come back for this again and again. pate - was only ok, i prefer my pate to be creamier. however, i liked that they have a wide variety of cured meats to choose from and i'm very curious about their other options. all in all, really enjoyed it and one of the few places i've had a good western meal.

Yelp
I am a fan, the food is excellent and healthy. It is a tad expensive but I would not expect otherwise given the quality and location of this place. A random find that I warmly recommend to those who love simple and high quality meals and olive oil.

Yelp
This place is just around the corner from the office, so an obvious choice. It is a nice place to sit: you see the tout-Singapore parading by - or at least part of it. One must say that the serving staff is very friendly (although when I asked what time it was, one gave me the Philippines time ;) Not cheap but this is not a cheap location. Count about 16 S$ for a sandwich. The quality is variable: I had a few times the cheese/ham sandwich which is quite good - a bit better than a croque monsieur. A few days ago, I had the slow baked salmon sandwich which unfortunately was veeeery slow (a group of local women may have been the reason). But it also tasted poor: the tapenade was barely noticeable, the salmon had no taste and the other things - what were they again?

Yelp
Great brunch food with a view of Orchard's hustle and bustle. Service is a bit hectic, though, and it can get a bit hot sitting outside.

Yelp
The food was generally ok. We went early so there wasn't much of a crowd. Service of good was pretty fast but they dun replenish the water. The waitress were pretty nice and friendly

Li Z.

Yelp
Not impressed by food. Planned to sit by the balcony to do some coffee time and read my papers, but the waiter gave me an inside seat by the window with high chair not comfortable at all. Quickly finished my cappuccino and salads, and left. Will not come back. Price is high compared with its service and food.

Yelp
We ordered poached eggs, Eggs Benedict and coffee. The coffee was very good, but the eggs were very disappointing - overcooked and dry. Unacceptable when the eggs cost $20.
google avatar

Yelp
Well, service is terrible, food is limited, beverages are abundant, and prices are astronomical for the lack of care and ambience. No love given, no love received!

T J.

Yelp
This place looks nice from the outside. The Providore charges more and gives you less than the competition that it is so obviously copying. Case in point: $12.50 (!!!) for two (of the smallest I've ever seen) eggs on ONE slice of (insufficiently) toasted bread that is cut twice to look like two pieces. An insidious move that fools no one. The BLT was tiny and overpriced. We have way too many better choices for the same fare better executed, as the other reviewer mentioned. Good review, Irene was overly generous about them not being able to, as she says, muck up breakfast. For some, Toast can be a difficult thing to master.

Yelp
After reading wonderful reviews we thought this would be a fun place to try. We were quickly sat which seemed to be a good start on the perfect Saturday morning. After taking our order with relatively few hiccups the poor and unbelievable service started. The table next to us waited and hour for drinks which never came. As we sipped our coffee for the first hour I decided to check on the status of our food. A very wonderful server (I think named Edward who can def find a better place to work with his warm character) asked if we would still like our food as there had been a problem in the kitchen. He went to get the manager at my request as he checked the timing of our order. The manager first refused to speak to me because he was busy. Then informed me it was my problem because I came at a busy time. When I said it had been an hour and I had seen other tables turn over multiple times he yelled "well if you want your food I need to go work". When the food did arrive one dish was over cooked, one was undercooked and there were egg shells in the eggs. I asked for the manager and he yelled "what do you want?" I asked for the card to his supervisor and he yelled fine. Edward tried to apologize as the manager stormed off. We did not stay to eat eggshells....

Yelp
The menu looks delicious and was full of promise, but my dinner here fell flat. We had the lobster mac and cheese, tuna tartare, choux buns, mackerel crostini, beetroot and goat cheese, and stuffed pork. The flavors for the most part were there and the presentation was good, but nearly everything was overcooked (with the exception of the beet which was cut too thick and not quite roasted long enough) - the lobster in the mac and cheese, the mackerel on the crostini, and the pecorino stuffed pork were overcooked and really dry. Decent service by Singapore standards. I also took a peek at the desserts and they really didn't look up to snuff - too rough around the edges and not appealing at all. If I had to choose between here or Foodology for some western small plates, I'd pick Foodology by a mile - better value, more extensive menu, and better execution. That said, I'm willing to give them another try once they worked out the kinks. Breakfast looks promising and should be more difficult to muck up.
