The restaurant itself is cute and has nice atmosphere.
I just don’t think, however, this place is worthy the money you pay.
The portions are tiny and def not cheap.
I ordered a gnocchi with extra chicken on top of it. I paid almost $10 for the extra chicken, and when the meal arrived, I thought they had forgotten my chicken… my mistake, it was there… probably 20g of chicken hidden in the sauce, that I barely could taste or see…
Considering the price I paid for the extra chicken, the amount they gave me was offensive. A kg of chicken breast is $8.50/kg at the local supermarket! For the price I paid, I would have expected to at least see the chicken on my plate.
The menu said the sauce came with basil and indeed… it came with ONE basil leaf on top (this is for a herb you can grow in a pot in your garden).
There was barely any cheese on the pasta either and when I asked for a little bit more cheese, I was told I needed to pay extra for it.
I am tired of restaurants using inflation as excuse for increasing prices and decreasing quality/quantity. Although I understand there are price pressures, it is also quite evident when restaurants are just trying to cut costs to maximise profits. The impression it gives is this restaurant is an example of owners being cheap and using inflation as excuse to maximise profits. Simple and plain.
