The Quiet Site

This has to be the best campsite we have visited and each time we return it gets better. We only stayed the one night but we used all the facilities and as usual it was a perfect night away. The pizzas were amazing and they were enjoyed in the pub on site with its roaring fire. The Gingerbread houses are a fantastic place to stay with the shower and extra kitchen space, great for a family. We can’t wait to rerun again soon.

We stayed in our own caravan. We were amazed that we had our own water and electric supply right on our pitch. The WiFi connection was perfect and the site was really quiet. Sampling the bar with live music was a real treat as were the pizzas. Loving dogs we were happy to see them in the bar and made welcome. The facilities were excellent, very clean and well maintained. In all, for us, we thought that it was the best UK site we've ever stayed at over our 20+,years of caravanning. Thank you to everyone.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Quiet Site. I stayed in a glamping burrow with one of my grandsons, while the rest of the family stayed in a campervan. The burrow was very warm and cosy, and even had its own toilet , washbasin and hot water, microwave and kettle. |The on-site bar and shop were excellent, as was the singer on the Sunday evening. An excellent, well run site with very good facilities and helpful staff. Particularly good for winter camping.

Worth going just for the showers! Best camping showers ever seen, so hot and powerful. Just what we needed after a few days on the road! Views are great, nice scenic walks just down the lane. Staff all super friendly, Mel and Owen at the bar were lovely and helpful. They had a great live musician and nice warm fire. Will be back one day!

Finland calling, our 12 points go to Quiet site Ullswater. We travelled with our caravan 4,000 miles visitig many camping places. We booked 7 nights from 27-08-24. |This is the best site we have visited, it has big caravan slots, clean tidy and well looked after. Staff were very friendly,and helpful. Toilet/shower blocks were very modern spacious and clean.We enjoyed the morning big breakfast buns at the quiet bite on site, they also do pizza in the evenings and go into the bar to sit eating them with a couple of drinks. Thank you and hope to see you next year.

This place is 5 star through and through. We honestly had an amazing time from arriving to leaving. In fact I did not want to leave here it’s beautiful waking up sitting on the bench outside and taking in the views while having breakfast. We stayed in the gingerbread house. Absolutely faultless. Everything you need and heating is always on so lovely and warm. Bed space huge! Stone floors. Lovely kitchen area. Bathroom lovely and love the decor! Brought our Labrador. So pet friendly. Lovely walks around. We drove into Keswick which is very pet friendly also! Really enjoyed the whole trip will definitely be back 🥰

The Quiet Site is the best campsite we have stayed at, hands down! Toilet and shower facilities are top class, really helpful and attentive staff and the location is beautiful and quiet. Cosy pub on site with option to eat fantastic wood fired pizzas in your motorhome or in the bar....5 star and we thoroughly recommend. Stephen and Joanne, Belfast.

Stayed at The Quiet Site for a two night break in one of their cosy Glamping Burrows. This stay was originally planned as a break to celebrate our 10yr anniversary but we decided not to leave the kids at home as they loved our previous visit so much last summer.|After arriving and unpacking we discovered that I had left our 5 sleeping bags at home. I went to reception and the female member of staff was amazing after hearing of my dilemma and possible impending divorce. She rallied around and sorted us out with a bundle containing all the necessities to keep a family warm for our short stay. Unbelievable service to go that extra mile and really appreciated.||We spent time in the bar and enjoyed the great hospitality from staff and thoroughly enjoyed the live singer. Kids loved the breakfast and pizza especially after a long hike to Aira Force and back. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Will be returning soon as a family favourite.
