This site was by far our favourite on our road trip. The staff were on point meeting and greeting us when we arrived. We were taken to our pitch and electric and water fully explained. Love the Eco friendly part of this place taking deposits for cups as there is zero waste. The quiet bite pizzas were one of the best weve shared. Breakfast was excellent too. Bar staff friendly and good banter. We will recommend this site. FIVE STARS.

We’d been recommended this site by a few people and don’t know why we left it so long to visit! The site is immaculate, the staff are super friendly and helpful, and they really have thought of everything. We love that the site is strongly focused on sustainability and, of course, that it’s wonderfully quiet! It’s so reassuring to know that all your neighbours are respectful and that you’ll 100% get a peaceful night’s sleep. It’s also super dog-friendly — the dog bath/shower has hot running water, which is a massive bonus as most only have cold. We can’t recommend it enough. Thank you, team — we’ve already rebooked!

What a wonderful site- they have thought of everything! We stayed for a couple of nights when it was rainy but their fabulous facilities meant we could dodge the raindrops. We used the wonderful bar with a roaring woodburner and a cosy village pub feel, with live music on a Sunday evening and the games room where we had several rounds of pool. The first night we had a gorgeous pizza rustled up in 5 minutes in their wood fired oven, they had a well stocked shop but best of all was the campers kitchen. It was well equipped and there are tables and chairs, fridges and freezers, a lending library of books, games and DVD's. We cooked our evening meal there and played cards and chatted with other campers.|We had a fully serviced pitch at a very reasonable price and the shower and w.c. units were warm and immaculately clean. What a fabulous place we will be back !!

Our second visit this year and definitely our favourite site in the Lakes and probably UK. Great fully serviced pitches on this well kept site. The shop has a range of local food and drink, there’s a lovely old bar and some great food at the kiosk freshly made for breakfast and good pizza in the evening. There are great walks on the doorstep and Pooley Bridge and Glenridding nearby.

Stayed here twice now, both times the staff have been wonderful, the bar and the small cafe type thing called the quiet bite are lovely and serve good food. The bacon sausage buns are the best ove ever had anywhere and thats without any sauces. The washroom facilities are clean and tidy. The second time I stayed in a hobbit hole glamping pod they upgraded me to which was really kind of them. The hobbit holes are insulated with heating, their own toilet and wash basin and plenty of plug sockets. With a lovely view of the lake from the covered porch. Will definitely keep coming back here.

This was my 2nd visit to the Quiet Site and this time stayed in a Glamping Cabin. It was positioned in a perfect spot with stunning views of Little Mell Fell. The cabin has everything you need for your stay and very comfortable and clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Quiet Bar has a pleasant atmosphere with a good selection of drinks. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here again and can't wait to return. The Quiet Site is one of my happy places 😊

We have been going to The Quiet Site for years it’s not that to long a drive in campervan with our cherished little dogs fora couple of days.Really love the place it’s scenery is amazing, the views of the lake from the Campervan are Stunning. They have a van that opens in the morning for breakfast and pizza at night if you fancy that. There is a bar with a big log burner lots of chairs round it to sit and have a drink with the dogs of course. Reason friendly staff , nice atmosphere. Very chilled. Would highly recommend this place Mr Mrs Sher Scotland 😁

My fiance booked this for my birthday via Virgin experience. On receiving the gift we upgraded it to two nights instead of 1, and also added our two dogs. We had email confirmation about a week before to explain we were given a complimentary upgrade from camping pod to gingerbread house. This helped a lot as we didn't need to bring so much stuff. Thank you for the upgrade, it truly made my 30th birthday celebrations that much more special. The gingerbread house is spacious, has stunning views and is very comfortable. We were a little worried about the site rules of dogs barking etc as our dogs can be, let's say, temperamental in that department. But the atmosphere and friendlyness around the site really helped our dogs feel settled and they were so well behaved, we are still a little shocked ha. Bar is so warm and cozy with reasonable prices drinks. Quiet bite pizza are really delicious and again, reasonably priced. Lovely dog walking fields next to site as well which the dogs loved. EV charges on site which are a little cheaper than your usual public charges so that was a bonus. We also hired a boat on the lake which was such an enjoyable day! Staff around the campsite are welcoming, friendly, and keep it clean always. We will definitely be back and we are truly greatful for such a special break for our first time in the Lake District.

Yelp
This is a brilliant site for people who don't want the parties, the crowds and hustle and bustle of some other sites. The site is what it is called and this is what attracted us. Don't get me wrong or think I'm being boring as we like to party and have a good laugh as much as anyone else it's just we have an 18 month old baby and therefore this quieter site therefore suits us. The site has many awards under its belt and also has its own pub what is an absolute must. The bar is an old barn and all are welcome including dogs. It has pretty good facilities including good showers and the on site shop gets you away with any essentials you may have forgotten about. The views are good over Ullswater what is about 1 mile down hill. In general the site is small, low key, dog friendly, not over run by kids, quiet site and in a good location.

Yelp
Pleasantly supprised. This is a quaint little site providing ample room for tents mobile caravans statics and camping pods. There is a pub on site which sells local beer and lager however the owners are missing out on the fact they could make a mint if they started selling bar food or meals. Our weekend was really nice however there were quite a lot of children running around the site making noise during the day when there is a playing field provided. I havent a problem with this but the parents should have more respect for other people who are here to relax. Overall we liked the site and will definately be coming again. Close to pooley bridge and penrith. Keswick is easy half hour drive.

Yelp
Not really being a fan of camping my wife and I decided to give it a go and booked a Pod for a midweek break at the end of July. The only let down was the weather, the campsite was extremely friendly and the facility were very clean. To make me even happier there was a superb bar on site that sold local real ale. I'm still not convinced that camping is for me, but if I'm going to give it another try I'll certainly head back to The Quiet Site.
