The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat (Templepatrick, County Antrim) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat doesn’t do quiet luxury. It does character, cocktails, and the occasional disco ball over a Roman bath. Tucked into Templepatrick, just 20 minutes from Belfast, this 33-room boutique stay mixes country-inn charm with Soho House swagger: wrought iron beds, Belfast-designed wallpaper, and a different hand-painted rabbit in every room. Outside, the lakeside spa hums with music and prosecco-fueled laughter. Add in wood-fired bathtubs, munchie trays, and neon signage, and you’ve got a grown-up playground that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and is all the better for it." - Tablet Hotels

The spa is a must visit. Everything was beautiful and amazing, except for the bed. Stylish design throughout. The spa treatments were some of the best we've sampled on the island. The spa has a very cool set of thermal suits that we skipped because we had the botanical bathing experience which was a private and awesome hottub with a qr code to order cocktails to. Spa was the reason to come. Service was top tier too. Very attentive, welcoming and kind. Food was good in the restaurant. Starters were disappointing, mains and dessert good. They could accommodate gluten free options, but no allergen info on the menu. Live music in the bar was a delight. We had one of the rooms with the outdoor bathtub. Room was cool. Bed has a raised fence at the end so if you're tall you won't fit. Pillows are terrible, bring your own if you can

This was my first visit to the Rabbit and was an overnight stay. Check-in was slow as only one person was on, and the same wait happened later when collecting our room key after the spa.|The spa is lovely and well designed. At first it felt overcrowded, but by late afternoon it was calmer and much more enjoyable. Cocktails were nice but the wasps were a real issue, especially around the pebble beach. I understand they’re difficult to manage, but wasp traps or covers for drinks could help. A few areas also needed a tidy (cups lying around, flies in the top hot tub, leaves in corners).|The room was fantastic—modern, spotless, with a great shower, fridge, kettle, and thoughtful touches. The bed was so comfortable and we had an amazing sleep. The only disappointment was the water by the bedside. Most hotels provide complimentary bottled water, but here we only discovered after checkout that it was chargeable. It wasn’t in the minibar with other priced items, and nothing indicated otherwise. |Dinner was excellent—friendly staff, generous portions, delicious food, and a great wine deal with the early bird menu. Breakfast was also very good and fresh, though service was a little slow (about 30 minutes for fry to arrive).|After our stay I contacted the manager about an issue and I have to commend them—they responded quickly, were understanding, and extremely helpful. Their approach really made a difference and left a positive impression.

Me and my wife spent one night here From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with a smile and a lovely receptionist explained everything to us in a polite and professional manner as it was our first time in the hotel. Staff in the spa were also friendly and attentive. Must say the restaurant staff were exceptional first class service. Food was great.

Beautiful spa hotel, friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. We got a free upgrade which meant our room included an outdoor bath and wood burner stove! The spa itself is fantastic and although smaller than their sister hotel has everything you need but there isn't any need to walk around so much. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is always very relaxed. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent and they have a very diverse menu at a reasonable enough price (for a hotel at least). This was our second stay here and won't be our last, thank you for making it so enjoyable ☺️

We enjoyed every second of our stay. The staff from check-in, bar, spa, dinning and the next morning for breakfast couldn't have been any nicer. Really friendly like they knew us personally. Facilities and food we're perfect.

My wife and I stayed at The Rabbit Hotel for our anniversary, and it was a truly memorable experience. The spa facilities were absolutely fantastic – despite the hotel being fully booked, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. A real highlight was being able to order drinks straight to the hot tub via the QR code, which added a fun and relaxing touch.|Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, with a great atmosphere to match. The rooms are comfortable, stylish, and quirky, with the added bonus of easy access to the spa.|Overall, The Rabbit Hotel is the perfect mix of relaxation, great food, and unique character. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary and will definitely be back.

A La Cart Meal in restaurant on Saturday night - what a diappointment. My husband had the prawn dish as starter, which was very good. Then for mains, I had Roast Supreme of Chicken (tarragon sauce with mushrooms and baby boiled potatos). Chicken itself, excellent, tarragon sauce (sickening) and two, (if that) baby boiled potatoes were cut up very finely and amoung the mushrooms. For £27.00 over priced and would not order again - sauce just over powered dish and needed more potatoe.|My husbands Flax Fed Rib eye steak at £46 - a tough steak with lambs lettuce chucked on the side. Chips to accompany were £5.50. Such a let down for that price of rib eye steak, it should have 'melted in your mouth. We ate but did not enjoy. Our waiter 'Daniel' asked if we enjoyed our meal when we replied, he left to speak to restaurant manager, Nico. We advised Nico that quality of steak was not acceptable, especially at these prices and sauce on chichen dish not to my taste. Also prices were extortionate for what we had received and they were losing many local customers because of these prices/standard of food. Also menu did not offer a great selection of dishes though did have 6 pizzas at a supposedly A La Cart restaurant. Nico's reply was on the point of being rude by name dropping a local customer (very unprofessional) who was in every sunday for his sunday lunch, well the same person certainly was not a customer tonight purchasing a tough steak. We know this individual, who we will be speaking to for his real comments!! We can see now why the Hilton at Templepatrick has got so popular and you can book a table at The Rabbit, last minute, easily on a Saturday night.

The family enjoyed a meal together in the Rabbit. We were warmly greeted by Nico, taken to our table, drinks were ordered and menus presented. Good choice of menu and child’s menu. The whole family commented on the excellence of the food, tastefully presented, and the professionalism of the staff. It is reassuring that staff had a minute to listen to the young 5 year old and paid particularly attention to his needs. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening. We will return.
