The Rad (St Radegund Pub)

First visit back here today since the refurbishment. Was warmly welcomed by the landlord who was super helpful in steering us in the right direction of what beer to choose from an extensive list of craft beers. We were encouraged to try before we buy, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend a visit to this small gem of a pub. The two beers I tried were outstanding and reasonably priced. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Since the new ownership and refurb finish I'm happy to see the Rad open again. The beer was good ... and that's it. Unfortunately, it's devoid of any character, the bar staff are more interested in their iPad and it's always empty... Shame to see the Rad fall into hole again.

Totally mad place. Very local and filled with friendly characters it felt a bit like being in an episode of the league of gentlemen. But £2 a pint is ridiculous. This place even has its own wiki page!!!

Expensive & noisy. Interesting range of beers though. (Returning 6 weeks later, they had several excellent, reasonably priced beers. But the acoustics are still an issue.....)

I prefer the place since the refurbishment, since you could barely move or find a seat prior. Their beers are great and varied, with a couple of guest ales. Only good as a watering hole really, but characterful. If you like casual running, join the Monday night "hash" at 7pm!

nice little spot. great selection of craft beers & very friendly service, though a little on the pricey side, particularly considering you’re only getting a 2/3 pint!

A very cosy and friendly pub, tucked away a little out of the town centre! They have a good selection of drinks with very reasonable pricing, and we were pleasantly surprised to be given a student discount too. It's rather small inside so not great for big groups, but a lovely place for a few people to spend an evening.

My first visit but it won't be my last. Small and friendly, a great half of stout and friendly staff. It is small but unless a couple of rugby teams pour in together that's not a major problem.
