Google
Indonesian food at the highest quality. Friendly staff. The décor needs updating. Lighting, plastering, and lambrisering to give a more colonial atmosphere would add to the gezelligheid.

Some of the best Indonesian food that can be found in the Hague. The owner and service are top-notch and it has been a staple for me to visit over the years.

Google
Authentic Indonesian. Go a la carte, ask them not to hold back with the chili. Amazing curry soup, wonderful fish with basil and the owners really went the extra mile.

Tasty dishes ..... but when they heard we are on a business trip they tried to cheat on us and add extra bottle of wine to our bill (+20% to our bill).

Yelp
Best meal of the year! My first experience with Indonesian food and our lovely waitress Gayetrie did a wonderful job of guiding us through the menu. Everything looked amazing, so she helped us narrow down the options. We had a sampling of starters that featured a fish cake, pickled vegetables, pork sate, spring roll and banana leaf wrapped rice roll. We also had a sampling of the satay, that included pork, chicken, lamb and beef. Best satay I've ever had - flavors are perfect and spice amount is just right. For entrees, we had the banana leaf wrapped fish and the lamb dish. Each dish was prepared to perfection with just enough spice to bring out the flavors of the fish and lamb. Service was outstanding! If you are in the mood for the best meal you've had all year, come here.

Yelp
So on a relaxing Saturday night going for some good food. It had been a while we went here. And actually we should have gone way before today, as the food was great :-) For example for starters, we took amongst other satays. In the Netherlands, a satay is normally some meat which is drown under peanut sauce. Not at all here, those were simply very nice skewers with a gentle touch of different meats and sauces. The steam cooked crab and fish cooked in a banana leave was simply excellent. Then for main some chicken, simple and delicious, and lam, with so many fantastic spices. So this place offers very refined Indonesian food, without the usual heavy food of other "traditional" Indonesian restaurant in the Netherlands. For the service, it's good and efficient, nothing special to say about that one.

Yelp
Food and wine were brilliant. Atmosphere inside welcoming and pleasant. Service fantastic and the owner is a gentle, friendly and humble guy, but an extremely talented sommelier. Favourite dish -- the venison (so tender it melted like butter in your mouth) with red ginger, paired with a Spanish mencia. 5/5 overall because it was such a delightful experience.

Yelp
Visited The Raffles with colleagues mid week. No problem getting a table and the staff were welcoming, friendly and very efficient. The wait for the food was well worth it - it was excellent. A little pricy maybe, but the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff makes this arguably one of the best Indonesian restaurants in The Hague.
