This Former Maharaja Palace in Jaipur Is Now a Beautiful Boutique Hotel - Hotels Above Par - Boutique Hotels & Travel

"A five-star, Small Luxury Hotels of the World member built by aristocratic Maharajas in 1727 and protected by fortified walls, this luxe Jaipur palace delivers an over-the-top, museum-like stay that blends royal history with modern comforts. Guests are welcomed by a traditionally attired gatekeeper in a red turban, soulful piped music and marigold garlands before entering an opulent check-in and an expansive central courtyard ringed by multi-foil arched walkways and grass terre where local musicians perform Rajasthani folklore at night. The property’s 50 uniquely decorated rooms and suites feel like individual galleries—gilded furniture, oriental rugs, crystal chandeliers, rich fabrics, hand-painted frescoes, mirror work and antiques are ubiquitous—while dispersed gardens, smaller courtyards, grand pillars and ornate wall decorations reinforce the regal vibe. Dining options include an ornate Swapna Mahal Restaurant serving upscale Indian fare, a Kebab Shop focused on Mughlai-style dishes, and the Shikardabi Bar for wine beneath hand-painted hunting-scene frescoes. For relaxation, there’s a spa and a mosaic-tiled pool, and booking perks often include potential room upgrades, early check-in/late check-out (subject to availability), complimentary daily breakfast for two and a room credit. Rates start around $162/night and the property is conveniently accessed via Jaipur International Airport."

Excellent stay at Raj Palace! The staff was fantastic, especially Dharamveer (apologies if the name is spelt wrong)! The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel gardens and property were beautiful to spend time in as well. And location was perfect, near the City Palace and popular bazaars of the old city. Highly recommend this hotel!

I recently stayed at Raj palace resort and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. My room was clean, spacious, and offered a stunning view of the pool side nd Garden . The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, all fresh and well-prepared. The location was perfect, close to major attractions yet peaceful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I was not going to write a negative review, but after not even receiving an acknowledgement of my email from the operators of this location, I have decided to let people know of my experience for their reference. Below is the email I wrote to them:||I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at The Raj Palace in Jaipur, which commenced on September 1, 2025. This accommodation was booked through Qantas.|I have already communicated with Qantas about the issues experienced during my stay. They informed me that The Raj Palace is not prepared to offer a refund or any form of compensation, which I find very disappointing.|Unfortunately, the issues we experienced during our stay were not matters that could have been resolved at the time, as they related to the overall quality of the facilities compared to what had been advertised. Specifically:|Swimming pool – in poor condition and not clean.|Gym – not clean and with equipment of poor quality.|Spa – under renovation, with only very limited treatments available. The massage that we did have was of poor standard whilst still a significant price.|These amenities were significant factors in choosing this property, particularly given the higher price point compared to our usual accommodation.|In addition, our original room was affected by strong fumes from outdoor painting, requiring us to move on the second night. Both rooms also had extremely noisy air-conditioning units that made restful sleep very difficult. Furthermore, the internet connection was very slow and frequently disconnected, which prevented me from completing essential work tasks during the evenings.|I would like to acknowledge that the heritage building itself is beautiful and that the staff were consistently warm and courteous throughout our stay. However, due to the above issues, we felt it necessary to check out after three nights instead of our planned five.|I respectfully request a refund for the two unused nights, (we left on the 4/9 instead of 6/9 as planned) given that the facilities did not meet the advertised standards and materially impacted our stay. |Our stay at the Raj Palace was to be the highlight of our trip and I was happy to pay the high price as I was travelling with my daughter and I wanted this time to be special. |Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to your positive response.

A gem in the heart of Jaipur City. A very unique experience. Hertiage Palace with plenty of stories and the palace experience is going to blow you away. I loved the peaceful atmosphere of this Palace. ||A heartfelt thank you to Narendra Ji, Pargat Singh Ji, Dharmveer Singh Ji, and Sapna Ji — each of them went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and happiness. Their warm, personalized service and genuine care turned a beautiful stay into a memorable experience.||If you are visiting Jaipur. Raj Palace should be in the top of list.

Very disappointing. It may be a heritage hotel but very tired. Brown water from the taps, you have to run the water for 20 minutes before any hot water. Some toiletries missing. Very dark rooms. Hugely poor quality towels. Pool very tired. Although staff very helpful. No relaxing sitting areas with comfy chairs apart from small coffee shop. All in all a massive disappointment. A massive refurbishment required.

I recently attended a wedding at Raj Palace Banquet in Sector 72, and it was an amazing experience! The hall was beautifully decorated with a royal touch. The staff was polite and very helpful throughout the event. Food was delicious, especially the starters. The location is easy to find and has good parking space. A perfect venue for weddings and parties!"

Here’s a polished example of a great review for Raj Palace, Noida: The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. The food was delicious with a variety of options to suit all tastes. The ambience of the property is peaceful and perfect for relaxation, yet close enough to city conveniences.

Title: "Very Rude Staff, Worst Experience" Review: I rarely leave bad reviews, but the behavior of the staff here was completely unacceptable. From the moment I arrived, the staff were not only unhelpful, but downright rude. They seemed bothered by any questions or requests, and there was no sense of hospitality at all. It’s truly disappointing when the staff make you feel unwelcome during your stay. This alone would make me hesitant to return or recommend this place to anyone. If you need to make it sound a bit more specific or have a different tone, feel free to let me know!
