The Raj Palace by Small Luxury Hotels of The World

The Raj hotel was an amazing experience. We didn’t love our room because there were no windows with natural light so they immediately moved us to the other room with beautiful light. The breakfast was delicious. The service was beyond and the building itself was a beautiful as an interior designer.

A nice, boutique, palace hotel in Jaipur. Old school charm. The staff were very welcoming and professional, and there's a great drink selection at the bar. The food/dining options could be improved though, as the menu gets a bit monotonous if staying for two nights. The breakfast selection was average compared to other five star hotels in India. Other than that, it was a great experience and is recommended.

Simply not like the other Palace Hotels in Jaipur. I visited this Hotel many years ago when it was still in the making and now seen it again in all its glory. Went on a personal Tour of the Hotel and I am in awe of its grandeur and beauty. There is the Old wing with so much history attached to it and the new wing built with meticulous planning. The rooms are spacious and have beautiful views of the enormous garden. One gets lost in the maze that it is. All the corridors tell a story. The staff some of whom have served there from its very beginning treat this Hotel like home and the guests like family. Service is second to none. The chandeliers in the dining area are breathtaking as is the mouth watering Rajasthani cuisine. Every inch of this Palace has a personal touch and once you step in you get the feeling of belonging, you become a part of its royal history.

We had our wedding at Raj Palace in Jan 2026 and the team with Ankur, Dharmveer and Narendra were a pleasure to deal with. They were incredibly helpful over the 5 days we were there. Their customer service was sublime and every ask was listened to and actioned. The check in and check out process was seamless, the food was delicious and the venue is absolutely breathtaking.

Pretty negative experience at the Raj Palace Hotel, we left a day early and paid for flights just to get away. Where to start? Very bad WiFi which cut in and out more than 50% of the time, slow and basically unusable, we called 3 times to ask them to fix it and we were ignored completely. We booked airport pickup which cost three times the local uber price to be there with a sign for us but nobody showed up at the airport for 20 minutes. They finally sent someone who was rude and who then proceeded to pull over on the highway twice to answer a personal phone call, took the much longer route, answered whatspp while driving etc. The hotel made all sorts of excuses instead of just apologising, but finally refunded the pickup charge after we pressed the point for 5 minutes in full argument mode at the front desk. The building looks nice, but facilities are poor and dated, the gym is ancient, all weight equipment is broken or unusable, the rooms are spacious but dated and loud. The staff (other than front desk staff) were all very pleasant and the breakfast was pretty good, mediocre, but this doesn't make up for the overall bad experience.  Don't expect anything fancy it seems nice from afar, photos look nice but read the other reviews who also shared the same negative review we posted and you'll see what I mean. (Writing this from my mobile roaming since the hotel WiFi is down, again). Luckily our tour guide (not booked through the hotel) was fabulous.

Excellent stay at Raj Palace! The staff was fantastic, especially Dharamveer (apologies if the name is spelt wrong)! The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel gardens and property were beautiful to spend time in as well. And location was perfect, near the City Palace and popular bazaars of the old city. Highly recommend this hotel!

I recently stayed at Raj palace resort and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. My room was clean, spacious, and offered a stunning view of the pool side nd Garden . The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, all fresh and well-prepared. The location was perfect, close to major attractions yet peaceful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I was not going to write a negative review, but after not even receiving an acknowledgement of my email from the operators of this location, I have decided to let people know of my experience for their reference. Below is the email I wrote to them:||I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at The Raj Palace in Jaipur, which commenced on September 1, 2025. This accommodation was booked through Qantas.|I have already communicated with Qantas about the issues experienced during my stay. They informed me that The Raj Palace is not prepared to offer a refund or any form of compensation, which I find very disappointing.|Unfortunately, the issues we experienced during our stay were not matters that could have been resolved at the time, as they related to the overall quality of the facilities compared to what had been advertised. Specifically:|Swimming pool – in poor condition and not clean.|Gym – not clean and with equipment of poor quality.|Spa – under renovation, with only very limited treatments available. The massage that we did have was of poor standard whilst still a significant price.|These amenities were significant factors in choosing this property, particularly given the higher price point compared to our usual accommodation.|In addition, our original room was affected by strong fumes from outdoor painting, requiring us to move on the second night. Both rooms also had extremely noisy air-conditioning units that made restful sleep very difficult. Furthermore, the internet connection was very slow and frequently disconnected, which prevented me from completing essential work tasks during the evenings.|I would like to acknowledge that the heritage building itself is beautiful and that the staff were consistently warm and courteous throughout our stay. However, due to the above issues, we felt it necessary to check out after three nights instead of our planned five.|I respectfully request a refund for the two unused nights, (we left on the 4/9 instead of 6/9 as planned) given that the facilities did not meet the advertised standards and materially impacted our stay. |Our stay at the Raj Palace was to be the highlight of our trip and I was happy to pay the high price as I was travelling with my daughter and I wanted this time to be special. |Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to your positive response.
