The Randolph Hotel Oxford, a Graduate by Hilton (Oxford, Oxfordshire) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In the United States the Graduate hotels exemplify the classic American college experience, from football-focused state schools to Ivies. It’s only fitting that the Randolph, then, would partake in Oxford’s deeply historic elegance. Here the style is classic but the colors are turned up to 10; where some Graduates feature semi-ironic sports bars, this one is home to a proper restaurant with an Alice in Wonderland theme." - Tablet Hotels

This building is beautiful and the Graduate gave it its touch that made it even nicer. I had a big and quiet room, the only downside was the mattress which I didn't like at all. Also it was in the new wing which is far from the main entrance (reception) and it is a maze, but I didn't get lost. Right in the heart of Oxford, a few steps away from all the amenities of the city. Excellent service, everyone was kind and helpful. The breakfast is super good and the restaurant where it is served it is stunning, with its high ceiling, chandeliers and beautiful bar taking you back to the old days. I had dinner here and food was truly amazing, classic with a twist.

Usually stay here when in Oxford. Love the furnishings of the rooms and the character of the hotel. The check in is easy. We were able to access our room earlier which we appreciated. The breakfast is average buffet style. They do make excellent iced soy lattes. The bar has considerable character and warmth but unfortunately is under staffed. The one bartender has to service the bar area in addition to a separate room at the other end of the hotel. The bar is counter service. There is very limited food choices for the evening so be prepared to eat before hand. The location is central to everything. Be aware there is no gym. Also did a treatment at the spa….not the best service and something to avoid.

Nice! This was part of a post-excursion with Viking, so we didn't know what to expect after disembarking and traveling to Oxford by bus, we were tired. We didn't expect something so luxurious. This was a first-rate hotel and the accommodations were very comfortable - not always the case in old renovated buildings. It truly was a beautiful hotel, right in the heart of Oxford University, so allowing walking to anything you want to see. Very much recommend

I wish we had read the reviews before booking this hotel. Please be aware that this place has absolutely no air conditioning. We complained about it after our first night stay and were moved to a different room, only to find out that it was even worst there. We asked for a fan that was kindly provided, but that made it barely breathable. Location and staff are great, but summer travelers should avoid this hotel- it’s not worth it. Maybe a two star hotel, if I am being generous.

Beautiful and whimsically furnished hotel with very comfortable rooms (and working AC!). We only spent one night but wish we had longer. The only downside is the traffic in the area — we had a car and it took quite a while to get through gridlocked traffic to arrive at the hotel, and then it was tough to find a spot to park in the loading zone (for the hotel staff to valet the car). Aside from that, I would definitely stay here again.

Location was great, rooms ok - decor not to my taste but everything was there and rooms were clean, food was excellent! Unfortunately the reception staff is letting this place down. Check in was the worst i have experienced in a very long time. The lady who was checking us in was more interested to flirt with passing staff than actually pay any attention to us. No information was given to us about the hotel. We literally had to ask for everything. No acknowledgment from reception staff when customers pass by. Very unwelcoming atmosphere in general (at reception - restaurant staff was different story). Paid £48 per night for car parking and had to wait around 40 min!!! For our car on departure. In all honesty the price didn't justify the service received and would not choose this hotel to stay again.

I stayed with my daughter for an overnight spa, and we enjoyed it very much. The hotel is amazing, nothing we have seen anywhere else. The spa is small, but apart from us, there was only one lady using the facilities, so it doesn't feel small at all. The spa is quiet with some background music, you can relax on a sofa and have some tea. We were given slippers, gowns, and towels. There was lots of bottled water, too. For the treatment, I chose the chocolate wrap. It was my first ever spa treatment, and it was an amazing experience thanks to the wonderful therapist, Ana. She was highly professional, making me feel completely at ease from start to finish. Her touch was gentle, respectful, and thoughtful, ensuring I was comfortable at all times. Her slow, delicate movements made the entire experience deeply relaxing, and I truly felt like she was there for me. It was the perfect introduction to spa treatments, and I couldn’t have asked for a better therapist. Highly recommended!

The interior décor was visually pleasing, and both the service and breakfast were good. Unfortunately, on a day when the outside temperature exceeded 30°C, the room’s air conditioning was not functioning. Two fans were provided since it couldn’t be repaired, but they failed to cool the room. The windows were sealed shut and appeared dirty, likely not cleaned for several months. The mattress was overly soft and bouncy, offering little support, and the bathroom shower head was of poor quality. Overall, we were disappointed by the condition of the hotel, especially considering its rich history.
