The Reading Rooms

We arrived to a warm and super helpful welcome from Louise which continues throughout our stay. The room was beautifully designed and was spacious and luxurious with high ceilings and large Georgian windows. Lots of original features stunningly maintained. The bed was super comfortable and bedding divine. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Gorgeous bathroom. Breakfast was superb. Fab location. I cannot fault the stay. Louise was on hand with helpful tips of where to eat which were excellent to local taxi numbers. She really couldn’t do enough. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else should I visit again .

Beautifully spacious & spotless. Perfect attention to detail from the decor (cast iron bath tub, egyptian cotton bedding, stunning design of the room & furniture. ||Breakfast was a delight, delivered to the room at a time of our choosing. Extensive menu on offer of very good quality. As someone who has owned a brunch cafe for 9 years, even I was delighted at the food and how it was presented.||Louise was the perfect hostess with suggestions of where to eat and what to do.||Thank you for a wonderful time.

We had a lovely weekend at the Reading Rooms - the Salon room where we stayed is so tastefully designed and comfortable. Louise and Liam were great hosts - very thoughtful and what a delicious breakfast. Such a treat.

Thanks for a wonderful couple of days in Margate. Great location in a beautiful house. The attic room was spacious and immaculate. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide range on the menu. The bathroom was also huge with wonderful bathing products.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at the Reading Rooms. Everything was as advertised, and Louise was the perfect combination of great hostess but also allowing us our own time and privacy. The Salon bedroom was well designed with excellent finishings (the cast iron tub in the bathroom was amazing, as was the shower), and the breakfast also an excellent experience (we expected this based on our research and read of the glowing reviews, and it did not disappoint). We would happily return if we were to visit Margate again. Thank you for a fantastic time, Louise.

We spent one night in Margate in this lovely b&b in the attic room. It’s absolutely beautifully designed and decorated - very high end furnishings and fittings, and the huge bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom is incredible!|Wonderful breakfast, a great choice and all delivered to your room in a lovely picnic basket - being in our own room for breakfast meant that we could relax, sit in our robes, whilst overlooking the square and a glimpse of the sea.|The hosts were there for anything you may need - just a quick text gets a swift response, but at the same time they are discreet and do not disturb you. |If you don’t mind climbing the 5 flights of stairs - you are in for a treat! |Highly recommended and will stay again!

Stunning room with floor to ceiling windows looking out onto lush trees in Hawley Square. Dappled sunlight coming in. Very romantic! The room is light, bright and full of quiet character. Comfortable bed. Huge, beautifully decorated bathroom with a walk in shower, big bath and two sinks. Basically it was sumptuous and just great. The breakfast is brought to your room in a basket - excellent toast, bacon, eggs, fruit, thick hot chocolate but there's loads more to choose from. About 3 minutes walk to the centre of Margate with its galleries, bars and tea shops. Very quiet location.

This place is just a dream! Spacious and well designed rooms with extra large luxury bathroom. King size and really comfortable bed. Amazing view from the big windows that you can enjoy directly from the bed. A gourmet breakfast served in the room. Amazing experience! Strongly recommend it if looking for something special!
