The Rec Hotel, Northam

Went for dinner, had booked courtyard but was pleasantly surprised to find we had an inside table as rain was looming. Staff where fantastic, food was great, Swordfish special delicious and all meals plentiful.. Good vibe with live music. Cold beer 🍺

Went to The Rec yesterday for a business meeting. They were busy, but the atmosphere was great. I had the chicken parmy, it was epic, one of the best I’ve had in a long time! My friend had the croquettes and really enjoyed them too. The venue has come a long way, it’s clear the management is on the ball. There’s so much happening at the pub, it’s great to see the place thriving!

We visited The Rec recently whilst on a ballooning trip. The hotel has a delightful old world charm and the service matched; we felt the staff cared about us, from hotel to restaurant. The room was clean and well appointed. We were lucky to stay on steak night and a delicious carnivore’s delight only set us back $25 each. I would recommend this place without fail.

The Triple deluxe room was fantastic. Neat, clean, well set up and and presented. Myself and my two daughters were very happy with the room and the beds were really comfortable. Highly recommend. We also ate dinner with our local friends and enjoyed delicious meals and drinks at the restaurant. The service at the restaurant was excellent.

Raymond was incredibly kind and quick with dishes. He moved the heating pots closer and got everything super warm for us on a cold morning. great place with amazing food and quick service. Thank you

Went for Steak night. Service is always lovely here, the staff can’t help enough and are very pleasant. Great country feel and lovely steak for both of us. Heaters were on this cold night which made the stay pleasant and warm. Had a few games of pool. We both won a game each so will be back for the decider.

We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay at The Rec. We arrived really late at night due to flight issues and they provided us out of hours access, which was easy to follow (we didn't realise our room was in a complex across the road but found it eventually). The room was super clean and modern and had a huge array of mini bar items, which would have been very handy if we had not bought our own stuff given our unexpected late arrival. Bed and pillows comfy, amenities all great. Would recommend a stay here.

A very nice venue which incorporates old style hotel and rooms as well a new rooms. (Didn't stay). We dined outside. The food was good and bad. The steak and salmon were good, and the stuffed chicken was bland and served in a bowl where a plate would be better. The penne chicken was bland, the penne not fully cooked, and had limited chicken. Given that it is a country pub, I was hoping for hearty and tasty meals. Supposedly the best in Northam however I think I would try others if I visit again.
