The Rec Room Roundhouse

Loved the vibe, our server was great, and most of the food was amazing. The only food letdown was the chicken wings—they weren’t spicy at all, really sweet, and not well cooked the way we prefer. Also disappointed to find out that the Toronto location doesn’t have bowling or axe throwing, which wasn’t clearly mentioned on the website. On top of that, we were told to buy our game cards at the table and later noticed an 18% gratuity added to them too. That didn’t feel right, so overall it’s a 3-star visit.

Another business that needs servers but short 10 min away on a weekday early after noon. The pasta and 🍤 shrimp was tasty. Hamburger was good and my crispy chicken sandwich was crunchy. Every meal was good. Server was nice but overwhelmed by the crowd before a Jays game.

Was here for New Year’s Day dinner. Surprisingly not crazy busy. Server was really welcoming and friendly. Wasn’t expecting much for their food but it was fairly satisfying.

The Rec Room in Toronto is an amazing place to visit if you’re looking for a fun night out with family or friends. It offers a fantastic variety of games, from classic arcade machines to modern interactive experiences, making it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The design of the place is very modern yet cozy, with plenty of tables and seating areas to relax between games. The atmosphere feels lively and welcoming, and it’s easy to spend hours enjoying everything it has to offer. The restaurant is excellent, with a good selection of meals that go far beyond the typical arcade fare. There’s also a very good bar serving a wide range of drinks, making it equally appealing for those who just want to enjoy a nice dinner or drink while others play. A helpful note for families: children are welcome during the day, but after 11 PM no kids are allowed, so plan accordingly. The location could not be better,right in the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district. It’s only steps away from the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Rogers Centre, and many other major attractions. Parking is also very convenient, with a large indoor lot just a short walk away.

Great service and great concept as well! I dropped in briefly to grab a bite to eat after Ripleys Aquarium and was impressed by the service. I wish I remembered his name, but the server (male with blonde medium length hair) was very honest with his recommendations and extremely helpful. It made our visit that much better knowing we were getting honest, trusted service. Great recommendations, great attitude, prompt, and grateful. I was happy to leave a generous tip and this positive feedback as well! Game selection is alright, probably could have a bit more - I do think that this place has more potential with activities if thought out the right way. Overall, great time for a first experience!

Was pretty good overall. We enjoyed the arcade, they had lots of game options and the gamecards were decently priced. The food was really good for the price. However, the poutine sucks, they use the wrong type of gravy. Loved the complimentary popcorn! The only major downside was the service. Nothing went wrong, but no one was overly nice and welcoming. The bathrooms are decorated nicely, but there is a serious smell, and they are very dirty. I would come back, but with lowered expectations.

We came on a Thursday night, I thought it’d be packed considering its stellar location right beside the CN Tower but the outside terrace was sooo quiet! We came for a quick drink but ended up splitting a pizza and it was really great, a good amount of food for 2 people for only 20$ as well. Service was fast and the cocktails were pricey, but good. Overall it’s not cheap but for the location/atmosphere it’s not bad, we had a really great time.

Tried their food for the first time and it was amazing! The hot honey wings were incredible, and the mac and cheese was packed with rich, savory flavor. The cocktails were refreshing and paired perfectly with the food—though I’d prefer a little less ice. The only hiccup was getting our waters served or refilled, but given it was a busy Sunday, it’s understandable. The staff was still friendly throughout. I’ll definitely be back for both the food and the vibe—perfect spot for a fun, laid-back date!

We were here with my little cousins and a great spot to burn 1.5hr of time after that I felt like we were pretty much starting to drag our time here (that's if you don't plan to eat here). The arcade games are mostly in good order. Though it was kind of awkward that the drinks we ordered were in glassware making it a bit challenging to walk around play games while holding a drink. Even soft drinks were in a short glass cup and volume was lower than expected. While they do have small counters around the arcade games to hold drinks, I think there should be more as there was a section that didn't have any counter and I was just holding people's drinks while they played. We also ordered the espresso martini, while it taste just fine, it didn't meet our expectations as there wasn't a thick foam or espresso beans. He did ask how it was and we mentioned the beans and the bartender did add it in afterwards. Some unique games that I liked that isn't even at D&B or other arcades I've been to is the dodgeball where you hit your own coloured targets, the rope race climbing and the pin setter game where you have to prop a glass bottle up with a string and ring (reminded me of those games at the Ex). We really enjoyed the basketball shoot out too.

This place is a great alternative to going to a sporting event as it's right in the thick of things near Toronto's Rogers Centre and ACC, but has great bites and alcohol and games for all ages. Service is slow because they are slammed often but that's really not why you'd be here. Chicken wings were sticky and juicy and fabulous, and drinks were delicious once we got them. Space is laaaaarge! Great for groups and great spot for locals and tourists enjoying the nearby attractions like the CN tower and Aquarium.

Great spot for a million games! pretty great food. Fun place to watch the game. the back hall / room is ideal for watching on the big screen. Very popular so be ready for a crowd.

We were here for a company event. In the past Monday, my company had an mingle event with clients here. The event was held at the backend of the Rec Room. A great area for clients and staff walked around, some tables for us to put drinks or food. There were appetizers that before dinner. But the appetizers were having the holder that required my two hands and drink to be put on the table. Open bar tonight. After a few talks with clients, we had food come out. Chicken wings, mini burgers, and salad. Pretty standard finger food. We went for the arcade games after food time. The games were great and big stations. The most attractive one was the claw machine that having Mario's and a flower pots claw machine. They require a wristband that contains credits to play. Each time about 16 credits. I got 1 Mario and 1 DK. The flower pot was my friend got it for me. Here was a good place to mingle with clients. We knew each other in a relaxing atmosphere.

Second visit to use all my leftover credit from the last visit for the game. Wanted to sit at the patio for some food first but we were told that we had to make a reservation. However if you go to Opentable, there is no options to book patio table. Sat at the bar top instead and ordered 12 pcs of sharable wings($25, Breaded, Smokey Chipotle BBQ flavour) Food was served fast enough and it was surprisingly good. 18oz of Ace Hill was only $8. I could just come in for beer before/after Jays game.

Good place to grab a bite across from the aquarium. There a very nice size bar with plenty of TVs to watch sports, an arcade, tons of games, plenty of seating. Great place to enjoy some time with the famiiy.

The Rec Room is conveniently located across Ripley's and CN Tower. After visiting these attractions we were hungry and went across the street for some food here. Was surprised it's quite kid friendly with lots of arcade games but we skipped all that and went to get seats for food. There's pizza, pasta, burgers, your usual American stuff. Tbh food and service was ok. We had a burger with fries and definitely needed some more ketchup but never got that extra ketchup. Didn't get the chance to check out the games but this place can definitely be fun for the family and friends.

This is a restaurant and Arcade in Roundhouse Park. Didn't get a chance to try out the arcade, but did have lunch there. Not the fastest service ever, but the food was pretty good. Poutine and truffle fries were both fantastic. Also had the sesame noodle salad and added some shrimp to it. The noodles were very tasty, but the shrimp came out separately with tails still on, which just led me to needing to peel them myself. Reminded me of Dave and Buster's in the US, but the food was better than D&B.

If you like, going to places like adventure, Landing, and Chuck E. Cheese, then you will like this place. It has plenty of games to play and win tickets, but only this place you don't get paper tickets, you get a bracelet when you first come in and you buy credits on a machine. There is a little rewards card/Points card that you wear on a bracelet the whole time you're there and you let the games scan your bracelet each time so it knows who you are how many credits you have how much money is on your bracelet and you use that the whole time you're there. So your card on your bracelet has all the information like how many points or how many tickets you have earned and then at the end you go over to the section where all the prizes are pick out what prize you want take it over to the register, they scan your bracelet to make sure you have enough points for the item you picked and then they scan the item and then you're set. It's a much neater cleaner, less pain in the butt way of doing things. They also have a bar there and a restaurant inside the same building/the same room. It is very convenient to have everything in one. I went over to the bar to sit down relax and just have a diet Pepsi and the bartender was so nice. She gave me a free popcorn and that was delicious and very sweet of her. This place is fun for anybody of any age, male or female. If ever you're in Toronto and you are regularly there, you should hit up the rec room.

We made reservations ahead of time so we'd have a place to getting some snacks after the Taylor Swift concert. We were seated quickly but it took at least 15 minutes before anyone came by to take our order. I had asked another easier waking by and he had a poor attitude. He said "you are not my table but will get out waiter", which he either didn't or our waiter actually took his time. It took forever to get a glass of water and while we saw other tables get bag(s) of popcorn while they waited for their food, we got nothing. The food was generic and mediocre at best. For a kitchen full of chefs, nachos and poutine should not haven't taken as long as it did. For an event night, you'd think the wait staff would provide their A game and to get some good tips from happy patrons. Very disappointed. Would not recommend. *there are lots of arcade games on site

I came here with a friend a few weeks back when I was trying to score some last minute TS tickets but without luck I thought about going to the DanceParty that the Rec Room was hosting. It was packed with kids, teens, and adults at the arcade, watching sports, and dining in. It's a one stop shop for all ages. I came without reservations and they said it was going to be about 30 mins wait and they texted us once the table was ready. My friend and I were seated upstairs. We each ordered a main and a Taylor inspired drink. Food and drinks were okay, nothing special but nothing worth mentioning. We split the bill and apparently they only allowed to put the Scene Points on one card if you split, which was the only downside. It's really loud in there but it's a nice place to relax and have fun

My god I always forget how abysmal this place is. I've come here a handful of times over the years and despite living fairly close to it I find myself rarely going. Today I went, I forgot just how bad the entire dining experience is. The food menu is utterly boring, limited, bland, it's the definition of super mid food at a tourist spot. I don't know why I willingly chose to eat here with friends. The survice is also quite sub-par and impersonal. As for the gaming section, some of the games are fun but holy hell is it ever expensive. Once you actually figure out how much the 'credits' tally up to each game it's ridiculous. Maria Kart is like $4 per person per try. The VR headset games which last like 5 minutes max are about $10 per person per try. It gets expensive FAST. Every single game is like 8 credits minimum no matter how short or simple the games are. Compared to something like Tilt Arcade Bar which admittedly mainly has older games but it's $10 for all you can play games. Rec Room's games by comparison can run like $50 an hour depending on the games. As a bar otherwise? Totally meh drink list/beer selection. It's like drinking at Rogers Centre. Unless you're a wealthy tourist with like 4 kids who doesn't know anywhere else to go in Toronto I just don't know who else this place would cater to?

This place is just like any arcade room except added are bars & drinks... it's good for families - parents can chill and have a drink while the kids play. However it is expensive - they do have credit bundle packages they offer. But games don't last long. You earn credits electronically on your card. With that you are able to choose any free items ( ranges from cheesy dollar store kind of things to stuffy's ) the more you spend $$$ on arcades, the more you'll get a free stuffy ! Speaking of parents having a drink, by the bar as my hubby & son sat to eat - I ordered my drink from the bartender (he had glasses on with dark shoulder length hair). Everyone's drink was served, even the guys after us came got their drink. He admitted to forgetting my drink THREE times. Trust me I wasn't rude. I was very nice & smiling. Not sure if he was delaying time to see if there was anything left on tap for me, he ended up serving me in a can. Ambiance is nice ... lots of ppl tho will bump into eachother.... You just need at least 200$ for the night here

Food 2/5 Service 3/5 Ambiance 3/5 I have downgraded my updated review. We came here on a Saturday afternoon to attend the Smash Wrestling show. We had lunch before the show & the food wasn't as good as it used to be. I ordered the 8 oz steak frites & hubby had the hamburger. When I got the steak it looked more like 6oz than 8oz. The fries were also overcooked. Hubby had asked for his fries to be extra crispy but I hadn't wanted extra crispy. I didn't eat a lot of my fries & gave them to hubby instead. I was still hungry after the small steak so I ordered a calamari appetizer. The calamari appetizer turned out to be a pretty large portion. With some deep fried beans & sweet bell peppers besides the calamari. Their desserts all had dairy in it so I couldn't eat any of them. We ended up getting donuts with chocolate sauce from The Shed. They weren't good either. I was so disappointed. The donuts were still quite oily & didn't have much flavour. The chocolate sauce was pretty flat tasting. Our waiter Cyrus was nice & his service was fine. I think they might have had him serving a lot of people as I saw him going to & fro quite a bit. It was really busy that day as there were at least 4 large group parties going on. When we complained about my overdone french fries he apologized & when we got the bill they didn't charge us for the coffee. Would have been nice if they gave us a bigger discount than that. After lunch we went to the bathrooms at the back near the curtained area where smash wrestling was going to be held. The ladies bathroom was smelly & not clean. Hubby says the men's bathroom was clean but the floor was grimy. The other set of bathrooms near the Shed & gaming area were cleaner. I actually saw a bathroom attendant in there checking how clean it was & asking for someone to get more soap. Well, I wish they had done that for the bathrooms at the back. Hubby says the men's bathroom near the gaming area was cleaner & nicer. I would come back to play games here but I don't think I will eat the food again. I would avoid using the bathroom at the back of the restaurant. It was as bad as a TTC public bathroom.

Gord and I had supper last evening with our pal, Trish, at The Rec Room. It was a really busy spot! Trish had an Impossible Burger (Delicious Impossible patty made from plants, onions, pickles, lettuce, toasted potato bun), Gord had a Grilled Chicken Club (Grilled chicken breast, bacon, lettuce, mayo, ciabatta). I had chicken wings with Buffalo sauce. All were good.

Nice venue, sectioned off nicely for separate events. The food was good. Pizzas were solid, generous topppings. Hope to go back again.

Went on a Monday night around 11PM after a Blue Jays win. Got chipotle wings, a pretzel, and the Sonic Groove mocktail. Wings were good, the chipotle wasn't prominent or hot. The pretzel with the ranch was really good. But I don't know what was going on with the "cheese". I think it was a honey mustard sauce. (It did not taste like cheese.) But the best thing by far was the Sonic Groove mocktail. Excellent service at the bar. Fun atmosphere if you like sports and video games.

Had a really great corporate event today where we were split up into two teams and competed against each other in numerous games like air hockey, basketball, and a reaction time game. The MC / Facilitator was hilarious and made us welcome! We head a section to ourselves to order lunch and the chicken tacos were very bland. I recommend getting the spicy chicken sandwiches instead.

We visited The Rec Room for dinner prior to the Taylor Swift concert. We were very surprised at how quickly we were seated and waited on. I ordered the chicken cobb salad with a couple substitutions and my daughter ordered the pizza. Popcorn came to our table first. Not sure if that is standard but my daughter was happy and it was good popcorn! My meal was okay- it was what I expected. I thought the kids meals were a decent price. The atmosphere was perfect- Taylor Swift music playing and lots of people trading bracelets. If in town for a nearby event, I would come back.

After visiting CN Tower, we got hungry and was looking for a place that is open late at night. I found The Rec Room and it's nearby, so we decided to go here for dinner! We went here on a Thursday around 9:26pm and there was no wait! We got seated at a table near the bar area with a view of all the arcade games and they were quick at giving us the menu. We ordered the Rec Room Burger, Avocado & Bacon Cheeseburger, and the Loaded Nachos! The Loaded Nachos came first and it was good, but we both felt like it's a bit too salty. Both of our burgers were good and we liked how big the burgers were and how it comes with a large portion of fries too! I'd recommend this place! Yes, the nachos were a bit too salty, but the rest of the food was good and it's a great place if you're looking for something that is open late. It's also a good place to play arcade games too!

Okay food. Great deal for kids' meals at $10 each though. Super loud; not sure how we could really have a decent conversation given the volume. Spent $25 each on 3 play cards for the kids and didn't spend it all, so glad we can use it at the Rec Room in BC, but maybe we'll get food somewhere else in the mall first. Nobody checked in on us mid-meal and that was a little weird. Food came and was like, "Okay, have a great night. Peace out." Rec Room could probably be cafeteria style so you buy your food first. I did like that we had a MASSIVE table near the door so it was LIKE sitting on the patio without actually being outside. Fun for the kids. I'd recommend it for them but not for work events. Too loud.

While we had a blast at the arcade, we got very hungry and decided to try out the food here. After receiving our food, we did not see our waitress for another 30 minutes and they did not give us utensils. In fact, it took that long just to find a waitress who wasn't busy just to ask for utensils. Our food stood there for so long to the point where EVERYTHING was dried up. One of our friends ordered the fish tacos and asked for no onions. Their entire plate had some form of onions in each part. The waitress comped us for one meal, but we barely ate any of it. This whole meal was 90 dollars. I have never been this disappointed. We tried to have some fun from how ridiculous this was by seeing how stale the macaroni was. Slowly flipping it like a DQ blizzard with no movement going on was shocking. How are you charging $20 for essentially old kraft dinner?? The arcade/bar is always a blast, though. I recommend trying that out. I will not recommend the restaurant as it has almost ruined my enjoyment of this night. While I do not feel good writing a review like this, this has to be our first time having some of the worst food we've ever had. We had to go eat out somewhere else just to satisfy our hunger.

Fun atmosphere and friendly staffs, lots of birthday parties happening while we were there, but this must be the saddest "loaded nacho" i've seen in my life - what happened, chefs? Looks so sad, there's even lettuce (in the nacho)!

We had not heard of The Rec Room but after going to the CN Tower we needed some food and maybe some drinks and saw how close it was to our location so we went to check into out. The Rec Room is a game bar that servings food as well and of course has bunch of options for games. It's pretty much the Dave N Buster's of Canada. We came in around lunch time and had no problem getting a table but the was mostly because this place was huge. Once seated our waitress brought us free fresh popcorn. We also ordered some drinks and appetizers too. For table we started with the Raspberry Lemonade Cocktail Tower the Giant Pretzel and the Goat Cheese & Pear Dip. The Cocktail Tower was just alright but I get it everything that's made big and for sharing is always going to miss a little. Both appetizers were good. I wish the Giant Pretzel came with a Beer Cheese but I want Beer Cheese with everything. For my entrée I went with the Grilled Chicken Club. One of the best parts about Canada is you can almost always upgrade your side of Fries to Poutine so that's what I did. The Poutine was good but the Chicken Club was pretty bland. Just didn't have a lot of flavor. Would for sure recommend some Honey Mustard or maybe some other type of sauce.

Good food and a wide variety of games to play. Service was exceptional and the overall aura was just laid back, relaxed and fun. Great first time experience!

First time here. Interesting games which are probably fun but we just had dinner. It is noisy. Reservations are only made for inside if you we wanted patio we had to go outside and wait. We ended up back inside. Now our server Thomas Was terrific and worked really hard. The food was good it just want great. Prices are good for Toronto. Would I go back? Yes but if there were other options I'd likely try them first.

What a fun place. Came here for a work team building event. The food was so good. The nachos with table side cheese pour was very good. The server was not the most attentive but the food made up for it.

We had the absolute nicest service in the entire world, so friendly & very helpful with the menu. Ordered the Sundried tomato & goat cheese pasta as per the server's recommendation, and was surprising really good! Solid option in between playing games at the Rec Room. The Peach Don't Kill My Vibe drink was also most definitely a vibe, 10/10.

Good service.. wings are a nice size. Patio is kinda BLAND.. never went inside. So don't know about the games

Sort of like Dave & Busters, very mediocre pub-ish food, only OK drinks, and a bunch of arcade games. About half the games are for tickets that you can redeem for plushies and candy and board games, though you need quite a lot of tickets to get anything reasonable. The other half of the games are pretty much racing or shooting games (though there are some modern versions of old-school ones too and 3 pinball machines).

So. Been considering coming here for a bit, finally came with some coworkers. We'd booked seats, so we asked to be seated outside. After an extended wait to speak to the manager, no go, so we sat inside. The meal was not terrible but felt like I was paying way more than I was getting. The chicken sandwich was tasty but the poutine, which required an up charge, was a lot smaller than the actual serving of fries. If they'd just given me the poutine instead of a half plate of fries at the same cost, fine. This half as much fries with a few curds & some gravy ain't a good deal. I ordered the pickle Ceasar which arrived without the the stated pickle spear. I had to ask our waitress what was up, she didn't bother to explain the situation when she brought me my beverage. It was nice, but a garnishless Ceasar is a letdown. It's possible if you're running between table and arcade this kind of thing might not be as noticeable. Oh, hey. They auto added a gratuity to our bills & never told us! Greaaaat.

Assortment of games is not too many and all of them feel very boring? Snacks and drinks are also very average :(

We didn't eat here but the service at the bar is great. The bartenders are super nice and the drinks are good. It's fun pre and post Jays game. The games are fun and it's a good atmosphere.

I feel like the Yelp photos and rating doesn't do this place justice. It was much larger and trendier in person. 7 of us dined and played arcade games and had a great time. The food exceeded my expectations and there were multiple areas to dine and party in. It's fun for both adults and kids and can be both low key and a party scene. You can make it what you want. Great place to celebrate a birthday too! It's in close proximity to rogers center. I'd definitely recommend stopping by before or after a game and check it out.

It's really an arcade with an adjacent restaurant. Therefore the ambiance isn't really helping the restaurant part; rather noisy. The menu is, as one would expect, focussed on fast food. We had to wait quite a bit for our order to be taken and delivered. The waitress - Keleez - was very friendly, attentive and helped us to understand the whole concept, shout out to her! Food wise I can highly recommend the chicken wings with smoked chipotle bbq and the Habanero Margarita (spicy!).

Decent outdoor patio. Food: Pitchers are from 17 (ace hill) to 27(ipa beers and Stella) I got fries $4 for a decent portion. The pizzas looked good for other tables Service: (4 stars) Ok, no complaints or compliments Ambiance: (5 stars) Right by the steam whistle brewary. Next to the train museum.

Este lugar esta justo al frente de la CN TOWER y esta súper genial, ofrecen bebidas, comidas, varias pantallas para ver juegos y la principal atracción son las maquinas de jugar, tienes maquinas de última generación y buena variedad, mis hijos la pasaron muy bien.

Disappointing. Heard great things. Made a reservation a week or two earlier. On arrival, they try to squeeze us into a four-person table telling us it's made for six. Meanwhile,I look around at every other similar table and there are only four people at each with the exception of one that had six people (right beside us); this one had an extension on it!! After I asked a few times for a 6-person so we could be comfortable, they proceeded to move us to a "6-person table" - IT WAS THE SAME SIZE. We had two people sitting in the aisle. I'm not sure what was worse. Not fulfilling a reservation for six made well ahead of time or treating us like we were morons and wouldn't notice that the second table was the same size. The service was okay, but slow. They lost/forgot our first drink order for which we waited for 20 minutes. The food wasn't special, and you can find similar or better at any other pub in town. It was loud and difficult to have conversations. There are much better options out there. I'm not going back.

This place is a must go downtown, has all the super fun arcade games !!! It's also got a nice restaurant, axe throwing, bars. Be aware, this place is usually always packed so plan it ahead ! Have fun !

Rec Room - playground for adults.  You start off by buying a bracelet which you can load money(credits) onto which allow you to play all the arcade games. There's a nice selection of games for all ages and bonus...you can redeem the points you've collected at the end for prizes. Some of which include Raptors gear The thing I would've liked would've been some more games, with there being so many kids on the weekends you have to wait a while to be able to use the games. Location is convient if you're looking to also check out a jays game, cn tower or even ripleys aquarium

The food was decent. Excellent beer and cocktail list. Lots of games for the kids. Very family friendly and loud. Good came fast and so did drinks. We would go back! Great service too and friendly

The food is meh. It's understandably overpriced for the portions, definitely nothing notable. The games are fun, it has great variety. It's a good place for something different to do. I do wish they had more variety of prizes for low points lol.

Decent choice if you're in the area and looking for a sports bar for a quick bite with fun games and activities. However, if you're looking for somewhere to host a corporate event I'd look elsewhere. The food was average at best despite a broad range of offerings for our social and there really wasn't much that would make me recommend a return.

I came after another event. It's very much like Dave & busters. Fun games for kids and family. They sometime host events for performances. The food was actually very good here. I had the chicken wings at the bar and they were too good !! The ambiance is really cute for an arcade. You can come dressed up for causal.

Came here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night. It was really busy in the dining area and obviously in the gaming area as well. Drinks were good but as for food it was okay. I got the nachos and 8 wings. The nacho was disappointing. It was loaded with too much sauces, which 80% of the chips were soggy. It was poorly put together, I understand it was busy but please have the guac and salsa on the side. On the bright side the honey lime wings was really good. Tangy and sweet, was perfect with the ranch and hot sauce. Games wise it was fun, some new games I haven't played before and some you had to wait in line to play.
