Really good hostel in Santiago. It's pretty close to the city center, the rooms are really big as well as the kitchen and the reception is always helpful if you need anything. Sometimes they have some social event which are nice to attend. Overall I can recommend this hostel

Really bad experience. The beds smell and the sheets clearly aren’t changed between guests — they were dirty and stained. The bed feels unhygienic overall. Also, you can’t even charge your phone unless you have a USB-A cable — no regular outlets or USB-C ports available. Would not recommend.

Thanks to Nacho and the chicos for a great experience, had loads of fun and a was well looked after. The pool and the bar were amazing for such a cheap price. They do social events that are great for meeting people and having lovely food and great craic. Highly recommend

The hostel staff are not useful. I sent clothes to clean, i asked many times when they would be returned always assuring me it would be by midday. At 10pm they finally arrived after i asked over and over again for them to be brought as i had an early flight. I packed and left for the airport. During the flight i realized one jacket was missing. They told me it was my problem, as i didnt ask for it. Ive been texting them for weeks to try to organize a delivery but they ignore me, and are not helpful. The hostel is dirty and not well taken care of, but the worst would be the service

La Casa Roja is a cool hostel! Amazing big building that has character and style. Lots of cool artwork and safe entrance. The staff are really friendly and there’s even a pool, so what’s not to love?! Highly recommend

So overall i wasn't really satisfied with this hostel. It was not really clean and the showers only had cold water. But by far the worst thing was the internet: They have 4 networks from which 2 are constantly not working and the other two are only in reach in certain areas. In my room as well as in the patio i cound't connect at all so like 10 people where always sitting next to the staircase to get some connection. And in the rare occasions that you had internet, the connection was so bad that you couldn't even use instagram or something. For a hostel this size that's really poor in my opinion... Only good thing was the old building which looks pretty cool.

The hostel is in a majestic building with big rooms and fantastic garden nearby 2 metro lines and a lot of bars and restaurants. Here I personally had one of my greatest stays of my life, with the perfect balance of relax and party (almost every night) with theme parties and a lot of good people to know.

Great for those who travel to party. But not for those who care about their impact on local society and the environment. The blaring music is very loud, invasive, and takes no account of the fact that this is actually a neighborhood where people live, work, sleep. So, if you don't care - go for it. If however you wish to travel with respect, think twice!
