My wife took me to the Red Rabbit for my birthday. The restaurant has a very interesting concept. They come up with a new theme every month and for December it was “Nosh”. That’s what we got, and it was fantastic. We had no clue what nosh was about. Some research into the meaning taught us that is stands snacking, nibbling or sampling. So in great anticipation, we were told that they had random, shareable plates of food coming, for us to try and explore. You could call these plates “tapas” but that would be reaching a little too short. The flavors and styles were from all over the world, Asian, Italian, Mexican and good old Canadian. The dishes were not heavy on the meat, most of them were vegetarian but that was perfectly fine for us. Spicy, tangy, nutty, sweet and sour, it was all there. When you are full, you just call the plates off and it switches over to the deserts. We had a nice bottle of wine to go with the meal. Service was great, and it sure was an experience out of the ordinary. We certainly will be back to nosh a little more.
