I've driven by this location for four years, upon hearing news of RR re-opening, I knew I had to stop by. They have still just recently opened and are still working menu items and drink out (as said by what seemed to be the manager at the bar).
First off, the parking lot, ladies, this is not a place to wear heels. The lot is unpaved and muddy (on some days), please be careful. Upon entering, I liked the decor. The bar is large and welcoming and I liked the overall look of the entire dining room. I sat down at the bar, and after hearing they had a happy hour food special ($2 off apps), I decided to try some food. I ordered the nachos, which were o.k., nothing special. The cheese could have been melted more, I didn't love the multi-colored chips and the guac (extra charge) was sour and didn't go well with any other ingredients. My drink, the Great Northern, was tasty, but a little expensive with an $11 price tag.
I liked the touch of the train circling around the dining room, but maybe it was just the day, but the entire place had a slightly musty smell that never went away.
There is more than enough staff available and they were all quite friendly. You could tell they are still learning their roles, as they reviewed all food and drinks that were sent out. Overall, I think once the new kinks have been worked out, I would stop in again.
