Rating = 4.5 stars.||Disregarding the saga caused by a guest on our first night we had a fabulous four nights in this great Taupo lakefront resort. We had a very comfortable well appointed ground level apartment/studio, stepping out into a full width balcony/patio and onto that lovely warm swimming pool. Clean facilities, warm homely atmosphere and vibe. Ample supply of pool towels. Value for money this is. Grateful for the basement car parking which was always available to us. Pool was always available when we needed a dip. A small improvement to the design of the pool steps: suggest slighter wider steps/rungs, add one more at water level, put steps a little closer together, and a gentle gradient out towards the middle of the pool as opposed to a vertical "ladder". For the benefit of us older gits with sore joints :-) Amazing lake view. Friendly professional staff, who were flexible enough to grant us privacy by letting us NOT have our room serviced for the full time we were there.||And to top it all off it was a most pleasant surprise to bump into a work colleague from way back, who also happened to be a co-manager of this great property. Fantastic to see you again John W! And a pleasure to have met you Carolyne. Take good care of yourselves, until next time.

The best place to stay in Taupo, we stayed here only one night on our travels through New Zealand North Island, it was our favorite place to stay. The staff was great; the hotel was very clean. They don't have elevators, so we had to carry our bags up a flight of stairs. We had two room as we were traveling with another couple our rooms were next to each other, the front desk lady was so nice to put us together. They do not have a restaurant but will do breakfast if ordered before 7pm the night before, the Front desk told us the restaurant they get the breakfast from was just outside the gate down the walkway along the lake a few yards away. The pool was amazing bath temperature and very clean, atmosphere was perfect to relax and enjoy some down time. I would recommend

Well appointed and tastefully decorated rooms. Generous size with a living area, dining table and small kitchenette. Comfortable bed. There’s a nice pool and bbq area. Our only concern was the soundproofing of the room was poor. We could hear every discussion coming from the reception area and corridor. Despite this I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed two nights. This was one of our best hotels on our month long NZ trip. The room was more like an apartment very clean and spacious with kitchenette area and a balcony with views of the lake. The bed was extremely comfortable. The whole ambience of this resort is warm and friendly almost like a home from home. The pools were like stepping into a warm bath. BBQs located in the pool area too for guest use. The hotel is literally on the lakefront which is accessed via a gate at the rear. All in all superb accommodation in a beautiful location.

A wonderful room with a nice private spa in the room. And we also enjoyed the two outside pools. The owner is a lovely and helpful person. The private kitchen in the room is well equipped. We'd loved to stay longer but had to follow our plan.

The location, the views of stunning lake Taupo, the hot pool and the managers, housekeepers and staff make this place the go to place in Taupo. Even with weather that was a bit wet, we absolutely adored our time here and will be back the next time we visit

Yelp
We spent one night at this hotel as part of our tour package. Upon arriving, we were thrilled to be staying here. The person running the front desk (owner?) was very nice when we checked in and gave us towels in case we wanted to use the hot tub. Then we went our room and discovered that our room was in fact a suite! We had a living room/kitchenette, a bedroom and a bathroom. The bathroom felt luxurious, with a marble countertop and a step leading up to a whirlpool bathtub. After seeing our room, we explored the property a bit. It's a small hotel and has a personal feel, not like a big chain hotel. It all looked clean and modern, with several pools and hot tubs. Also, the hotel is right on beautiful Lake Taupo. Bottom line, this place was great. We very much enjoyed staying here and would absolutely recommend staying here.

Yelp
Stayed here for two nights in April. Check-in was fast, very friendly and welcoming. The 'appartment' had a nice kitchen for cooking, a lovely bathtub and a good bed. The weather was very cold when we stayed here and the room was therefore extremely cold. There was an AC, but in the common room, so the bedroom was sooo cold, which made it hard to sleep and not very pleasant.
