"Set upon five idyllic acres, Amagansett’s Reform Club feels like a well-manicured family estate rather than a hotel: guest rooms, all white and airy, are mostly housed in the property’s main brown-shingled house. For bigger groups—or those just wanting more space—several cottages dot the grounds. Such spread-out privacy does not come at the expense of location: Reform Club is mere minutes from Amagansett town, and there's a bike rack with white and navy cruisers so you can ride to Meeting House (where guests get priority reservations) or Il Buco with ease. On select weekends, they will also host wellness retreats—including ones by New York and L.A.-based Remedy Place, where guests can do ice baths, movement classes, and stick to a curated menu." - Elise Taylor

"The Hamptons, unlike other summer retreats around the world, isn’t a region of resorts. You won’t find a 200-room outpost of a five-star hotel chain there, nor will you find palatial property with multiple swimming pools, restaurants, and a golf course. Instead, each hamlet has quaint inns and bed-and-breakfasts, usually housed in tasteful historic homes or consisting of brown-shingled cottages that exude a quiet luxury. One, above all, seems to have personified this ideal: The Reform Club in Amagansett." - Elise Taylor

I would like to start this review by saying that I am an architectural designer and specifically design hotels for a living. At first arrival the grounds and room are stunning. Beautiful landscaping and gorgeously appointed room. However — when it came time to go to bed multiple functional flaws became obvious. There are several skylights with no shades. One faces the hall which has exit lights on 24/7 and in the dead of night let so much light in so I tried to cover it with pillows as you can see in the photos. The others are too high to reach and woke me at sunrise. The front door has no privacy lock or deadbolt and does not feel very secure. The mattress is also only an 8” thick pad — not a real mattress. While the room is gorgeous I would have preferred a dark room and comfortable bed. Maybe instead of putting marble everywhere they could have spent some of that money on a real mattress or some shades. Pathetic for the price.

The Reform Club is the perfect mix of laid-back luxury and Hamptons charm. It’s got that exclusive vibe without being pretentious. The rooms are chic and comfortable, and the atmosphere is just right for kicking back after a day at the beach. The staff really knows how to pamper you without being overbearing.

I recently attended a wedding at Reform Club, and I must say, everything was perfect. The location itself was breathtaking, with well-maintained surroundings and beautiful landscaping. The staff were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of and that all guests felt welcome and comfortable. From the moment we arrived until the end of the event, their professionalism and attentiveness were commendable. I highly recommend Reform Club for any special occasion or event you may have. You won't be disappointed!

The Reform Club is the perfect place to celebrate a wedding! As a groomsman in a recent wedding at the Reform Club I can honestly say that it's the perfect place to celebrate a wedding. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with lush lawns, gardens, and a charming apple orchard. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful, and they went above and beyond to make the day special for everyone involved. I was particularly impressed with the guest rooms at the Reform Club. They were spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. I had a great night's sleep, which is important after a long day of celebrating. I highly recommend the Reform Club to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue in the Hamptons. It's the perfect place to create lasting memories with your loved ones. Lastly the grounds are perfect for taking photos. There are so many beautiful spots to choose from, so we were able to get a variety of great shots especially in front of the light house. Overall, I was very impressed with the Reform Club. I highly recommend the Reform Club to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue in the Hamptons, where you and your guests can enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay.

I fell in love with The Reform Club! I desperately needed space from the big city, and this hotel provided all of the amenities I needed to decompress. The rooms were in tip-top shape and squeaky clean. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. They answered my questions about other leisurely activities I could do in Amagansett with great suggestions! I appreciated the fact that I could get a really good nice sleep at the end of each day because of how calm and quiet the grounds were. I can't wait to go back to this hotel in the warmer months and do it all over again!

I recently stayed at The Reform Club Inn in Amagansett, NY. The service was exceptional, with attentive and courteous staff making me feel welcome. The location is fantastic, nestled in the charming village of Amagansett, offering a peaceful retreat. However, the WiFi was a major letdown. For a place this expensive, I expected reliable internet, but it was extremely flaky, making it hard to stay connected. Overall, while the service and location are top-notch, the poor WiFi is a significant drawback. If they fix this issue, it would greatly improve the experience.

I've stayed at the reform club 3x now, never again. The first time was OK, second time I left disappointed, this last trip I legitimately felt scammed. The prices keep going up and its laughable what they charge, $2k+/night. The rooms are nice and close to town. Beyond that, there's NO wifi. It doesn't work and the fake attempt by the front desk staff to 'restart it' when you complain, is frustrating. The walls and floors are PAPER THIN. You get to enjoy every conversation next door and outside word for word and you know every time everybody around you is showering or on the toilet, the water pressure vibrates through the pipes in the walls. Some staff are nice, others are beyond rude. No idea what the $150/day resort fee goes to, there isn't a shuttle or pool or anything. The breakfast they offer is not good. Final thought, the landscaping is a mess and not maintained. The 'privacy' hedges between the cottages are dead, you truly have no privacy. The dozens of hydrangea bushes around the property obviously weren't pruned correctly, none of them bloomed this year. For the $4k you took from me, I think you can afford a few new bushes and some fertilizer.

When you book The Reform Club, you are paying premium prices for hospitality befitting the typical local motel chain. Upon arrival to my room on check-in day, my room was dirty. There were leftover dirty socks from the previous guest, little shaved hairs in the sink and all over the tub, and the sheets were stained with what looked like dried wet spots. I attempted to request a new room, which took the staff almost two hours to accomidate, due management incompetence and the owner's unwillingness to help. For over an hour both the hotel manager and owner accused me of exaggerating, being dramatic, and stubbornly refused to make any accommodations until I threatened to cancel all-together. The food was also not great. The theme of this hotel seems to be an artificial luxury, where on the surface everything looks and feels exquisite, until you find dirty socks under your bed and/or the cheap quality breakfast food they serve. No different from a continental breakfast you could have at a hotel a fraction of the price. The one positive thing I can say about the hotel is it's location is close by to the local hotspots. This is pretty advantageous as it means you have an easier time leaving the hotel and its cheap amenities and awful staff. If you want a place that looks decent from the outside, The Reform Club is great. If you want a clean room and accommodating staff, go anywhere else.

Yelp
From the magical space and piece of land to the incredibly attentive and friendly hospitality to the curated art selection and eye for detail.. The Reform Club does not disappoint. As soon as you enter the property you will feel a sense of peace. Swept away from the business of the Hamptons, yet just a 5 minute walk away from the center of Amagansett (or a 10 minute bike ride to prime Hamptons beach). The Reform Club's eye for detail is what will impress you the most. Our rooms and cottage (and entire property) was spotless. Not once was there anything to point fingers at. The rooms were decorated to perfection. Between the interior, the art selection, the cleanliness, the gorgeous bathroom!... you are in for a treat. PLUS if you book Cottage 2 you will have your own private (and pristinely clean) steam room that WORKS! Within 5-10 minutes it is steaming hot. Fabulous way to start your day followed by a great shower -- or after a chilly day of exploring the Hamptons. Order your complimentary breakfast seamlessly on the ipad provided in your room and you will wake up to fresh brewed coffee and a deliciously warm croissant! Let's not forget that every room and cottage at The Reform Club has their own fireplace -- so get ready to get cozy! In cottage 2 we had one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. The frontdesk will send someone immediately to get it started for you and all you need to do is pour yourself a glass of wine, sit back and enjoy the coziness. If you want to have dinner there as well they can arrange that (highly recommend doing this for an evening). I can not recommend staying at The Reform Club enough. You are never gonna want to leave.

Yelp
Stunningly terrible. The Staff we encountered was unhelpful & affirmatively rude. The dance class w/ the Sousa march blaring across the property like a heavy metal rock band was truly obnoxious. Run away . . . run away.

Yelp
What a special inn!! I stayed in cottage 2 for two delightful fall nights. The living room and bedroom both have fireplaces. The feel of the place makes you want to curl up with a book and hot chocolate in front of the fire and never leave. Decor is classy traditional with a touch of modern. I love that they feature art that is for sale in the rooms. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and were so understanding about my very late arrival due to traffic from the city. Molton Brown products in the bathroom are a lovely added touch and they give the most incredible treats at turn down that the innkeeper bakes! This is the epitome of a high-end Hamptons experience.

Yelp
I stayed here for three nights. The good: nice room, close to town. The bad: crazy expensive, no movie channels on the tiny tv, no bath tub, breakfast was tiny and not great - had to go into town to eat, not allowed to have guests. Even worse: the people above us woke us up at 7am and kept us up until after midnight simply by walking around. It was SO loud! It's like the flooring stuck to the thin barrier between our suite and the suite above us, and then released loudly (like a sticky noise) every time they took a step. I'm used to loud NYC apartments, but this was ridiculous. Could not get a decent night sleep. Staff didn't compensate us at all when we told them about it. Shameful.

Yelp
We stayed here this past weekend and had a great time. They definitely deserve 4 stars. They usually have a 7 day cancellation rule (you can't cancel within 7 days of your arrival), but our original plan was ambushed by the over hyped snowstorm in early February. We called the day before and moved it to the last weekend in March with no hassle. They were very understanding about the whole thing - in hind sight, we could have possibly driven, but going in the early Spring turned out to be a better choice anyway. The rooms are awesome (you get what you pay for - $475 / night) and the bathrooms are amazing. There was no hot water for our shower (the warm water never came) so that's why I am docking a star. They are about 1 mile away from the beach - we did a nice stroll there in the the late morning on Saturday. And the town is a 5 minute walk away - they had a couple bars and some small stores that were great for browsing. AND...they drove us to dinner and picked us up...how awesome is that! The staff was also so warm and friendly. They really made the experience so awesome. That and the all day fire we had...

Yelp
Beautiful suite, quiet, clean and charming stay!!

Yelp
I'm torn, because I'd really like to keep this secret...but it just wouldn't be fair (either to the Reform Club or my fellow Yelpers.) This place is looong overdue. It's a five star inn (think almost Aman level) right in the middle of East Hampton/Amagansett. It's got seven suites in the main building, and three 'cottages' (almost min-mansions). All have gorgeous fireplaces, private verandas or lawns, luxury baths, built-in sound systems for your iPod, Wifi, large screen tvs, etc. etc. etc. Yeah, it's insanely expensive (up to $1500/night in the high season) but boy, is it ever worth it!

Yelp
I stayed in a private cottage for two nights. The attention to detail is amazing, staff is responsive and friendly. We used the fireplace and personal steam room... Both worked well. VERY CLEAN! Not for those on a budget.

Sloane G.

Yelp
I stayed in one of the private cottages for two nights. It's like having your own perfect house in the Hamptons with a full staff. The accommodations and the property are gorgeous, and the staff is so on top of every little detail. Because it's so small, it's also very private and you hardly see the other guests. I am already planning my next trip back!
