(CHECK IN) Stayed here for 2 weeks solo as my parents stayed else where, arrived around 9am, girls on reception were very helpful and I was shown to my room I didn't expect it to be ready. (ROOM) Cleaners came in everyday to make the bed, fresh towels and clean around nothing was ever taken. I never put my sign out for room be cleaned or not to be cleaned and they still went in when I was out. Air-conditioning and safe included in the price. Bottles of water left everyday in the fridge. (LOCATION) Lovely grounds and place to stay just a shame you can hear the mopeds and cars going past your room late at night. Around 10/15 min walk to main bars, shops and beach. 7 Eleven Supermarket couple minutes walk. Supparat lovely food and very good prices. I used Marina Laundry over the road 300baht for 7kg wash and dry smells lovely. (COMPLAINTS NOT HOTEL FAULT) 1 night I had trouble with next door from 11.30pm till around 4.30am been very loud complained to security twice the next morning I went to reception and the girls solved the problem straight away and moved me rooms can't remember there names but I couldn't thank them enough. (23/11/23 (BREAKFAST) I went the first morning and didn't return after that only 2 options. First choice was 2 local sausage, eggs, local ham and toast. Second choice I think it was omelette. Served with a glass or orange juice and coffee. Breakfast does need working on but seems to be a lot of long term people living here so I can imagine it not be worth putting a spread on.

This is a hotel which is very well presented. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, very clean and well portioned and presented. Great view out from room 42 through the trees looking out to lake. Breakfast was really good and well staffed for great service. Although we didn't ask for the room to be cleaned, it was anyway which was a nice surprise on our return. There's a nice selection of lounge space to sit in. Definitely worth a short or long stay Ambleside in easy walking distance and plenty of eateries. So 5 stars from me Just a very small note which I wouldn't take a star off the review I'm a old fashioned kind of person and like traditional food which this hotel doesn't serve. I would stay again as I love great service and been treated like the customer is king which is how I run my business. Thanks for a lovely couple of days ❤️😊

Don't be fooled by reviews on this page as The Regent Hotel is no longer functioning under same owners and although the rooms are still lovely you have no access ti lounge dining room or the other lovely sitting areas in lounge/bar as it has changed hands. You check in across the road that can only be described as a Wotherspoons or Brewers fare and that's where breakfast and dinner is served. As the weather was good it was bedlam queued every time fir 30 mins ti get drink or food and there were at least 5 or 6 items off main meals on menu every night Food was average at best and although pub grub was charged at exorbitant prices.....service was slow as staff who were doing their very best were run off their feet as there is a large outside area that staff have to attend to as well as inside......not good. Plus was over run with barking dogs out of control We have stayed many times at the Regent and have recommended it on many occasions but not any more .....we were very disappointed with this stay and won't be returning so please note the reviews are good for the room but nothing else and owners are hiding behind these reviews not explaining where you book eat etc so if you want a relaxing break this is no longer the place so would give it a wide berth Very disappointed customer

We have been using this hotel for several years and always been well satisfied. We were not aware that the hotel had changed hands, nor that the chef had only been in site for five days, when we arrived. The staff were all fine, the rooms clean and well serviced. Our main concerns were the lack of choice on the evening menu, which was a piece of A4 paper. Most of the food offered was fried, or high in fat. Other than fish and chips, no other fish was on the menu. Items were unavailable, which meant very little choice. I know we could have eaten elsewhere, but we are usually happy to eat in the hotel after walking all day. The wine list was a joke- the cheapest was like paintstripper. Very little choice, which we found amazing as the Inn group is a large concern. Very disappointing stay, don't think we'll be back in a hurry. We've stayed here twice a year, for five years and always been happy. Not this time!!

Amazing and very helpful staff. Breakfast staff made me a latte every morning although it's not part of the breakfast. Great choice of meals from the restaurant...salmon my favourite! Beautiful clean bedroom and lots of walking routes! Great morning and late evening walks on the pier. A BIG THANK YOU FOR A BRILLIANT STAY!!

Stayed for 3 nights in early May with my wife and 11 year old daughter. The room was lovely and well appointed. The service in the breakfast room was very efficient and professional as well as warm and friendly. All the staff were great and went out of their way. The location is very good with water views from our door. Would love to return another time and stay longer.

Just stayed here for one night Absolutely loved everything about it. The check in was quick and easy. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was really pleasant with a lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed . We had our evening meal at the hotel and it was lovely. We had the sharing starter which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our mains were also delicious and the service was excellent. Breakfast was served in a lovely relaxed atmosphere by great staff again and the choice of food was excellent and everything was lovely We really didn't want to leave and can't wait to visit again. A big thanks to everyone!

We booked a two night stay at the Regent in one of their dog friendly rooms. Room wasn’t huge but had all you needed and was spotlessly clean. Reception staff were excellent ( special mention to Simon who fell in love with our Pomeranian Chillie) the feeling was mutual Simon :) Breakfast was excellent and location brilliant, just a 2 minute walk to the pier where you can catch the boat to anywhere. We wouldn’t hesitate booking here again. The only downside was that you weren’t allowed to take your dog in the restaurant and we witnessed a guest leaving their dog in their car whist they ate. All in all a very well run friendly hotel with splendid staff.
