How to Plan a Ski Trip to Revelstoke Mountain Resort in British Columbia

"A downtown choice that places guests among shops and restaurants and carries historical character: it’s one of Canada's oldest family-owned and operated hotels and dates to the town’s era as a flourishing railway hub for the Canadian Pacific Railway. The hotel was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s incredibly pet friendly, which was a huge plus for us. The customer service really stood out. Donna was exceptionally kind and thoughtful, and our dogs even received a goody bag! The location is perfect, making everything easy to access. Highly recommend!

My ideal outcome is you book a hotel and get the service and quality you pay for. This hotel went above and beyond. The staff all the staff we encountered were so helpful and kind. The manager must set a good example as she was also so wonderful and helpful. I said to my son I am very picky you know that when it comes to quality service and a comfortable accommodating stay. I don’t think he hears me rave that often as my standards are high. No complaints at this hotel and the breakfast that was ‘FREE’ was delicious.

Really nice Hotel. Donna on the reception desk was very helpful and friendly she greeted us like we were old friends . We travelled along way to get there and we were very pleased to arrive at such a nice Hotel. Lovely room , good facilities, comfortable bed and breakfast included. Nice clean bathroom , good shower and soft towels. The town is not very big and you can hear and see the railway line from the hotel, but we were visiting and we have never seen trains ,like Canadian trains. There was a fitness room and a great little hot tub outside. Weirdly I found sitting in a hot tub at the back of the Hotel in the rain quite relaxing. It was one of the biggest and hottest I've ever been in. More like a swimming pool , you know one of those ones you put in your back garden with a motor in it ? Crazy but fun. There's a posh restaurant and a Pub restaurant there aswell and a dining room for breakfast . We catering the pub in the evening. Lively and really busy . We sat at a high table and had a great dinner. Well worth it . Loud music , the busy bustle of a popular pub , great lagers and good service. Plenty of choice for breakfast , lovely staff refilling as you go along. Cereal , toast and cooked hot food too. All in all a very pleasant stay.

I had a lovely stay at the regent hotel in Revelstoke. The location is hard to beat, the room was amazing, and what really made the difference to me is the quality of the customer service. On that note, special thanks to Barry at the 112 Restaurant & Pub… your attention and kindness was above and beyond any expectations.

Beware! I can’t express how disappointed I was in the room we were assigned at this hotel. We purchased the “ Executive Suite” a single room with two Queen beds, in advance through Booking.com. What we were given was a very tired modified massage rooms ( two separate bed rooms previously used for massage). The bathroom fan continuously ran if the light was on, and you had to step up about 4” into the bathroom. You needed to leave the light on at night due to the step up into the bathroom, but then the fan continued to run…. The floor was slanted. No mini fridge and no offer to provide one for the room, when I complained. No coffee bar, the room smelled. Furniture was very worn and dated. Hopefully other rooms are better represented at this hotel, but do not accept the “so called” Executive Suite modified massage parlor. I feel totally ripped off. Paid way too much. Never again

Rooms are great. The breakfast was sufficient and had a wide spread. They have air conditioning and black out curtains so thoughtful. We ate in the pub downstairs and it was also good. The only thing is since it’s on top of two restaurants it doesn’t have dedicated parking so you have to wait for the lot to get empty and then can park it. There is street parking otherwise.

My husband and I stayed at the Regent for one night. We had a nice spacious room with a king size bed. Bed was very comfortable. Room was nicely appointed. However, I think our room has to be the loudest room in the hotel. DO NOT stay in room #129! It is kiddie corner from the elevator and outside is the entrance to the hotel. The area in front of the elevator seemed to be a congregating place for other guests who thought that it would be a great spot to have conversations in their native language for minutes on end. By 9 pm I had had enough so I opened the door and very nicely asked them to keep it down which they did and I had no problems after. I found out later at breakfast that a big tour bus had stayed at the hotel and they were all on my floor. |The breakfast was supposedly very good. Lots to choose from. |I didn’t find the front clerks overly friendly. They were just kinda doing their job-no more , no less. |It was very centrally located to walk to all the main downtown attractions. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops around the hotel. |Overall, I would stay again but I would not stay in room 129.

So lucky to get the corner suite, double sided with windows. Great view of the mountains and overlooking the pool. Kinda vintage decor, super spacious with the king bed as well as walking around it. Loved the Skoah bathroom amenities, that's nice stuff instead of the no-name, believe theyre a Vancouver or Surrey skin spa back home but I digress. Breakfast buffet was nicer than yr traditional ones, with actual white table cloth and steel utensils yay. Definitely nice part of town, right in the heart, safe to walk around, almost like a ski resort village. Nice lobby and hallway corridor fr parking lot to front desk. Loved their QR hotel directories for things to do and eat in the area.

Yelp
This review is for a buffet dinner held in the Begbie Room of this Regent Hotel. Our tour group enjoyed a very nice buffet dinner at this historic hotel. The Begbie Room is not to be confused with the 112 Restaurant also housed in the hotel. Everything was top quality. The buffet entrees included prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, salmon, chicken, and mushroom risotto. There was a nice, delectable spread of various starters as well as various dessert samplers. Overall, a very enjoyable, comfortable, and delicious buffet style dinner here. Kate, the lady manager here greeted us at the door, helped to attentively serve the group, generally stayed on top of things, and bid us farewell as we left. Kudos and thank you to her, the chef, and the staff for a memorable evening in Revelstoke!

Yelp
Our room had 2 king beds and fully functioning AC, and a view of the train track which my son loved. The shower was nice and big and the beds were super comfortable. Decent pressure. We all slept so well. They even have a hot buffet breakfast which my kids loved. The staff is really friendly. I asked for a travel sized tooth paste as I had run out. Unfortunately they didn't have slippers but that's okay. In the evening there was live music and a mobile candy shop. I would stay here again in future visits.

Yelp
After a long day on the road, we felt very lucky that the Regeant had a room available. We didn't have a reservation, and the gentleman behind the front desk was very kind. We got a King Sized bed for a great rate. We hadn't been here for years. The place had a huge remodel in 2011. It looks great. Even though there is a train track that goes through town, if you close the window, the train noise is at a minimum. The beds are sooo comfy. What a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a multi-day tour and was completely disappointed. At first look the room was decent and clean but the problems started after we came back from dinner. The AC was delicate-if you moved the cord it would randomly turn on and off. The desk lamp didn't work because the knob was removed. The phone did not work - you can only dial extensions but couldn't use the presets like front desk, etc. The worst part was the noise - it started at 10:30pm - loud, thumping, vibrating noise (they call it music). We had to depart the next day at 7am and had already had a long travel day so we wanted to get to bed at a decent time. Since I couldn't use the phone because it was broken I went downstairs to ask to be moved to another room or at least turn down the music. No to both....I understand if its fully booked but they could at least do something about the music. Overall I found this hotel overrated, full of broken appliances, loud/inconsiderate and with a rude/unhelpful staff. Will never recommend.

Yelp
CMH Heli skiing runs a program through this hotel. You can purchase packages for 3-7 days of Heli skiing with accommodations & all meals included through them. The hotel itself was built in 1902 & has a quaint charm about it. It has been remodeled & the rooms are very comfortable & modern now. They kept some original fixtures around the hotel, like an old rotary dial phone & antique cash register, with photos around of how it looked when they first opened, I really like those touches. All of the meals they served were really good, I was impressed & wasn't expecting the attention to detail they put into the meals. Before departing in the morning they offer a yoga class to stretch before your big day Heli skiing (or snowboarding). After your first day they have a happy hour with free drinks at the bar so you can mingle with your instructors & friends. It really is a great program they are running here! If you are looking for the holy grail of Heli skiing or snowboarding this is the place you want to come!

Yelp
nicely remodeled hotel that retains the character of a historic hotel, but the rooms can be noisy due to thin walls and the trains across the street, and the bed was not that comfortable due to over sized pillows that ended up giving me a neck-ache. They do have an excellent breakfast and the rates are reasonable. I might stay here again but only in a room not facing the railway and if they offer down pillows.

Yelp
Not impressed. I was exhausted. I just wanted a room in a clean/non-scary hotel. And I needed a hotel that would accept dogs. (i had my 3 1/2 lb chihuahua with me) After finding a few hotels that accepted dogs, I checked them out and they looked like crack houses. I finally found this hotel and they accepted dogs. (YES!) The hotel itself is cute too, so with that, I went in and booked a room for the night. There is a steakhouse and a pub housed on the main level. I didn't even think anything of it because it wasn't overly noisy. No big deal. So i check in. Get my bags. Go up to my room. So far so good. The room itself was clean and cute. It was absolutely FREEZING cold though. So i cranked the heat up. (didn't help - at all... even with the thermostat up it didnt help) Had a hot bath. Got in PJs and crawled into bed about 8:30. (i had been driving all day, and was trapped on the highway during a blizzard at one point... i was exhausted) 10:30pm comes around. I wake up to the floor vibrating/pulsating beneath my bed and music, BLARING. I don't mean I could hear it through the walls. It was, literally, shaking the floor and it sounded like I was in a nightclub. This wasn't from an inconsiderate neighbour -- this was the freekin' pub downstairs. Apparently they had a "live DJ" that night and this had not been brought up to me during check in. And this was a Tuesday. Why the heck do they have some live DJ on a TUESDAY??? There is no way anyone could sleep through that so I am not sure what the other guests (??) thought, but I imagine they were just as unimpressed. The music went on until 1:45am. My poor dog was terrified the entire time too because it was so loud. I actually called downstairs about midnight to find out when it would be finished. The "24 hour front desk" was not answering the phone though. (actually, come to think of it, they probably couldn't even hear the bloody phone ringing) I called 3 times. No answer. I finally had to go downstairs, in my PJs, hunt down someone (anyone) to help me at the front, and ask when they would be done/beg them to stop. The woman said she'd tell "the guys" tone it down a bit. Hmmm. (they didn't get any quieter and it went on longer than she said it would. When it finally shut down at 1:45, i got some sleep. Got up later that morning so I could get a quick bite from the "complimentary" continental breakfast before I hit the road. Another disappointment. Sad, dry (hard) bagels, a handful of uncut, unripe fruits, a few hardboiled eggs (in shells), and leftover/dregs from a coffee carafe that I had to WAIT for behind staff members of the pub/restaurant/hotel that were filling up their travel/takeaway mugs with. Great customer service. Cheers for that. So... needless to say, my entire experience at this hotel was dreadful. From freezing my tootsies off in my room the entire time, lack of sleep from the pulsating nightclub below, and the sad excuse for a breakfast, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Yelp
Cathy was super helpful at the front desk. Since it was slow we got a free upgraded room with a king sized bed.. Continental breakfast was huge. Clean hot tub. The best service in any hotel I've stayed in!

Yelp
Great night here Asked for a king bed why it away from the bar and that's what we got, a beautiful room Breakfast included the next morning was a buffet, it was superb. Fairly quiet, they came and took our order of scrambled eggs sausages hash browns, as well as unlimited cereal toast fruit and pastries Service from the front desk as well as our server was terrific.

Yelp
Great hotel with an awesome restaurant. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Right next to The Plaza - shops, restaurants, movie theatre, grocery store, and city information.
