Everything about the resort is perfect, and the best part is right into the water! Each independent villa has super comfortable beds and bedding. And each one is spacious throughout with plenty of outdoor space. Also, the distanced proximity of each villa give plenty of privacy. The food is very good for such a remote location - many of the ingredients come right from their garden. They can also accommodate any requests. The service is as you expect from Fiji - friendly, helpful and empathetic. Finally the location - best snorkeling in this part of the world right off the pier. This should be the highlight of your trip - imagine no booking, wondering if the weather will be ok, you can jump in any time to enjoy the beauty below the surface.

What an outstanding vacation we had at the Remote Resort! This definitely ranks up at the top of my vacations. It is the one of the most unique place I've been! We celebrated my 70th birthday and our 45th anniversary and the staff made them both so special! ||This was our first trip to Fiji. I wanted to find a spot with snorkeling comparable to the Society Islands. We flew direct to Nadi from DFW & caught Fiji link to Taveuni, so all in all we spent a bit over 24 hours from our house to RR. We spent 9 nights in the Royal Retreat. I loved the view, the space, the splash pool, and outdoor shower. The flooring around the pool does get slippery when wet, so care should be taken. The beds were very comfortable. I took my own pillow because I think I'm a princess. It was very humid and hot while we were there and I was so thankful for the AC. It's a small unit up on the wall and I was worried the first day, but by pulling the drapes and shutting off the bathroom we were able to keep the room cool. We were mostly out during the day or in the splash pool. There is no wifi in the room, but I didn't miss it at all. They do have wifi up at the Pavilion where you go for meals or drinks so you can stay connected. ||The food was good and plentiful, and I loved the different private spots to eat dinner each night. The fruit plate at breakfast was so good and fresh! They grow their own pineapple, papayas, bananas, coconut, lemongrass for tea, and I'm sure many other things. I especially loved the lunches and they had so many good desserts! Standout dishes to me: Eggs Benedict, Rourou Soup (so good!), Thai Salad, Roti wraps, shrimp kabobs, chickpea, coconut and cashew curry, and the island fruit parfait. ||I wanted excellent snorkeling and I sure got it! I recommend you do all the snorkeling excursions if you are into that. I enjoyed everything I did and the picnics were nice! We went to the Rainbow Reef twice and Vilisi and Paulo took me to different reefs each time. I did the Nakuna and Sau Bay snorkel, my husband and I did the Kioa Island Snorkel and picnic, and I tried twice to see the giant mantas. I was disappointed they didn't show, but got to go to two different wonderful snorkel spots. My husband wasn't able to snorkel so Paulo went with me on the house reef which I really appreciated. ||One of the best parts of The RR is the staff. They were so warm, welcoming and kind. I felt so at home there and miss them already. I have never felt so taken care of and they truly felt like friends! Vilisi and Paulo took me on so many wonderful underwater adventures and Ili, Maria, Sia, Valeria, Faye, Mela, Zoe, and everyone else were just fabulous. The staff made our last night so special celebrating our anniversary. That will always be a special memory. ||I was afraid it would rain a lot while we were there since we were there at the end of rainy season, but we didn't have a drop of rain the whole time. We saw rain on the surrounding islands, but it always went around. We had 2 days of rougher water and cloudy underwater visibility, but it was the new moon and most of the time was beautiful above and under the water. ||The stars at night were also breathtaking with no light pollution! There were so many to see and the Milky Way was more visible than I've ever seen. The Southern Cross was a treat I don't usually get to see living in the northern hemisphere. ||I really cannot say enough good things about the Remote Resort. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I do hope to return to this beautiful paradise. All I can say is if you are considering going, do it!!

This was my first trip to Fiji, and I went for the diving on Rainbow Reef. |The positive reviews of the resort, the staff and the food/drinks are all accurate. This is truly a magical place that is perfect for those seeking peace, quiet and tranquility. I can highly recommend The Remote Resort.|However, there is also something very special about its 'on site" dive operation that not everyone writes about. This resort also offers a concierge scuba and snorkel operation that is custom tailored to meet the expectations of its guest. With multiple boats, knowledgeable crews, high end gear, all of your needs are accommodated. Wilson, the Team lead, has created an operation like no other I have experienced. His commitment to safety is greatly appreciated. His knowledge of the Reef system is unbelievable. Moreover, his attention to his staff and the guests is sensational!!!|I would go back today!!

We spent 1 week at The Remote Resort and it went too fast! We had an excellent stay!We would like to thanks Graeme for the Open Water of our son. We did some very nice dives (colorful corals and tons of fishes) thanks to Wilson! We appreciated his knowledge of the environment and the currents. The entire diving team was really nice. We had such a great time! A big thank you too to Helen, Vilisi, captains Kim and PK. ||The food is delicious and diverse! Applause to the kitchen team!|The staff is friendly and attentive.|Thanks to Sia, Ili, Valeria and Faye for their kindness.|We enjoyed going to visit the village of Vunikura! People are really nice and our son had a lot of fun with the kids from the village!||Vinaka to the entire Remote team!!

The Remote Resort was the most perfect honeymoon destination we could have ever wished for. We stayed in an Ocean Villa for 9 nights, and everything about our stay was perfect. Listening to the sounds of the ocean and forest at night as we went to sleep, and feeling so disconnected from our busy day to day lives was wonderful. |For us, the highlights were: the untouched paradise that Remote is located in, the small size and privacy of Remote, the outstanding people who work there (they feel like our family now!), the amazing food, the best snorkelling we have ever experienced, and the menu of recommended experiences. Our plunge pool was perfect for soaking in, we spent time hopping between the day bed, loungers, and plunge pool reading our books, when we weren't out exploring. The Spa is also lovely, open air and in a private location on the resort - we enjoyed massages while listening to the sound of the waves and sometimes also light rain. We left the Resort feeling relaxed, refreshed, healthy, and so connected to each other. |We highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to truly escape and unwind.|A huge thank you to the Remote team for making this the best holiday of our lives (and we have travelled alot over the years!).

Came for a day trip from Savusavu town - they pick you up at 6am to do two dives at rainbow reef. It’s the only way to dive there without staying nearby. Turned out to be some of the best dives I’ve had around the world (the Great White Wall and Rainbow Passage). We liked it so much that we returned the second day for another 6am pick up. Graeme was our guide and he was amazing. Thanks again! There is also a nice lunch at the resort after so you get some time to see this beautiful place.

I went to the remote resort as a solo female traveler to get my padi certification and to vacation. I truly cant rave enough about this resort. My padi instructor was Graeme and I truly could not have gotten a better instructor. Valisi was absolutely an amazing cordinator. From diving with me on my first great white wall dive to chatting with me at the bar. Faye was an amazing dive buddy as well. Maria is such an amazing massuese. Valeria was such a hoot. The rooms were everything and more. I was concerned id feel lonely on my first solo trip and i never had a moment i felt that. Dan did such an amazing job assembling this team and building a resort that is truly a dream. Also the food is to DIE FOR! I cant give the resort and the kind people the correct amount of stars bc it should be more than five.

We had the most amazing time on our holiday; the entire team at the Remote Resort couldn’t have been kinder; Vilesi, Maria, Paolo, Valeria, the whole diving team, everyone went out of their way to ensure that guests were having a perfect stay. Great food and snorkling, and amazing diving! Would very much recommend and would love to come back in the future. Vinaka!
