Yelp
I came with a large group and was seated upstairs on a long table. We ordered the following
Seafood platter - 2 Lobster tails, shrimp, oysters and crab claws. The lobster tails and oysters were ok, nothing special, the crab claws were bland, the shrimp cocktail was very tasty and had a good texture.
Butchers board - Was interesting, a steakhouse version of a charcuterie board. It came with sausage, sliced pork slathered in BBQ sauce, Bri and feta cheese and cornbread. The favorites were the sausage and cornbread, I'd order those on their own. The pork was ok, I think it could have rested more before before being sliced.
Tuna Tostada - Basically Ahi poke on a tostada chip. The problem is that the flavor is too intense. Too much sauce or left sitting in the sauce for too long, it should be tossed in the sauce right before plating so that the sauce is just on the outside and not so intense it was overly salty with soy sauce.
Crispy Mushrooms - Shimeji (Beech) mushrooms deep fried in a tempura style batter. Very good, crispy batter, a bit oily but tasty and the sauces went well with it. Its deep fried so its not a light dish, but very tasty.
Duck Confit salad - The salad was pretty standard and the duck had a very crispy skin but the duck itself wasn't very flavorful
For my entree I had the bone in wagyu ribeye, it was perfectly cooked and very tender. Usually at higher end steakhouses I notice that they under cook the meat so I always have to order it more done than I want. (I always look at pics to know how to order my meat) A true medium rare is 135º which is pink inside not red like most high end places. Here they properly temp the meat at least by my standards. it came with broccolini and mashed potatoes.
We ordred a large bacon Mac n cheese, which was enough for multiple people. It was very cheesy and the bacon came in 1/4" chunks of bacon not thinly sliced bacon pieces so that was a nice surprise.
We got a few cocktails, the winners of the night were the Frankie Wallbanger; Vodka, bergamot, blood orange, apricot, and citrus, Taste like a Jolly Rancher! The other standout was the Dreamsicle, vodka, aperol, vanilla, orange and cream, Taste exactly like a creamsicle!
For dessert we got the s'mores, bread pudding and cheese cake. The s'mores was the definite winner, the warm brownie came in a cast iron pan topped with ice cream, marshmallow and chocolate sauce. Theres a nice balance between the warm chocolate brownie and cold vanilla ice cream, the gooey marshmallow is also off set by the chocolate sauce. The bread pudding was also good didn't stand out as much as the smores. The cheesecake was pretty standard, I'd suggest the other 2 desserts over the cheese cake.
Service was on point, they gave good suggestions with the desserts and sides. I could see parking being an issue because its in the middle of hotel circle but we had an early reservation so I easily found a spot in the parking lot. Some of my friends who showed up later had to park on the street. The place has an upscale lodge feel. As a steak house I think they do steaks and cocktails very well, im not sold on some of the other non steak items.
I'll be back to check out their happy hour.
