ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Don't be fooled by the architecture. The rooms and service here are outrageously BAD. ||Our room and one night stay was so bad I refused to pay and it was agreed that payment WOULD NOT be taken; in my mind ,acknowledging that my complaints were very valid.||2 weeks later they stole the fees from my bank account. ||What were my complaints you may ask. They range from the debauched French manager and his questionable and lengthy orientation to my Nieces blouse, filthy room, disgusting bedding, (we put towels over the sheets) being forced to eat dinner (that was far from great), on the patio in amongest dozens of cigarette ends, that our dogs(including a service animal) had to lie in. ||( Despite having one service dog we were forbidden from eating in the restaurant as our other dog is not yet in training). ||Our alternative was to eat in the Grand Hall that turned out to be low bucket chairs in the reception area.||We even went as far as to have fellow guests stealing our drinks. To mention just a few!||The whole hotel needs a severe deep clean. I certainly wouldn't sleep in their beds again. ||When that is done it might be nice to have some tasteful decor as it has none. ||On my return I took quite some time to write to the Manager expressing my complaints. It feel on deaf ears. Twice I made my thoughts known to the receptionist, who twice told me she'd speak to her manager. AGAIN DEAF EARS.|| I would suggest that reputation is built on customer satisfaction and repeat clientele. Sadly neither of these will be applied to my experience at Stoke Rochford.||What a shame it is to waste such a building on these sadly low standards.||The really sad thing was that I had travelled with my Niece who I hadn't seen since a child and who I had promised some luxury. We only had the one night together that was more nightmare than fairy tale reunion. As her Aunt I was embarrassed.||I certainly DO NOT RECOMMEND.
