Simply out of this world, treated like Royalty. The villa was perfect with a pool. Magic sunsets, wildlife both in and out of the water. Food was amazing. Swimming with sharks and the rays was incredible.

My wife and I stayed at The Residence Maldives Falhumaafushi for nine nights on our honeymoon, and it was truly the perfect experience from start to finish. The resort felt romantic, relaxing, and luxurious, and even though we got an affordable price, everything far exceeded our expectations. Nothing felt cheap or lacking, and we felt completely taken care of the entire time. We stayed in a water villa, which was absolutely stunning — private, peaceful, and beautifully maintained with direct access to the lagoon and breathtaking views every morning. We chose the half-board plan with breakfast and dinner included, which ended up being ideal for us since the meals were generous and delicious enough that we never needed lunch. The breakfast buffet was always great, and for dinner we especially loved Long Island/Li Bai, which offered both Western and Asian menus and quickly became our favorite dining spot. During our stay, we did two massages at the spa, went snorkeling, and took a dolphin cruise — the dolphin cruise was easily our favorite, with champagne, plenty of dolphin activity, and hilarious, engaging guides who made the whole thing unforgettable. While nothing extra was done for our honeymoon specifically, the kindness and attentiveness of the staff made us feel special every single day. They were incredible — remembering our names and villa number after just a couple of days, always greeting us with a smile, and going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The only challenge was the long travel time from the U.S., which involved two major flights, a short domestic hop, and a boat transfer, so I’d recommend anyone traveling from the States try to break it up with a stop in Europe or Dubai if possible. Also, be mindful of luggage weight limits, especially if you’re flying Etihad — they weigh both checked and carry-on bags, though our smaller handheld items weren’t weighed. Overall, this resort was the perfect mix of fun and tranquility, with just enough to do without ever feeling busy or rushed. We’d recommend Falhumaafushi over Dhigurah for its quieter, more intimate atmosphere, though you can still visit Dhigurah anytime since the two islands are connected. If you’re coming here, stay as long as you can to make the travel time worth it, definitely book the dolphin cruise, and be ready to completely relax and disconnect — The Residence Maldives Falhumaafushi made our honeymoon everything we dreamed of and more, and we’d go back in a heartbeat.

I had such a wonderful time at The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi. The views were stunning, and I felt completely spoilt with the amazing service and the overwater bungalow with its own pool—definitely a highlight!||||The staff really made us feel like part of the family. They always remembered our room number and our favourite orders, and most of the time we’d have a fresh drink before we even thought to ask. Finishing off the holiday with a spa massage was the perfect touch, and I’ve come home with so many special memories from the Maldives.

Our girls’ trip to The Residence Falhumaafushi was nothing short of perfection. From the stunning scenery and luxurious accommodations to the incredible cuisine and unforgettable excursions, every detail of this resort was flawless.||The resort beautifully blends natural beauty with sustainability. We were so impressed by the resort’s commitment to preserving the island’s environment — including the Earth Basket garden, which supplies fresh produce and herbs used in the restaurants.||Our overwater villa offered breathtaking views and was thoughtfully designed for both comfort and relaxation. The air-conditioned rooms provided a perfect retreat after spending time in the warm island air. Dining across the property was a feast not just for the palate but for the eyes — every meal came with spectacular ocean views.||The spa on Falhumaafushi island was an experience in itself — serene, beautifully designed, and home to one of the best massages I’ve ever had. We even took part in a sunset yoga session, which was pure magic.||Getting around the two islands by bicycle was such a thoughtful and fun touch — it made exploring effortless, and though buggies were available, we loved the freedom our bikes offered.||We took several excursions, including the desert island trip, a local village visit, a sunset dolphin cruise, and snorkeling — and every single one was amazing. The dolphins were incredibly active, and during snorkeling, we swam alongside sharks, turtles, eagle rays, and countless colorful fish.||A special thank you to Shairfan, our guide for the snorkeling, dolphin, and village tours. His knowledge, passion for marine life, and videography skills made our adventures even more memorable. It’s clear he genuinely loves what he does and the ocean he calls home.||This trip exceeded every expectation. The Residence Falhumaafushi is a true paradise — tranquil, sustainable, and unforgettable.

The many positive reviews already tell a great story.||We stayed here for 2 weeks to celebrate my husband's big birthday, joined by good friends from the UK for part of the stay.||It's a much bigger resort than we usually choose..preferring the barefoot authenticity of small islands. That said, this one was fabulous.||We loved:|Our room 337, a Water villa with pool. The villa was huge and very well appointed.||The staff. I had intended to name check several, but don't want to leave anyone out. The Falhumaa staff were exceptional. Going out of their way to ensure we had the best experience. Also Archana who checked us in and helped ensure our friends were given an adjacent villa and that hubby's birthday was a wonderful day of celebration!||The food and drinks were superb. So much choice, although I was disappointed not to have evening/ lunchtime buffets occasionally ( due to low occupancy, which I fully appreciate). Sometimes, it's good to pick a few tasty morsels rather than have to face a full menu choice!||Our visits to the a la carte restaurants were fantastic and both food and service were top notch.||The reef was stunning BUT to get to the drop off from our villa was quite a swim and tough going when swimming against the current. The rewards were worth it. Leopard shark, nurse sharks, lemon shark, eagle rays, the usual fish soup and oh so many turtles!||The reef at Dhigurah ( access from the dive jetty) was easier and equally rewarding.||The bikes were fun too!||The 'could do better' bits...||We fed this back at the time of our stay. The first one particularly.|The pool at Dhigurah had beautiful cabanas but absolutely no shade over them nor around the pool, no parasols either. | The strength of the sun, being almost equatorial makes this completely unacceptable. Indeed we saw many people who had sun burn.|Management assured us this would be addressed ..though it wasn't during our 2 week stay ||The second suggestion, from a safety perspective is to have a general entry/exit ladder on each jetty.|Whilst snorkeling, a storm blew in and quickly whipped up the waves - whilst very competent swimmers, getting back to our particular villa in order to exit was very difficult.. it also would mean easier access to the Falhumafushi reef for those not staying in Water Villas ||All of that said, It's a stunning resort and apart from high winds, our 2 week August break was blessed with 12 days of sunshine.| We enjoyed the islands so much that we are returning next year, though this time to Dhigurah.

My wife and I have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Residence a Falhumaafushi in the Maldives and we absolutely loved it. Everything was exceptional from rooms, to service and food and drinks. The resort is small but big enough between the two islands that it never feels over crowded. We would highly recommend a visit here without hesitation.

It is shocking that this so-called 5 star resort does not respect its customers, they 100% ignore you after you book with them. Before I book, I emailed some questions and concerns to them and got some decent replies. So I decided to go ahead and book this resort. After I book and paid the deposit, I have additional requests and questions, so I emailed them, and there was no reply after a week - not even an acknowledgement of my email. 2 weeks later, I have sent a total of 3 emails to them and there was still no reply, and no acknowledgement. Why do they treat a customer with a booking this way? I have already paid my deposit with my credit card so I am not there to waste their time, I genuinely have questions and requests, I am planning this trip as a special occasion, so my requests are important to me. I have never encountered a 5-star resort that ignores their customers, I think this is very rude and inconsiderate and I cannot imagine what kind of service I will encounter when I step into their resort. I am going to cancel my reservation and claim back my deposit. I'd rather try my luck with other resorts, there are so many luxurious resorts in Maldives.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolute Paradise – The Residence Maldives||We arrived late into Malé due to issues with Emirates, but from the moment we landed, The Residence team looked after us superbly. A representative met us straight away, reassured us that everything was taken care of, and even arranged access to the airport lounge while we waited about 8 hours for our connecting flight. We were able to rest comfortably, and the same representative personally walked us to check-in to make sure we got our flight.||We arrived at Kooddoo Airport around 1am, where another friendly representative greeted us and escorted us straight to the speedboat. On arrival at the island, we were taken directly to our villa and served a delicious meal — such a thoughtful touch after a long journey.||From that moment on, everything was exceptional. The staff, the accommodation, the food, and the island itself were all absolutely incredible. Every detail at The Residence is five-star — from the warm hospitality to the breathtaking surroundings.||We’re already planning to return next year, but next time we’ll stay at least 10 days — you need that long just to truly appreciate this slice of paradise!||⸻
