Beware! Lower Ground Room. Nearly “Basement” for privacy.||With good customer reviews as well as “nice” room description of the hotel, I tried to stay at this hotel. Surprisingly our room was located at the lower ground level. To reach the room we had to walk at the cozy hallway and multiple stairs after getting down by an elevator. The room was set clean; but the two windows showed pedestrians and cars they were very close to us. I talked to the receptionists, and they said all rooms are subject to availability.||To keep our privacy for my wife we needed to close the blinds and count on the room lights and air conditioners during our stay. We had not excepted any good view, but the room was beyond our expectation and put us at deep disappointment. The floor of the room is approximately five feet lower than the street level. (See pictures.) The hotel seems to have come from converting multiple old apartments and made the modernized hotel appearance. I saw at least 18 rooms at the lower ground level and a couple of fire-safe doors. At the reception level I saw a couple of staircases for different directions. Before the pandemic I had stayed at a couple of hotels in the same area; but I had not noticed any hotel rooms under the ground. ||The room description of the hotel website or online travel site does not address any potential of such under-ground guest rooms. The description shows only beautiful windows-view shutting down the bad potential of the underground rooms. I feel the hotel’s description hiding the fact is fraudulent business.

I would highly recommend staying in this hotel. This was my third time staying here, and I didn't regret it. It is my home whenever I am in London, and I am made to feel as such. I recognize several of the same employees who have been here for all of my visits over the past few years. They are kind and helpful. In fact, they are holding a few items in a tote bag for me while I travel to South Africa since I am connecting through London on my way back home. It helps free up space in my luggage since they're holding my souvenirs for me. That's going above and beyond.||The location is excellent. It is very close to the Earl's Court tube station, but the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful. I never had a problem with noise. It's also close to the Brompton Cemetery park which I really enjoyed for my morning workouts. It's an oasis of calm in the heart of the city. This is also a good location because you're right outside of Central London, but still very close to everything via tube. This is a lovely neighborhood as well. The architecture is stunning. ||I would recommend the bigger rooms because here in London, space is at a premium. However, I've stayed in the bigger rooms before, and the extra money isn't that much, and I think it's worth it.

Great location and great nights sleep. Very safe neighbourhood and a short distance from Earls Court Station. Went to the Sabrina Carpenter concert in Hyde Park and also Come Alive Circus show. Great location for both. Had a bunk bed room and was very comfortable. Nice to have the option of a fridge and microwave to do own meals if needed.

Absolutely amazing hotel in Kensington. Quiet, very clean, easily accessible by bus or subway, very convenient kitchen for a quick meal. The most important thing to me was the staff: friendly and willing to go above and beyond to help guests. I got a parcel delivered after I checked out and they helped me redirect it to another address, even offering to print tags as needed and dealing with the mail person. I’d be forever grateful for their help and I’ll be back ASAP! THANK YOU!

Stayed there for few a few nights with my family of 3 in superior room. Staff was friendly and location of hotel is great. Complimentary drinks every evening are a nice touch. However, the good things about the hotel stop there. The AC is old and has an unbearable high pitched noise when ac fan is on low. While the hotel is renovated, the structure is old with very poor padding between the floors. Everytime the hotel guests staying above us moved, we would hear our ceiling shake and squeak which made it very difficult to sleep. Barely slept the last night as the guests staying above us was active between midnight and 4:30am. The shower was designed with no shower curtain but with a separator that runs half way across the tub and is not fixed to h the tub (ie it swings in and out of tub). While the design looks nice, it is not practical as the bathroom floor is soaked throughout after every use. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel or return as guests which is a shame.

Quietly situated in an upper middle class neighbourhood near Earl’s Court underground we enjoyed our lovely room with its walkout patio furnished with table and chairs (room L6). Courteous staff all around, we were helped with a luggage issue by Daniel who promptly rectified the problem. Clean and well appointed room amenities enhanced our experience. The hotel made a special effort to mark our anniversary which was completely unexpected. The underground made it a breeze to get around London including a trip to Greenwich. It was a great place to stay for us. Highly recommended.

I stayed in room 203 in April 2025 and had a really nice day. The reception team was exceptional and very nice - I think the man was named Ayush? The check-in process was seamless and I got early check-in as a member so I would recommend you booking through their website directly. While the room was small, I expected as much so it did not bother me at all. I also really enjoyed the fact that the room was very modern and extremely clean. All the finishes were excellent and I have no complaints. The area is very safe and close to Earls court tube station. OH and they have Molton Brown products and a Paul Smith lamp!

Highly recommended ! Our experience at the hotel was excellent, and I would strongly suggest it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located accommodation. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay for our family, including our 5-year-old son. The hotel is situated in a calm and quiet area, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. Its proximity to Earl’s Court metro station (just a short walk away) made commuting easy, with central London reachable within 20 minutes by metro. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional hotel staff. They were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience. Overall, The Resident Kensington is an excellent choice for travelers seeking convenience, comfort, and great service. It is especially well-suited for families due to its quiet environment and spacious rooms. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.
