We will dearly miss The Resident Kensington. As expected, it was an absolutely incredible stay and experience. We could not have chosen a better hotel for ourselves and our guests for our wedding trip to London. The rooms were beautiful, we were welcomed immediately, each guest received a wonderful fruit basket and welcome card and gift that set the tone early. We had nothing but kind and generous service throughout the duration of our stay. The rooms were excellent, and the amenities offered by the hotel (laundry, dry cleaning, room service, discounts at restaurants, etc.) were thoughtful and enhanced our stay. A huge thank you to all staff at The Resident Kensington for being a bright spot in our trip, we will miss you and hope to find a new “go to” Resident Hotel in London for future trips.

Absolutely amazing hotel in Kensington. Quiet, very clean, easily accessible by bus or subway, very convenient kitchen for a quick meal. The most important thing to me was the staff: friendly and willing to go above and beyond to help guests. I got a parcel delivered after I checked out and they helped me redirect it to another address, even offering to print tags as needed and dealing with the mail person. I’d be forever grateful for their help and I’ll be back ASAP! THANK YOU!

Quietly situated in an upper middle class neighbourhood near Earl’s Court underground we enjoyed our lovely room with its walkout patio furnished with table and chairs (room L6). Courteous staff all around, we were helped with a luggage issue by Daniel who promptly rectified the problem. Clean and well appointed room amenities enhanced our experience. The hotel made a special effort to mark our anniversary which was completely unexpected. The underground made it a breeze to get around London including a trip to Greenwich. It was a great place to stay for us. Highly recommended.

I just wrapped up a week long stay at the The Resident Kensington and I have nothing but positive things to say! Firstly, the room and cleanliness of it was top of the line, I had a single room which was more than enough room for me and my things as well. I know for some it may be too small but it was just right for me and my partner. The room was clean, stocked with towels, and tons of space in the restroom! Huge plus as well for the personalized card the staff gave me as well as chocolate and a tote bag upon my arrival, which was above and beyond! The neighborhood and overall hotel was quiet, safe, and secure. It was great being so close to Earl’s Courts tube station to hop on to quickly go around but plenty of things were also within walking distance (15-20, if not less). I am planning and looking forward to staying again with The Resident and I could not recommend this hotel more!

Highly recommended hotel with a friendly staff and excellent location in Kensington. Be aware that the small room is actually very small, hardly feasible for two persons and luggage. But this is clearly indicated on their website, it was my mistake to reserve it and the staff fluently helped to change for a larger one.

Beware! Lower Ground Room. Nearly “Basement” for privacy. With good customer reviews as well as “nice” room description of the hotel, I tried to stay at this hotel. Surprisingly our room was located at the lower ground level. To reach the room we had to walk at the cozy hallway and multiple stairs after getting down by an elevator. The room was set clean; but the two windows showed pedestrians and cars they were very close to us. I talked to the receptionists, and they said all rooms are subject to availability. To keep our privacy for my wife we needed to close the blinds and count on the room lights and air conditioners during our stay. We had not except any good view, but the room was beyond our expectation and put us at deep disappointment. The floor of the room is approximately five feet lower than the street level. (See pictures.) The hotel seems to have come from converting multiple old apartments and made the modernized hotel appearance. I saw at least 18 rooms at the lower ground level and a couple of fire-safe doors. At the reception level I saw a couple of staircases for different directions. Before the pandemic I had stayed at a couple of hotels in the same area; but I had not noticed any hotel rooms under the ground. The room description of the hotel website or online travel site does not address any potential of such under-ground guest rooms. The description shows only beautiful windows-view shutting down the bad potential of the underground rooms. I feel the hotel’s description hiding the fact is fraudulent business.

I stayed in room 203 in April 2025 and had a really nice day. The reception team was exceptional and very nice - I think the man was named Ayush? The check-in process was seamless and I got early check-in as a member so I would recommend you booking through their website directly. While the room was small, I expected as much so it did not bother me at all. I also really enjoyed the fact that the room was very modern and extremely clean. All the finishes were excellent and I have no complaints. The area is very safe and close to Earls court tube station. OH and they have Molton Brown products and a Paul Smith lamp!

My daughter booked through a 3rd party and was promised a king or 2 twins. We weren't too happy to share a queen. The room was tiny (good-sized bathroom), BUT we had everything we needed. The mattress was AMAZING. I'm still raving about it. At the end of a day, full of sightseeing, it was great to come back to. Friendly staff. Great location.
