Hana has surprisingly few places open for breakfast. We were very grateful that the Restaurant at Hana Maui was open, so we didn’t have to hike the Pipiwai on an empty stomach. The food was pricey, but it was high quality and delicious. The papaya boat was easily the best we had on Maui…but again, not cheap. The tables on the lanai overlook the lush grounds and the ocean beyond - such a beautiful and relaxing way to start our day.

This is just a breakfast spot for the Hyatt but the food options are great and the views are killer.

We stayed at the resort for a few days in January and tried lots of menu items given the low season and fewer offerings nearby. They deliver to your bungalow and quickly, and the staff are fantastic. They encourage reservations, even if you're staying at the property. We didn't love the burger, and thought the steak salad was over-dressed. Overall we loved the breakfast, shrimp pasta, fresh fish, pork chop, and poke nachos. All of our cocktails and desserts were delicious. Vaccine cards required for dining in.

We booked a “goal” to get us through the 3hour trek from West Maui to Hana. The property and restaurant didn’t disappoint. The weather wasn’t ideal which made dining a bit chillier than usual, but that’s to be expected. The service was excellent, but doesn’t encapsulate the interaction. Folks were just plain old nice. They wanted to chat, made eye contact. I wanted to use the word “golly” a lot. It was a long, horrid, visually stunning drive. The serenity of this meal was a balm to the spirits before hitting the road to see the gas scam that is the Hana Highway. The best part of my trip was this meal. I could have stayed in Hana all day.

We loved this place, the staff made this place even better. Our server was so pleasant and friendly, and the lady that seated us was so very friendly, I wish I could remember their names. The chef has some great skills with flavours... I had one of the best salads of my life. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

We had breakfast here while passing by. The moco loco was delicious. Walked around the resort. Would love to stay over night just to unwind and relax.

Well, the service is exemplary. The food is mediocre. I had tuna poke - it was ok - slightly slimy. My friend ordered a caesar salad with grilled mahi mahi. It was cold and raw in the middle. We sent it back. It came out again raw inside. I had crispy beef. It was alright. Sauce wasn't very good. We were given a free trio of coconut milk ice cream, which was heavenly. Our servers were exceptional, the food was not, especially for the extraordinarily high prices you pay for food after dark!!!

So there are not many dinner options in Hana unfortunately. Since we were staying at Travasa we decided to come here for dinner. We actually stood at the entrance for a long time because there was no one there to seat us!! It then took another 10+ minutes for our server to show up. They told us they were understaffed, it definitely showed! We had the garlic shrimp as an appetizer and it was delicious!!!! I highly recommend it! They give a small slice of toast to soak up the buttery sauce and it just isn't enough! We asked for more and were told it costs $1 each for a slice! Whoa!!! We got them anyway since we weren't sure how long dinner would take! For dinner i had the seafood pasta which had mahi mahi and shrimp ( only 2!). It was a similar sauce to the shrimp appetizer and was supposed to have chili flakes but there weren't any. It did taste really good though, especially with the fennel! We were too tired for dessert but the lilikoi cheesecake sounded good!
