It's always a treat to stop here on the way home after a day in Yosemite National Park. They have great food and an excellent bar selection. Always have the best beers to choose from. The staff are always very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. This property is gorgeous and is worth the stop. When heading home down Highway 120, you won't come to any other restaurant that's comparable until you reach Oakdale.

Stopped in for dinner around 6:30 pm on Friday and had under a 5 minute wait. We tried their Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches with fries. Everything was delicious and although our server was busy, she did a good job. Beautiful resort and nice restaurant.

We were in Yosemite on a Friday night and everything was crowded with 1 hour+ wait times. Drove out of the valley to this peaceful resort and was given a 10 minute wait. The kids played in the game room while we waited to be seated. The food was better than anything I’ve eaten in Yosemite valley. Portions were fair. My teenage son loved his El Capitan Bison burger and struggled to finish it. You are paying full Yosemite prices, but that’s part of California. Other favorites in the family were the salmon and the fish and chips. We have a celiac/gluten-free in the family and they were able to accommodate our needs.

We were very impressed by the food and service at this restaurant. The menu has a wide selection, including plenty of vegetarian choices. Food is exceptional, and the desserts are even better. Service was impeccable even on a crowded holiday weekend. Will definitely come back to this place next time I visit Yosemite.

Good food close to Yosemite Valley. We stopped here on the way back from firefall viewing, and the food was extremely delicious. We started with chicken wings and tomato soup. Both were very delicious. The wings are spicy and come with a side of celery. For the main course we ordered black bean burger(surprisingly delicious), Philly cheese steak and poke. Except poke the rest came with a side of fries and the burger also has pickle. We came in extremely hungry and the portion size was so big that we had leftovers.

This place was like an oasis in the desert. Even if the west entrance of Yosemite Park is blocked, it's very important for me to be able to sit down and have a Guinness beer after the trail. Restaurants, shops and bars, outdoor bonfires and cute gardens are great. I think it's a good place to stop for a while and take a walk and rest

Had a really great lunch here. The staff were friendly and the space is beautiful. My table ordered philly cheese steak (best I've had?), poke bowl, tacos, and a burger. Everyone loved their food. Will be back!

Delicious food, friendly staff and really great relaxed lodge atmosphere. Portions are pretty big, definitely keep that in mind. My husband and I ordered Caesar salad, Grilled Broccoli and Bolognese to split and had a good amount left over. Wish they had some more healthy options.

Yelp
Nice service. Nothing fancy. Good location. But Rush Creek might want to do their research before calling their two room apartments "villas". Villas are stand alone houses or casitas. These are far from it. Paper thin walls on all sides. Don't be misguided by this over- promised hotel room.

Yelp
Hubs and I stayed at RCL 10/30-11/2 and we just loved everything about it! It's clear what the values here are... family centric, sustainable, community focused... Our room was beautiful, the check in staff was super helpful, the general store (while a little cramped for bagel making) was very well stocked, the grounds were beautiful, the scents pumped into common spaces were subtle and quite nice, the tavern was a great place to eat and catch the games, the water filling station is well water and it tastes so good, the muffins in the general store are super moist, the game room was a nice after dinner diversion, the rec guide was SOOOO helpful and pointed us toward hikes I'm not sure we would have done w/out the guidance, the twilight spa was a great opportunity to wind down (Zed's tour sealed the deal), and the food was overall quite good. I don't want to deduct any stars because we were soooo happy here, so consider these things as simple information... if you are adverse to kids and the noise they bring, avoid booking at a time when kids are likely to be around. It was quiet as could be Wed/Thurs night. By Fri, night the game room was being destroyed, and the pool was overrun. The restaurant prices are high; the portions are enormous... could easily shave off a 1/3 of the serving size of everything and reduce the prices. There is no TV in the room which scared me at first... by day two I didn't miss it one ounce. The location is perfect! Easy access to Big Oak Flat entrance. Chains available in the general store should they be required. Love love it here!

Yelp
Stayed here for one weekend night and was able to experience the hotel, restaurants and the spa. Hotel- stayed in the main lodge on the first floor right near the entrance. Surprisingly didn't hear too much foot traffic. The room itself is fine with a balcony but that is right on the main footpath of the property. The biggest disappointment and what put a sour taste in my mouth is that there were dirty, STAINED towels left behind in one of the black storage bins. I notified the front desk who gave a complimentary drink credit and told us it would be removed. But when we got back from our meal, the towels were still there!!! Horrified. Dining- ate at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and tavern for lunch. Breakfast was included in room rate. Got the steak and eggs, and corned beef hash. Both came with hash browns. All in all, pretty good dishes. Real chunks of corned beef, and the rib eye steak wasn't bad. Dinner- got the cioppino which actually was delicious! Salty tomato garlicky broth with couple baguette slices, and filled with fish, scallops, mussels. Also got the mushroom flatbread which exceeded expectations. Lunch at the tavern- fish n chips and lamb shawarma. Fish n chips were overpriced at almost $30 but was a nice sized fish. Lamb wrap was good and had nice harissa kick. Side salad was actually decent and mixed greens with tomato and radishes. Spa- for a facial and deep tissue massage both of which were fantastic. Would come again just for the spa. Day use of spa is also nice with steam room, sauna, hot tub and lounging area. Come early in morning to avoid crowds. All in all- would come back for the spa and maybe food, but probably would prefer to stay inside the park given the horrible maintenance of the hotel room.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Yosemite in over three decades. When I was told I was going there for a wedding, I had a look of shock on my face. I guess I only knew that area to be of a campground and dirt and wild animals, but Yosemite is sooo huge. We stayed at Rush Creek Lodge for the wedding, which was beyond nice. Everything about this property was lovely. The staff, the food, the rooms.....anything and everything was over the top. Kudos to Jamie who was our dedicated server for the wedding's welcome dinner Thursday, and then our server for dinner post wedding. She was sooo on it. The rooms are sooo nice. We didn't pay for it as my hubby was the officiant, but honestly, whatever the price was, it was worth it. They must have a 5-start chef bc breakfast, lunch and dinner were all excellent. The food was not only really good, but you can tell quality was top notch. Our welcome dinner reminded me of a meal I had at the Fairmont. The steak was so tender you can cut it with a fork. Our room was spacious and had a great view overlooking the pool. The room has a fridge, safe, super spacious bathroom, AC that was nice and quiet, and a long deck where we ate most of our lunches. Check-in was easy and there was plenty of parking. There is a gym, although they encourage you to do a lot of outdoor activities. They have two pelotons, two treadmills and one elliptical. The weights are light, I think 20lbs at most. I would totally stay there again.

Yelp
What an incredible experience we had at the rush creek lodge. The rooms and property were beautiful and everything has an upscale cabin vibe. The spa was great and the restaurant had great food and beer. Also the gift shop is 100x better than anything at Yosemite. Will be stopping here next time.

Yelp
Fantastic place. Beautiful room and heated pool and spas. We did the $65 all day spa. Very relaxing and different treatment/experiences that are covered in the $65. You can order food and cocktails while relaxing in the magnesium waterfall spa. Only downside is, alot of stairs to get to different areas of the resort. We went on Easter and they hide eggs all over the property for the kids. I can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
We had a great stay at this resort. Beautiful, safe, only 2 miles from Yosemite park. The food, like most resorts in small towns, is not great and is very expensive. Drinks are small and cost almost as much as drinks in Vegas, my husband's old fashioned cost $17. Our dinner was about $120 for two of us to dine in with one appetizer, two basic meals, one old fashioned and one beer. The pool was way too cold, they said it was heated to 71°, but when it's 50° outside, this is not warm enough. The hot tubs were way too hot at 104°, including the "family" hot tub we brought our baby into. Lastly, the room's curtains are nearly see-through with poor darkening abilities for my baby to nap. We would, however, stay here again despite these negatives.

Yelp
This review is for the on-site restaurant. Went there last weekend for dinner for three. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Large portions too so we had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. For appetizers, we ordered a ceasar salad and the sweet chili friend cauliflower. For dinner we got the barbacoa tacos, cheesesteak sandwich, and burger. Everyone was very pleased with their meals.

Yelp
Rush Creek Lodge happened to be one of the closest places to eat on a Friday's night drive back from Yosemite National Park. The prices were a little on the higher end, but seeing as though this was an upscale hotel, that was expected. I got the Empire Strikes Back ($18), one of their seasonal cocktails with Elderflower Gin, honey, lemon, and bitters. It was very refreshing. Apparently, an Aperol Spritz would have cost me the same $18 as well so I opted for a more unique cocktail. Their Cioppino ($32) had good flavor but I would love to have seen more seafood in it especially for the price I'm paying. The Bison Chili Mac ($28) lacked flavor and was a disappointment and was a pretty small portion. Seeing as though we didn't have much of an option for dining, I would only suggest this place if you don't mind the prices.

Yelp
We stayed in late July for four days. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The room we stayed in was clean and beautiful with a balcony with a beautiful atmosphere perfect for chilling- napping- reading etc. My sisters and I went glass blowing where we ended with beautiful glass flowers. We also went to the game room, pool with jacuzzi and smores, restuarant. The restuarant has solid food, a little pricey. Our favorites were the salmon, mini barbacoa tacos, and lemon meringue pie! We also had the pina colada- which I personally would leave the rum out.

Yelp
We booked based off the proximity to Yosemite NP not realizing how wonderful this resort is to return to after spending hours at the park. This place is perfect for families. Easy 3 minutes entrance to Yosemite from the west. The grounds is well kept and staff is friendly. Arrived a little earlier than check-in and our room was ready. There is a well stocked convenient store/gift shop of souvenirs to a variety of snacks, wine, and breakfast items. Our room was cozy with a balcony. Comes with a fridge and surprisingly no tv...but we didn't even miss it since we spent our time at the park or exploring around the resort and enjoying their amenities. The kids loved coming back to the pool each night and their nightly s'mores. Hubby and I enjoyed easily ordering from the pool side bar and relaxing in their jacuzzis. We participated in some nightly activities to bingo, painting and trivia. There is always something to do. The kids also enjoyed the game room and zip lining. We had pleasant experiences dining at their restaurants and food was good. We loved how they offer buffet for the kids offering items such as mozzarella sticks, spaghetti, chicken fingers, and watermelon. Overall, we loved staying here. The amenities were great for all of us. A sunset deck and nature trails around the resort are other things worth mentioning to enjoy the pure nature that surrounds you. The lodge can also book tours/hikes for your convenience. The staff we encountered were all friendly and so accommodating. You won't regret your stay. Rush Creek Lodge is truly your home away from home.

Yelp
We stayed in May (delayed review) and were treated to some awesome weather, and although the property is cool and in a good location, it's very loud. 1. Staff: with the exception of one guy at the front desk who had a slight 'tude, the staff were friendly-to-great. Most everyone with whom we interacted in the bar, restaurants, coffee shop, etc. were pleasant and helpful. 2. Noise level: this was the crazy part - it was so friggin' loud! Both in our room and elsewhere on the property. With respect to the room, ours was on the lower of two floors and every morning a kid staying upstairs would run back and forth...the full length of their room, and we heard it all (see below on parents) - it woke us up each day. With respect to the property, children are literally screaming at the top of their lungs both inside the lodge and outside - not exaggerating, and it goes on and on and... A good percentage of the parents were letting their kids run rampant, and the staff didn't do anything about it. We didn't complain about the room or the screaming (forget reading a book in the library), so we decided to let it roll off and just tried to ignore it. It was crazy. 3. Food: pretty good. 4. Area: great location, and we were treated to an awesome late snow storm that surprised even the locals; lucky. Overall, cool property with all kinds of nooks and crannies, but way, way too loud. Unfortunately, we won't return unless the kid issue is solved.

Yelp
This lodge is wonderful! We just returned from my son's wedding and it was perfect. The staff is great and facility is fantastic. Just a mile from the Yosemite gate. The rooms are nice. Our grand kids loved the game room and playground. Recommend it highly! Enjoy a great vacation.

Yelp
Rush Creek Lodge & Spa has everything and then some to make your Yosemite trip even more amazing! It's very close to the park (5-10 minutes), and it has everything you need in one place. Hotel, spa, pool, gift shop, bar, restaurant (indoor and outdoor sitting areas), amazing patio where you can play some games or just relax on the couch. Their restaurant has delicious food, and the prices are very reasonable. Lots of choices so they have something for everyone. Staff is very helpful and super friendly! Definitely recommend it if you are looking for a place to stay near Yosemite or just want to stop by for some drinks and food.

Yelp
We stopped at this place on the way back from Yosemite and we were surprised with it. Service is friendly. They have a game room, great for kids and an adult room with a bar in it. The pool and hot tub looked perfect and steamy for this cold day. We even considered staying here. The price per night is about 450. It has some trails for hikes. Recommended for families.

Yelp
Beautiful resort just outside Yosemite park. We chose the location for combo of proximity to Yosemite and amenities. Love that they have a heated pool and hot tubs cranking in spring. So much for kiddos to do - s'mores at night, game room, Easter egg hunt! Rooms are large and well equipped. Fun to sit on the balcony and enjoy a beverage evening or morning. We appreciated the fridge in the room, and microwave and laundry in the common area. We ate several dinners here during our stay and had a positive experience. Kids have gluten allergy and gf items are marked on the menu, and if you talk to the staff they will make other options as well. No dedicated frier so no fries for the kiddos tho. Enjoyed the gf tacos, chicken salad, and hamburger with gf bun. Less awesome was the soggy flatbread. The onsite store has great breakfast to go (either to bring back to room or get an early start on trails) as well as lots of options to pack a lunch - we appreciated gf options including gf bread to make sandwiches, frozen gf meals, make your own trail mix, etc. but

Yelp
Echoing many other reviews, Rush Creek is a superb facility with a great location and a terrific, helpful staff. The Spa is also great. So, why the 3 stars?? The food. For a resort with $600+ room rates, there is an expectation of quality cuisine...and this ain't it. The Tavern has a great bar, but the kitchen is churning out Applebee's level plates. The Philly might be the worst I've ever had. Even worse, the pool "cookouts" are actually catered grub reminiscent of summer camp. Bland and dry with numerous bees helping themselves to the entrees...Nature!! So, book the trip and bring the kids and see the sights. You'll have a great time...and maybe even lose a few pounds!!

Jeronimo S.

Yelp
The area is beautiful and the hotel has a lot to offer, but the bathrooms are cleaned so poorly. Found a lot of hair in the shower, make sure you check. The toilet smelled like pee. It's not worth the price, not to mention the spa is even more expensive and not that big. Bathroom floor is cheap and may be warped. Housekeepers are young and immature so if you run into one, rest assured they will give you a hard time. Food is delicious and WILL get repetitive. I highly recommend you waste your time here! Coffee made at the market is delicious.

Jia N.

Yelp
The resort looks nice and the stay was good. The host at the restaurant seems rude and did not want to answer our questions. I noticed he caters more to clientele that are deemed "American" than us Asians.

Yelp
My husband, daughter and son-in-law have had a spectacular time at this incredible establishment. Our five day stay was met with warm, welcoming employees from the moment we arrived. The tavern dinners were delicious and the service was all around fabulous. Thank you to the entire place for making this such an enjoyable time. We topped the week off with a spa day and let's just say, we didn't want to leave the relaxing atmosphere so after the message we lounged for the rest of the day. I highly recommend this lodge. We didn't bring children but noticed the fun-filled time the families were having all week. Tons of activities to keep the children entertained. By the way, we enjoyed the s'mores as much as the kiddos.

Yelp
Review is for the tavern only! Overall, RCL is amazing! What a beautiful resort. The grounds are just lovely, the shop is nice, and the spa is absolutely incredible. My friends and I spent a few hours at the spa and then decided to have lunch in the tavern. UGH, what a buzzkill. We went to the tavern in the early afternoon on a Saturday. The place was practically empty. We were going to just grab seats at the bar, but a host ran up and curtly told us we needed to go to the host stand to ask for a seat. Okayyy-- we did so and then were seated at a booth. We were fine with this, but it got off to a weird start. We were handed some pretty beat-up paper menus and when we looked at them, we realized they didn't match! Some had items on it that weren't on the others. No idea if those items were available or not. The server came by and we were ready to order. One of my friends wanted the wings, and she then informed us that they were out. It happens, but it was annoying they didn't inform us at the beginning so we could plan accordingly. We ordered food, 2 cocktails, and 1 beer. We waited and waited for the drinks and after about 10 minutes, the server came back and let us know they were out of an ingredient for one of the cocktails. Again -- how annoying. My friend made a different drink choice and then the server finally came back with our cocktail order. It felt like the food took forever to come out. I had ordered a chicken sandwich with a salad that was supposed to have a dressing on it. Another guest at our table ordered the salad as well. When I looked at our salads, hers was dressed and mine was dry. It took a minute and we finally got our server's attention and I asked if I could please have some salad dressing. Now the server seemed annoyed and asked me "Ok, so you want more dressing?", to which I said mine doesn't have any. The server again said, "Ok, I'll get you MORE dressing". Sheesh. Whatever. They brought my salad dressing and it didn't look anything like what the other salad had (theirs was a creamy-looking one, whereas mine was a vinaigrette). The food was ok, but ungodly expensive. My chicken was kind of tough, but I was starving, so whatever. A table was seated next to us and their server was upbeat and informative, letting them know that they were out of the wings, another app, and ALL chicken. I guess I got the last one. So weird. At least these guests were informed ahead of time. Why on earth would you be out of so many items on a weekend?? Throughout, we were never offered to order dessert or more drinks, which I guess is ok since a cocktail was $18 a pop. I get that its a schmancy hotel and the prices are going to be what they are, but the service was seriously awful. Then we sat with empty plates in this empty restaurant for the longest time. The server finally dropped off the check and I paid. It was $160 for lunch for 4 people, which I wouldn't have cared if the service would have matched what we had just experienced in the spa. Such a disappointment after just being on Cloud 9. Go and enjoy the spa, but if you're hungry, just do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Cheryl J.

Yelp
I have been to the spa a few times. A word of caution. The cancellation policy is very unforgiving and regrettably, there are very few folks on staff that do facials. Once you cancel getting a new appointment is very challenging and a refund is not provided - just a credit. Absolutely make sure you are not going to need to change your appointment prior to booking. Also, a few times I have called the staff, they are very confused on appointment times and availabilities. My experience with the restauants generally has been positive.

Yelp
Rush creek lodge is THE place to stay when visiting Yosemite. It was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. It's on the pricier end however it was worth every penny! Rush creeks decor has a modern rustic feel and it smelled heavenly. Rush creek is truly a one stop shop. They have a dinning hall, bar, indoor game room for kids, coffee shop/ convenience store, gift shop, spa, pools, hot tubs, fire pits, hiking and biking trails! I found it very refreshing that there were no TVs in the rooms! It made it feel like a true vacation :) The staff is amazing and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Food was great. I lost my debit card and staff made everyone aware in case they found it. Fortunately it was found the next day and turned it at the front desk. I am so thankful for our stay and would absolutely love to visit again !

Yelp
I didn't spend the night here, but had a great experience eating here and chilling in the lounge and game rooms. The whole lodge has an air of authenticity about it. The fireplaces burn real wood fires. The games are classy and free. The Wi-Fi is fast. The restaurant staff are extremely friendly. The food was also really good. Quite pricey, but was worth it for the whole thing they have going on. Top class

Yelp
Thank you so much, Rush Creek Lodge and Spa at Yosemite " the perfect day to enjoy and relax

Yelp
Family friendly! The staff were all super friendly, the food was excellent, the room was clean and spacious. My family loved closing out our long days at the park back at the huge pool followed by dinner and the free fireside smores. RCL has a super close entrance to the park and one of the faster routes directly to the valley. Highly recommend by a dad of 3 small kids.

Yelp
The resort is so charming and comfortable. The resort itself is full of every amenity you could ask for. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The have a game room, spa, and, hiking trails on the grounds. Delicious restaurants and a great store to have coffee and snacks. We made the trip from San Diego and had limited time. Rush Creek suggested a private tour. THIS IS A MUST!! TYLER geared our tour specifically for what we wanted. We unfortunately had a rainy day but we were able to have an unforgettable experience. The hike was so serene and breathtaking. The hidden surprises were definitely things we never would have found on our own. Tyler shared his vast knowledge and passion for the environment and we enjoyed learning. Thank you!!

Yelp
Yes definitely!! It's a beautiful lodge and very family friendly. We booked a villa sleeps up to 6 people for 2 bedrooms. There's plenty of storage and a fridge. We had a huge balcony that overlooks the hill and a nice way to be one with nature aka glamping. It's about 30 mins away from Yosemite valley. The property is huge where there are a few hiking trails on property so if you have little ones they can do a mini hike. They have a schedule of daily activities for the kids and the family and a full on indoor/outdoor spa.

Yelp
We didn't have the pleasure of staying at the lodge, but we enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner at their restaurant and it was so nice! Our waitress was super friendly and the special prix fixe menu was a good deal for a holiday and included a lot of food. The ambiance and views were great and it all made our family really want to stay here one day!

Sofia L.

Yelp
I didn't stay here overnight but I visited! It was a lovely property with so much to do like visit the outdoor pool, spa, general store and activity center. It's very close to Yosemite and had some warnings to watch out for wild animals. If you were looking for something a little further away and less wildlife, you can try their sister lodge, fireball ranch, which has similar accommodations. I'd say firefall was quieter but slightly less activities!

Yelp
RUN DON'T WALK.... to rush creek in groveland!!! AMAZING facility and food!! Spa is a 10!! great for women AND men! My husband said it was THE BEST DEEP TISSUE EVER!!! Amy did a serious "deep tissue" per him too!! Kids WILL have the time of their lives!!!! literally!!!! First time I've experienced a huge clean warm pool that is open 24/7!!! Soooooo Awesome oh and jacuzzi's are open 24/7 too!!! WOW!!! It's what childhood camping trips are made of!!!

Yelp
I've traveled the world and stayed in a wide variety of resorts. This is the most family oriented resort I have had the pleasure of staying in! Everything from the enormous game room to the plethora of outdoor activities. The room is pleasantly comfortable with an amazing view. The shower has wonderful water pressure. The restaurant has many delicious eats for all meals throughout the day. Justin, the restaurant manager was a true professional!

Yelp
Thank you to the amazing management here, they literally saved my life. I was traveling with some friends and due to unfortunate circumstances we found ourselves without a car nearing nightfall, and Andrea and Isaac were kind enough to take us back to our house despite us not even being checked in at the lodge! Very helpful people, amazing hospitality

Tani S.

Yelp
We stayed here for two days and it was amazing and we wished we had stayed longer! We booked it since it was on the tripadvisor center of excellence. I'm a bit surprised it is ranked lower than it's sister property since the rooms are new and clean and love that it's fairly accessible from Yosemite National Park (fifteen minutes from the entrance on a fairly flat road). The rooms were beautiful with natural wood and were the cleanest among the three hotels we stayed at during our CA vacation (despite this one ironically being the lowest nightly rate of the three). The bathroom was spacious and loved the modern touches and I miss the rosemary scented hand wash! We loved the balcony as well as the views of the stars from outside. This was our first resort experience and we loved the nightly s'mores they had for the children and the different activities they had planned--some for a fee such as glassmaking while others are complementary such as s'mores. The pool was wonderful at night (the pool is open 24 hrs), the ping pong table fun, and loved the game room (we borrowed Clue and really enjoyed it both of our nights there). The one downside is there is nothing close to this so from an eating standpoint you either eat in Yosemite park, drive 30 minutes to the nearest town, or make reservations at their restaurant. The restaurant was booked for dinner the two nights we were there (they managed to get us in but it was a bit of juggling). Service was friendly--one of the waitresses was fantastic while the other waiter we had one night was a bit more flustered so not as great of an experience (but understand since staffing must be difficult). If we ever come back to Yosemite this would be the place we would want to stay and if we lived in the Bay area I could easily seeing making a week at this resort an annual tradition to enjoy such breathtaking natural beauty and a fun time for families.

Yelp
Receptionist was uninterested & annoyed when she couldn't find my reservation I had booked with Expedia, I asked to speak with her manager and Kayla kindly assisted me and gave me a better rate for the night and also told me she would put the charge on hold, I'm assuming it is so they can clear it with Expedia. We got room 119 and I CANT SLEEP! I am tossing and turning because the beds are crap, It is worse then sleeping on the floor:( I am wondering if the discount was worth it. Be warned if you want a restful night sleep DO NOT BOOK HERE! The amenities are great and the landscape is Beautiful! A friend highly recommended this hotel but I'm sad it didn't meet the hype.

Yelp
In terms of hotel location and amenities - this place is a 5 for me. But what gets down the overall rating is the housekeeping service and the hotel restaurant. For charging a $600-700 room rate excluding taxes and fees - you expect a lot on your quality of stay . I booked a bed and breakfast package . After first full day at the park , got back at the hotel at 4pm expecting our room made up as we were all tired . Called and said housekeeping is done after 4. Waited till 730pm , have to call again before it was made up . Breakfast is just the same quality you get in a free hotel breakfast in 3 star hotel chain . They should review this as it is a pretty common theme from hotel guest reviews I've seen heee .

Yelp
Accommodation is fine and location is great. Poor management of the restaurant and bar is what really drags this place down. The food is super expensive and mediocre at best. Table management is awful especially in the morning where the 1 staff member tasked with seating people seems to be incapable of seating anyone in less than 8 minutes despite the restaurant being largely empty. Breakfast bookings is an unusual and inefficient way to run a restaurant compounded by the incompetent person tasked with managing it. No one wants to queue for 15 minutes for breakfast especially with empty tables everywhere. Much of the food is prepared the day before - avocado toast was terrible - a very thin slice of store bought bread with wilted arugula and day old avocado refrigerated over night. Hash browns were greasy and cold, strong taste of oil which means the oil is old and or inadequately filtered. French fries are just bad. They are trying to do the coated French fries but it fails. Not a professional kitchen or restaurant operation but Michelin star prices. Bar is OK but some of the staff are more focussed on chatting to their colleagues than serving customers and any deviation from their menu is always pushed back on. Can't recommend you eat here but the nearest alternatives are 30 minutes away.

Yelp
The spa is phenomenal, but it's a shame the customer service at the spa doesn't match that vibe. The credit card I used to book my appointment was charged for an extra service I did not receive as well as cosmetic products from the spa that I did not want/select/get/AUTHORIZE. Trying to clear these charges has been a stressful nightmare! The 2 front desk spa employees I spoke to did not know how to use or read their computer system and one was passive aggressive and dismissive of me. Spoke to two managers, one of which gave me excuses for the mistakes and assured a credit was issued, but nothing has been credited on my card statement. Super disappointed with the carelessness, lack of communication, and professionalism of the staff. CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS AFTER BOOKING/VISITING THIS SPA AND MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET OVERCHARGED like I did.

Yelp
Comfortable, clean rooms in an eco- friendly setting just outside Yosemite NP. Great views, nice people, and all facilities free for guest use. Outstanding Tavern and restaurant with deliciously simple menu. Great place to relax from the insanely busy crowds inside Yosemite. Spa, pool, hot tub, wood fires, s'mores, stargazing. Kid friendly but quiet.

Yelp
Loved our stay at Rush Creek Lodge. Check in was easy, we were in our room within 10 minutes. They have abundant luggage carts available- and the elevators were quick. Our room looked over the back of the property- it was a lovely view. The land surrounding the lodge is great. Cool reflecting pond near the entrance that is quiet and nice to hang out in and read. The Tavern has excellent food, in fact every meal we had was great. Even the sandwiches from the general store were good- and we ate them for lunch numerous days. We went on 2 Tours- range of light and glacier point and the valley. The tours were very similar in coverage- the guides knowledgeable and they covered much of the main site seeing points. We had a hood time on both tours- each one showed us areas we wanted to see .. the only things we missed were mirror lake and maybe a longer hike .. but we will catch that next time! It was handy having a knowledgeable driver running the vans- it would have taken us much longer to navigate the locations, parking and driving to all the cool spots. We also did a half day of fly fishing with echo .. and they were fantastic! We hung out at the pool for a few hours after hiking- the bar was easy to grab beverages from, and their smoothies were excellent as was the mango margarita! The only issue we had with the pool was figuring out what seats were occupied as people didn't clean up their towels as they left. We found seats each time and the pool never seemed over crowded despite being their during peak summer. No TVs in the room, we loved this and honestly didn't notice it wasn't there. There were games in the room and books on the region which were both used and enjoyed by the family. The rooms were comfortable - laundry room on the 1st floor was handy and not super expensive. There is also a microwave on the 1st floor in the laundry room. The room has a frig and a whole area of open shelves that made luggage and unpacking a breeze. We spent plenty of time on the balcony and could have used a 3rd chair but we made do. We'll be back- this place made the yearly visit list! It was worth the time, money and we would not hesitate to return. We want to try snow shoeing in the winter and look forward to trying more adventure tours.

Yelp
The grounds here are absolutely beautiful. Our two bedroom cabin was absolutely amazing. Super clean ! Our view was mesmerizing ! The grounds had a s'mores bonfire free of charge. They have a restaurant on site. They have all kinds of games like bags, pool, and shuffleboard. If you have little kids they will be in love with this place. Their restaurants food is soooooo good !!

Yelp
By far the best hotel in the area. Very kid friendly (zip lines, pool, game room, play structure, slides), clean, and modern. We came on Easter and they had an egg hunt and the Easter bunny. I appreciate the thoughtful planning. BUT... If it wasn't for these 2 staff members, my experience there would of been perfect. Both encounters happened on 4/8 around 7pm. The front desk (girl with long blonde hair wearing glass) and the cashier at the store. Completely rude and out of line. There are certain ways to speak to guests and they both have no clue.

Yelp
Overall, my wife and I had a great time here attending the wedding of a good friend. The food in the restaurant, however, was less than appetizing. And their coffee is not recommended at all. The accommodations were nice.

Yelp
We stayed from Dec 30- Jan 2. There was some snow around the first day but it snowed over night and it was a Winter Wonderland. Although the weather is out the Lodge's control, the facilities itself were still beautiful and enjoyable. First of all, the Rec room for the kids is magnificent. Messy by evening/dinner time as to be expected but it's highly used. We have a little one so she got to play with the Legos and wasn't as interested in the climbing structure. Maybe next time. But great for all ages! Secondly, restaurant and bar/tavern on location is a must have for its location. We ate here several times for lunch and dinner. The food was hit or miss depending on what you ordered. Most was okay- good. Because one day the road was closed to Yosemite, we ate here twice in a day and got a little tired of the same thing. It was nice though that NYE dinner they offered a special prix fixe meal although we did not partake. Nice they usually have sorbet (non dairy ice cream) on hand for people who are lactose intolerant or just prefer it! We were with friends who have older kids and they always wanted ice cream or sorbet with dinner! :) happy kids! The SPA. The SPA. THE SPA. Was divine. Even if you don't book a massage, take advantage and go to the spa. They have family hours when children can attend, I believe it was 8-11am. Then the remainder of the day is adults only. They have a steam room, sauna, heated elevated seats, warm water fountain benches, cold mist or showers, and a sensory room inside. Outside they have a hot tub, foot massages, swing beds, and chairs to relax and lounge. It was a little cold to sit and chill outside although we did for a few minutes. The hot tub seemed like the most popular place since there were always 5-10 people in there so we didn't bother. We got massages. Da hubs said his was good. Mine was magnificent! Very kind massage therapist and listened to my concerns and quirks about my body. Overall, a marvelous experience at the spa! We didn't get to take a dip in the pool although there were people in there everyday despite the cold weather. I appreciate that the lodge "allows" swimming, basically it's open and if you choose to. Service was not the greatest. They were kind, everyone was kind. It's just when we called to ask for utensils or wine glasses, they basically told us to get it ourselves. From the restaurant. Because "they were only one person and if they left to get it then no one would be there to answer the phone". This was relayed from my husband. My response is, "well, take a few minutes to deliver or find someone to do it. If someone calls, just like us if they really want it they'll call again." But we made do and asked for glasses at dinner and they gave us plastic cups. ‍ because we asked for 6 or more. Okay!... This place is very spacious. There's a common space within the building we stayed in which was nice to chill with friends. The room was also spacious. I likes the sliding doors. The patio was beautiful to see the fresh snow. And forgot to mention the common space in the main lodge area. When we arrived in the evening there were many families playing, hanging out, staying warm by the fire, snacking and eating. It looked like a movie. It was nice to see such a space being utilized this way. Overall, this lodge is beautiful and well taken care of. It's modern enough with a nice rustic touch. With the exception of calling to ask for utensils and mugs/glasses, staff were superb especially in the Rec area and the restaurants. They're constantly helping customers and nice about it!

Yelp
Lilly was such an amazing person to help us navigate all of our trip questions. She gave us ideas, directions, pointers and most of all amazing customer service! Not 1 time did we feel we asked a dumb "tourist" question, wasted her time or pressured to end the conversation. The customer service was top shelf and I would highly recommend this place to all people coming into Yosemite! Without her help my kids and I would never gotten the Yosemite experience like we did! It was an epic memory making day that is forever in our hearts and memories that was all because Lilly took the time to share her knowledge with us! Well done!!!

Yelp
Stayed here recently for several days as a jumping off point for Yosemite National Park. You are located about 2 miles from the park entrance and about 45 minutes from Yosemite Village. It is located off of highway 120 about 30 minutes east of Groveland, CA. The complex has quite a few buildings that include staff quarters, main quest quarters, pool area, spa, lodge, store, restaurants, and associated outdoor spaces. Overall I was pleased with the layout and the sheer variety of spaces and onsite activities. Children had plenty to do from short ziplines, outdoor games, pool, and indoor games. There are not many restaurant choices nearby so either plan ahead or utilize the restaurant onsite or poolside BBQ. The spa was well done with a good variety of amenities including massage, steam room, dry sauna, hot stone, waterfall showers, etc. The room was clean and well put together. No TV's in the room but an Alexa unit. The balcony was clean and not covered in dirt which made it inviting to just hang out on it. Unfortunately, I did not find the bed or pillows comfortable. The pillows were too soft for my liking. Struggled with the thermostat being too cold or hot at night. Finally figured it out on the last night. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. They seem to really enjoy working there. The price is what you would expect for a lodge and spa close to Yosemite. This place puts you close to Yosemite. Especially good for non-campers or those with children that need activities for them while you chill. The proximity allowed us to get to Yosemite village before a lot of people so we could get parking where we wanted. I would stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed in a suite at the Rush Creek Lodge for my birthday. We opted to stay at this hotel due to it's close distance to the Yosemite park entrance and amenities. I have mixed feelings about our experience... The location is perfect, about 5/10 minutes up the road to the Yosemite Park entrance. Another 30-45 minutes into the valley. It is also close to the lesser visited Hetch Hetchy which is also about 30/45 minutes away. Our suite was a good size and had lots of storage space to unpack our belongings. A few things to note, the rooms don't come with a tv or microwave. If you want the microwave or ice, you have to go down to the first floor. Our bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress is firm and had a waterproof mattress cover that made crunching sounds anytime you moved. There was also a very obnoxious flashing green light from the smoke detector that flashed every 30 seconds while we were trying to sleep. If you want to eat dinner in the restaurant plan to make reservations. We didn't but were able to grab a seat at the bar. If you want to go into Groveland it's about 20-30 minutes away to the next closest restaurant so keep that in mind. We started with the Poke appetizer which was delicious. I had the cioppino for dinner and it was excellent. It had some different fish that I'd expect in a classic cioppino but it was still good. Only downside was the bread served with it was very stale. For breakfast, I'd recommend grabbing one of their premade meals to go from the giftshop. We didn't take full advantage of all the amenities like the pool, hot tubs, spa, and free smores. We did participate in the trivia night which was fun and we won! It was all trivia facts about Yosemite. We also enjoyed playing shuffle board outside after dinner. They have a big game room with pool tables and board games as well.
