The Restored Burlington Northern Depot & WWII Memorial Museum

Love the restoration here. The Railroad portion was a neat story, but what caught us was the military and WW II history. Small displays, but the conversation with the curators was timeless. The displays and stories made my day. Drop in and spend a few minutes here, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful, alot of local history, an information. Love all the displays from when it was in it's prime. If your visiting Red Oak, Iowa it's definitely a must see!!

Beautiful space book a party now

So I came here on a day they were closed. The hours are very short and it makes it hard for people to visit this museum. I am a lover trains and train history. I do enjoy the location because it is a very short drive from the center of town. It's also perched on a hill and the outside of the building looks very cute. I hope the hours are a little better when I come to Iowa next because I would love to see the inside. The outside was incredible and made me smile! The three stars is because of the hours being so short and during the middle of the week. I wish I could have seen the inside of this place on a Saturday. Next time I will try to visit during your business hours!
