The Reverie Saigon

"Built like an Italian palazzo, the brand new Reverie Saigon brings in a level of luxury previously unseen in Ho Chi Minh City. Everything about the hotel is over-the-top opulent, from the palatial, marble-clad lobby to the lavish rooms, individually appointed by top Italian decorators and decked out in Carrara marble and plush Italian silks. There are three upscale restaurants—French, Cantonese, and Italian (of course)—plus a 157-foot bar that’s so long, it stretches from Dong Khoi Street all the way to Nguyen Hue Boulevard two blocks over. Not to be outshone, Reverie’s spa is a two-level, 13,000-square-foot affair with two open-air Jacuzzis and an Olympic-size swimming pool, naturally. Impressive, indeed—if not borderline intimidating. Editor's Pick: Hot List 2016"

"Occupying most of a 38-floor Times Square building, the Reverie Saigon initially made waves for its over-the-top flourishes: the house cars are a limited-edition Rolls-Royce Phantom Dragon and a Maybach, both parked out front; the lobby features a $500,000 jade-and-gold Baldi clock; and the property feels like it used all the marble and Murano glass in Italy. What’s surprising, then, is how well it all works—and how quickly you might feel at ease. A large part of that is thanks to the warm, attentive service (sniffle once, for example, and ginger tea will appear at your doorstep) and the 286 airy guest rooms themselves, which—though full of whimsical touches by international design houses like Visionnaire and Provasi—manage to call to mind serene sanctuaries floating high above the city bustle. The on-site dining options (including places for traditional Cantonese, fine-dining French, and modern Italian) draw local crowds, and the two-story spa features an ozone-infused outdoor pool equipped with underwater speakers—plus some of the best therapists in town."

This hotel is amazing. So beautiful with a spectacular breakfast buffet and amazing pool. The team is beyond helpful. We left an item in the room and Mr Phu Nguyen took the time to post it to next hotel in Vietnam. He followed up by WhatsApp many times until the item was safely delivered. I've never seen care to this level before and we absolutely can't wait to be back. Thank you again!

The most ostentatious hotel I've stayed in but what a great place. Right in the heart of Saigon or HMC in the middle of all the action. The staff are incredibly professional, helpful and friendly, and always at hand, whatever your needs. The rooms were large and well equipped with fantastic views across the city and the river. If you have a special occasion, they make you feel extra special in the room, so always let them know. I'd definitely stay again as it was a lovely experience.

The accommodations have consistently provided exceptional service on all previous visits. The rooms truly offer a luxurious experience, comparable to the finest resorts. It is an ideal place for a relaxing stay. The overall experience is consistently wonderful, making it an easy recommendation. You will not be disappointed by the high standards of quality.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Reverie Saigon!||The rooms are spacious with opulent design elements and a great view (we had the panorama room). Bathroom, automatic curtains, air con, gym - everything is of high quality. ||We had a nice lunch at the Michelin star Cantonese restaurant. Another highlight was the breakfast with Cuong’s very attentive and professional team (particular thank you to Tran and Huy). Great signature poached egg (Reverie egg) or Bircher Müsli. ||We will surely come back!

A huge modern hotel in the centre of Ho Chi Min City; our stay coincided with the final rehearsals for the 30th of April parade; both the hotel as well as the city were very crowded. It was impressive to see all the Vietnamese people so enthusiastic and proud of their country.|The hotel is a de luxe venue and used to large numbers of guests; the staff is very friendly, very busy on Saturday evening and Sunday morning; still managing a friendly word and showing interest is us. The food was fine.|Special was the escort of two bell boys when our guide and driver could not reach the hotel due to the road blocks for the rehearsals; they had to take a considerable detour to ultimately deliver us safely to our guide. This service was well appreciated.

This hotel is beautiful and all the staff members are so nice and professional. They make you feel so welcomed. Also, the food here was absolutely delicious. My family and I are not fans of buffets at all, but omg! Everything that we tried at this buffet was fresh and so good. Great staff, beautiful rooms and delicious food. I definitely recommend The Reverie Saigon!

Overall very exquisite and intricate design. In the city centre as well. Nothing to complain.||To the boss of the room service employees who cleaned my room 3419 on May 1st, please give them a raise. After an exhausting day with my friends and family, i was welcomed with a brilliant room. The bed was reorganized to beautifully mirror each other on the sides. My leftover food on the coffee table was neatly sorted as well. They remembered my preference of extra water bottles and gave 2 extra ones on the desks near the bed each with a glass, also mirroring each other. The room lighting was perfectly dimmed to give off a romantic vibe (although i don’t really need it haha). Bathroom was sparkling clean, and i don’t remember asking for floor mats but they somehow knew i needed them and set up 2 anyways which was super considerate.||I’ve been to many 5-star hotels, but i’ve never seen this kind of artistic sense and passionate effort from a room service employee before. This extraordinary performance, in my opinion, must be well-rewarded. Please keep training these room cleaners well with deserving rewards so they can keep doing the same thing to future residents.

The service in this hotel is very attentive. They are very courteous and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The view is great and location is as central as it can get. Food is very average at the French restaurant. The long bar doesn’t have air conditioning which can make it quite unpleasant if you go there during the summer like we did. The rooms had a musty smell which was very unpleasant. Also the decor in the room is quite jarring but this is something I should have paid more attention to before booking.
